Chasing After My Wife Chapter 267

Anton burned the midnight oil for one whole month in addition to his regular study session with Sister Ani. He worked his fingers to the bone to ace the test that she gave him.
There's no room for failure because his time was limited. He didn't stop for an average result. He aimed high and to get great results. Everyday, he would chant his promise before going to sleep and after he wakes up.
At the same time, he waited if ever she showed up again. He wanted to show her the things he achieved for her. It took him only three years to reach the right level of education that matches his age.
At the very young age, he started working as a teacher's assistant to get an additional allowance. Sometimes, he would make a flower arrangement using the plants in the orphanage and sold it to make more money. Sister Ani let him do whatever he wanted as long as his grades won't drop.
Aside from studying during the weekdays, Anton would go to a free livelihood trainings and learned so much from them. He learned to make bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. From the small money he earned, he bought some materials and would make accessories during the night. He would sell it to his classmates and to his teachers to make profit. He did all these when he was in high school.
He didn't shy away from anyone. Everyday, he would chant his promise to keep him going and take another step for the future.
When he was in college he took a business course to enhance his knowledge when it comes to business. It was also during college when he learned how to make shoes. He gave it a try and bought several materials. He had to make everything manually because he didn't have any machines that could help him.

Everyday he would go to class with wounds all over his hands from cutting, stitching, waxing, trimming and all the other processes. He didn't mind the pain and for the sake of finding her again.
The first pair of shoes he made was a low heeled shoes for his finance teacher. He only asked her if she was willing to help him and the teacher agreed since it could her her student. When Anton brought the shoes, she didn't even believed that he made it himself. It perfectly fits her feet and the materials were soft to her skin. It didn't cause her to get blisters.
"Can I get this for $200?" his teacher asked which shocked him causing him to be speechless. "No? How about $250?"
"Ahh no..I mean..isn't that too expensive for the shoes I made?" Anton scratched his head awkwardly. The price was more than enough for him to buy another set of material for three pairs of shoes.
"$250 then. I don't want anyone else to get this. Give me your bank account to I can transfer the money." his teacher stated which was another dilemma for him.
"I..uuhh.. I don't have a bank account professor."
"You don't have? So how should I pay? Cash?" Ahhh wait! Do you have class after this?"
"No prof."
"Great! Let's go to the bank and open your account. How can you run your business without a bank account?"
Anton didn't expect it at all. The middle-aged teacher who looked strict was actually a nice person. He was even afraid to talk to her at first but seeing her having blisters because of her shoes, he gave it a try.
His teacher helped him with the process and deposited the $200 directly to his account. "Thank you so much professor. It's really a big help to me."

"No problem. At the same time, you need to get a lot of man power in the future."
"Why?"
"Why? Because after today, you will get lots of orders."
"Whoa! I hope it will be true." Anton laughed cheerfully at his comment. He was happy that he got to make someone happy because of the shoes he made.
When they got back to the university, the professor walked elegantly with her new beautiful shoes. Her colleagues were curious and eyed her shoes with a drool.
"That's very lovely! Where did you get that? Did you receive another gift from your son?" asked another professor to her.
"Nope but I bought this with my son's money. Isn't this pretty?"
"It is. How much is this? Which brand?"
"Uhh. $500 from Xavier's."
"$500? That's very cheap for such amazing shoes!"
"I know right! I was really shocked! I'll buy again next time when my son sends me another pocket money."
"Bring us with you if you will go. We don't know where this Xavier's is."
"The owner of Xavier is studying in this university. You don't know?"
"Xavier...Xavier..Xavier.." the teachers were thinking who she meant when their eyes went wide. "Anton Xavier?!"
"Yup. He made this for me. He asked for my measurement a week ago because he saw me getting blisters with my shoes and he customized this for me."
"Oh god! That handsome student can actually make an amazing shoes?!"
"Yup. That's his business."
"I'll go ask him to make one for me."
"Me too."
And with that short conversation, Anton got a bunch of customers which mostly came from the business faculty.
Students were even wondering why he was popular to the teachers. They only realized it when he came with boxes of shoes.
"He is selling shoes?" asked one of the students who saw him walking on the campus ground with a pile of boxes in on his arms.
"Do you need help?" it was the cleaning staff who asked since he saw him bringing five boxes of shoes.
"No but thank you. I can handle this much." Anton refused politely and brought the boxes to the faculty. Some girls followed him secretly to see what he was up to. It would be bad if he was bribing the staff with shoes in order to pass.
"Maybe he is really selling them?" one of the girls asked giving Anton the benefit of the doubt.
"To see is to believe. So let us observe." the other girl stated which was actually making sense.
