Jillyanna blushed again and she hid her face on his chest. She pulled back her hand and throw a light punch on him. "How can you calm it when you just placed my hand on it?" She mumbled on his chest which made Travis laugh so hard.

It was fun to tease her with these kind of activities. Sometimes, he could see how brave she was to deal with his personal matters but most of the time, she would just blush and be shy about it.

"How come you are still shy when it come to this? We've done it several times already."

"What several times? We've done it twice only." she argued back at him but something flashed across her mind. "Well, perhaps it was several times cause you've done several round the last time."

"Hahaha." Travis laughed so hard beside her. He really loved to tease her. Her cute little actions and her expressions were bringing joy to his life.

Even when they were young, he liked to watch her smiles, her pouts, her glares and her shy gestures. If it wasn't for his jealousy, they would've been together from the start. "I wish I could turn back the time. I would go back to the past and give my young self a little knock on his head."

"Don't think about it. There's no point thinking about it cause it's futile."

"I know. It's just that, I can't stop myself from regretting over that matter."

"I'm here, okay. Travis I'm here. The past don't matter since we still end up together. Stop thinking about it. I don't want you to feel bad about yourself. Think about the present me, not the past me."

Travis pulled Jillyanna even closer and hugged her tightly. He kissed the top of her head again and again to express his agreement. Jillyanna hugged him back, inhaling his scent that always calm her mind.

After half an hour, Jillyanna finally came down with Travis. He walked step by step with Jillyanna beside him. Valkyrie was quick to act and waited at the bottom of the stairs in case he'd trip up and fell, he would be there to instantly catch him. They can't let him get hurt again.

Jillyanna fully understood his action and she smiled to Valkyrie for being considerate towards Travis. Everyone watched him walk slowly towards the dining area where everyone was having their desserts.

"It's good to see that you are recovering quickly." Sky stated while she placed a new set of cutleries beside Jillyanna's seat around the table.

"Thanks mom. I don't want to burden my wife anymore so I'm trying my best."

"Don't take it too hard. In any case, we are all here to help you."

"Hn. I'll keep that in mind." Travis sat on the chair beside Jillyanna, looked at the food in front of him before shifting his gaze to Jillyanna's food. "You're still eating the food recipes I made when there's these so much food?"

"The doctor told us that I can't eat so much which is why you made different recipes for me. I love them and it's nutritious."

Travis smiled and pat her head gently. "My wife is really obedient. I'll give you a prize later."

Jillyanna grinned evilly and leaned closer to him as she whispered, "Work on your stamina first before giving me a prize, hn?"

"You have a point. I'll do that then. When the time comes, you can't say no."

Jillyanna realized her mistake and the trap she made herself. 'Ahhhh I won't last long with this beast.' she screamed internally while watching Travis reached for a corn crab soup.

"Can I get my prize tonight? You don't have to work on it."

"Nope. There's no taking back what I said." Jillyanna could only gulp her saliva from being nervous. She didn't expect to fall for her own trap.

Nobody knew what they were talking about except them. Nevertheless, everyone's happy to see their normal and sweet interactions.

Jillyanna would place light food on Travis plate to make sure that he won't have to move around so much. They chatted with everyone about what they do everyday and what places they usually go with Travis. Jillyanna was planning to bring him around the city to make him familiarize with the place again.

While they talk cheerfully, Jackie suddenly stood up on her seat. Her face obviously showed the frustration that she felt while holding her phone.

"Excuse me. I have to make a phone call." she bowed deeply to apologize and walked out of the dining area. She went to the back garden while dialing a certain number.

"You've called? Is there any problem?" Vincent asked in his usual cheerful manner that he never showed in front of Jackie while she was there.

Everytime they met, he was always serious and looked suspicious of her. He never smiled genuinely at her when she was working as a chef in the regional jail.

"Stop bothering me." Jackie stated coldly at him. Her frosty voice could freeze anyone but Vincent didn't falter at all.

"Isn't it your mission to make sure that Simon is doing fine? I took over your task so I'm sending you pictures and video to assure you that I'm doing my job properly."

Jackie pressed her left temple to stop herself from cursing him. "If you're trying to hit on me by using Simon, just stop it. It won't work on me."

"Can't we be friends?" Vincent grasped on to the last straw that he got. "I want to start over with you."

"Use your words properly. There's nothing to start over between us. And to tell you the truth, the nature of your job is my worst enemy. You get what I mean?"

Vincent took a deep sigh and put down the pen he was using to sign some documents. "I don't believe you. I know you are only using that reason to push me away."

"Heh! You won't believe me, then don't. You'll see it with your own two eyes anyway."

Jackie ended the call and went back inside with a decision in mind. "I'll make a move tonight."
