Chasing After My Wife Chapter 296

After lunch, Jillyanna brought Travis to the university that he, Diego, Cheska and Wynwyn attended before. It was another way to remember his close friends.
"So this is where I attended university with them?" Travis asked Jillyanna while walking on the campus ground with Jackie.
Jillyanna asked permission from the headmaster prior to their visit that afternoon. As one of the excellent students they have, the headmaster allowed them to help Travis get his memories back.
Jillyanna nodded his head and looked around the place. "Diego told me there's a huge bulletin here with your name on it after you got an award. Let's see."
They strolled in the campus and found the huge bulletin. Indeed, his name was still hanging on the wall even after so many years. It was an award after he aced his dissertation about some business strategy.
"Too bad we didn't share the same university." Travis commented while looking at his name on the bulleting board. "We could've been a campus sweetheart."
"Hahaha. Where's your imagination going to?" Jillyanna chuckled on his side while holding his hand. "If we share the same university, we wouldn't meet often. Remember I like skipping classes."
"That I can agree."
Jillyanna turned around and found Jackie watching a group of students who were studying together. Even if she said she wasn't envious of them, Jillyanna knew that the twins and Shein lack this kind of social relationship.
Suddenly, a young girl, probably a freshman, walked towards Jackie with a shy and nervous smile.
"Are you Riley Summer?" the girl asked while clutching her phone and magazine.
Jackie shook her head to deny her question. "I am her twin sister Jackie. My sister Riley is currently at home practicing her lines."
"Ahh! Really?! Can I have a picture of you then?"

"Sorry. I don't want to be used as substitute of my sister." Jackie refused the girl's suggestion.
"Okay. I understand." The girl walked away and went back to her friends. They didn't know what they talked but they all looked disappointed.
Realizing that it might affect her sister's image, Jackie walked up to them and apologized once again.
"I'm really sorry that you can't take picture of me. However, if you really want to see her, I can arrange a meeting for you."
"Really?!" Everyone gasped in surprise and immediately took out their phones. "Can we get your number?"
Jackie was again put in a difficult position. She didn't want anyone to get her contact info and specially not the people who likes her sister. She didn't want her to think that she's taking away her fans.
Jillyanna came to her rescue with Travis beside her. "I'm sorry but my sister isn't allowed to give her contact info. However, you can check Riley's account tomorrow morning around 10 o'clock. I'll ask her to post her whereabout."
The students just nodded their head in agreement. Travis felt tired from walking so they looked for a place to take a rest.
"What if those students aren't fans? What if they'll do something nasty to Riley?" Travis asked what worried him the whole time.
"They can try it if they no longer want their life." Jillyanna smiled which never reached her eyes. They can touch anyone they want but never the people important to her.
Jackie was just listening to them while she watch the students walk to and fro in front of her. Jillyanna always warm her heart and Jackie was thankful that they met her.
That was the reason why she never refused Jillyanna's requests. For her, it was the only way she can repay the kindness that was shown to her.

Jackie's mind wander to the man she just met during lunch. When she first saw him in his office, she hated him. It wasn't really that hate she felt for an enemy but more like she hated the fact that she didn't have what he got.
No one knows, not even her sister, that she wanted to join the police force or the military since she was young. But she got the opposite of her wish. She became an enemy to the very dream she wanted.
Watching the young warden gave her a complicated emotions. She liked him because of how serious he was with his work, how he excellent he was and how observant he was. At the same time she hated him. She was jealous of him. She's annoyed and frustrated.
'Should I give it a try?' Jackie asked herself mentally. She thought about Jillyanna's suggestion earlier. She wasn't sure how Jillyanna knew about her passion when it comes to the law but it was still a good advice.
While she was lost in thought, Jillyanna and Travis were lost in their own world, too.
Jillyanna was still holding his hand, intertwining their fingers together while she leaned her head on his shoulder.
"I salute to your endurance all these years." Jillyanna commented while watching the student walk in front of them.
They didn't notice Jillyanna and Travis because of their disguises. In fact, the attention was all given to Jackie who everyone thought was Riley. It was a good distraction, too.
"What do you mean endurance?" Travis asked.
"I mean you didn't get a girlfriend all these years until we met again. Some men would give up already and find someone else."
"That is why, you have to treasure me. I am the only person who can wait for you." Travis grinned at her in which Jillyanna rolled her eyes.
"I treasured you alright. That should be out of the question already."
"You treasured me? Then, give me a kiss."
"...." Jillyanna was dumbfounded with his request once again. "How did we even end up in this conversation again?!"
Her exasperation was evident and Travis enjoyed every expression that filled her face. "Don't I have a prize for coming here?"
"Shouldn't I be the one getting the price for being patient, loving, caring and kind?" Jillyanna retorted back which made Travis smile.
"Sure."
Before she could react to what he said, Travis grab the notebook of the student who passed in front of them. At the same time, he leaned closer and kissed Jillyanna while covering their faces with the notebook he got.
"Sweet."

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

"EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings.
