Chasing After My Wife Chapter 393

Travis went home to cook for his wife. He was at fault for not letting her eat the spicy hotpot at the same time didn't regret his decision for doing so. He knew that he was only doing what was best for Jillyanna. Even if she got mad, he won't regret his decision.
Still, he wanted to coax her. He called Auntie Fei earlier to prepare the ingredients that he needed. When he arrived, all he needed to do was to wear his apron and start chopping the ingredients that needed to he chopped and sliced those that needed to be sliced.
He cooked a sweet and sour fish fillet, stir-fried vegetable, an apple pie and roasted chicken. He didn't make any fruit drinks since it would be better if she would just drink water instead.
While cooking, he also ordered a bouquet of red roses and chocolates for her. He was really putting a whole lot of effort for his wife.
On the other hand, Jillyanna lost interest in shopping when Travis left. She would sometimes stare into space and be in a daze for few minutes.
"Sis, are you okay?" Shein asked her while waving his hand in front of her face.
Jillyanna snapped back into the reality and looked at him. "I'm fine. Do you need to buy anything else?"
Shein nodded his head and brought her to a shoes store for women. "I want to give something to Jackie. Which do you think would suit her?"
Jillyanna looked around the store to find a shoes for Jackie but she couldn't make a proper choice because her focus was no longer with them. She wanted to see Travis!
"Can you ask Brown instead? I'd like to take a rest for a while." Jillyanna mumbled and walked to the couch were customers usually wait for their orders.

Shein didn't stop her nor Brown. They just looked towards each other and shrugged their shoulders.
They continued to shop until it was four in the afternoon to make sure that they didn't miss anything.
The van that Shein brought was fully packed with the gifts for children. There were christmas wrappers to wrap the materials, too.
"Don't worry about this sis. When we get home, Riley and I will wrap them up and write their name for identification." Shein voluntarily offered. He didn't want to add any more stress to her.
She didn't really care who will wrap the gifts and when they will do it. All she wanted to do is to go back to the hospital and sleep.
"Who will send me back to the hospital?" Jillyanna asked the four of them.
"Brown and I will send you back." Savannah responded. "We will pick Val and Hawk on the way which would be convenient for us."
"Okay. Let's go back now." Jillyanna clutched on to her bag got inside the car. Shein and Riley went inside the van and drove off towards her house.
Savannah was the one driving this time. She was slowly making her way back to the hospital, careful and cautious to make sure that they won't get into accident.
Brown was busy texting someone and Jillyanna thought it was Valkyrie. She didn't know that he was sending messages to Travis.
"We're on our way back." Brown told Travis over a text.
"I'm at the hospital now, preparing to make an apology." Travis replied and put down his phone before he continued to arrange their early dinner.
Jackie was helping him in arranging the flowers and the scented candles that Jillyanna liked so much.
"Will this be alright?" Jackie asked after putting the flowers inside the vase and littering some petals on the floor.

"Hn. That's great." Travis responded.
"What exactly did you do that makes you resort to this way of an apology?" Valkyrie asked him with a raised brow.
"Nothing." Travis spoke, clearly ignoring his question.
When everything was ready, Vincent, Hawk, Jackie and Valkyrie went out of the room. "Are you guys leaving now?" Top asked when he saw that they came out fo the room.
"We are waiting for Jillyanna." Valkyrie replied without knowing that a mole was listening. It's no big deal though since Riley and Savannah can take care of anyone who would want to harm Jillyanna and her baby.
Top didn't say anything and just looked towards his men.
They didn't wait for a long time before Jillyanna arrived with Brown and Savannah following behind her. She had an indescribable expression on her face and her eyes spoke the intensity of her sadness.
"Are you guys going home already?" She asked them upon seeing that they were just standing outside the door with their things.
"I am going back to the house and help Riley and Shein to pack the gifts." Jackie answered. "Vincent is coming with me."
"We have to go home as well." Valkyrie added while holding on to his luggage.
"Okay. Take care." She watched them left the hospital in groups until they were out of her sight.
With a deep and resentful sigh, she slide the door opened and saw Travis standing at their small dining table with a bouquet of red roses his hands.
His surprise really caught her off-guard and she couldn't seem to move her feet from being taken aback.
"W-why...why are..you here?" her small voice was barely audible but since the room was quiet, he was still able to hear her question.
With large strides, Travis came to her and took hold of her hand. "I am here to apologize for what happened earlier. I didn't know what I can do to earn your forgiveness so I decided to cook instead. I'm really sorry Jill." he kissed the knuckles of her hand and gave her the bouquet.
'We are both stupid and foolishly in love. How can I really get angry at you?' She mentally noted with a smile. She opened her bag and took a small silver-colored box, and handed it to him.
"I'm sorry for being willful too. And thank you for understanding me."
A small smile appeared in his lips which made Jillyanna smile too. "I guess, we are both foolish."
"I won't argue with that. In any case, I still love the foolish you." Jillyanna mumbled and stand on her toes to give him a short kiss on his lips. "Thank you."
As simple as that, they forgave each other and continued to live their life like usual, seeming indifferent to the impending danger that's lurking over them.
