Chasing After My Wife Chapter 430

All the children from all ages were called to come inside their activity hall. The social workers were also stationed to different corners in order to bring organization and to make sure that they can tend to the children's needs immediately.
"Good morning, everyone!" the host, which was also one of the social workers greeted them. "Today, we will have a special celebration and to spend an early Christmas with our benefactors."
"Why so early?" one of the kids asked in curiosity.
"They are very busy people. And our young madam, is pregnant so the doctor doesn't want her to get tired. Do you get what I'm saying?"
"Yes, big sister Jiya." the children answered simultaneously.
"However, they wanted to spend Christmas with us. So, for us to do that, we are going to celebrate and early Christmas."
"Yay! Will we get presents, too?"
"That's a surprise for later." Jiya cheerfully stated leaving everyone in suspense. "Now, let us welcome sir Travis to give us a inspirational message."
Originally, it was Jillyanna would come on stage but because of her health and her pregnancy, they changed it to Travis.
His words were simple to make sure that the children will understand him. He encouraged them and gave them blessings of support. The children were all happy hearing him and they knew that they were never abandoned in the orphanage.
Their parents might have left them or abandoned them but they were all thankful that they ended at the orphanage. A place were everyone was taken cared of and people didn't compete for food or attention. They were well-provided.
After Travis gave his message, the children performed on the stage. A group of little girls and boys danced to a remix song of jingle bells and other Christmas songs.

"Even though these children ended up here, I can see that they are still happy." Jillyanna commented while she clapped her hands happily to the beat of the song.
"It's because of you and your father." Atty. Lewis responded with a faint smile. "The children here, even without their parents, are well-provided. There are teachers who taught them different things. They learned basic education and there are scholarships available for them if they decided to go to school. Even if no one would adopt them, they didn't mind it as long as someone would welcome them home in this orphanage."
"Thank you for managing this place all this time." Jillyanna mumbled.
"It's my honor to bring happiness to these kids."
After the dance, everyone gave them a ruond of applause.
Everybody thought that they would proceed to another intermission number but what came out on stage was unexpectedly a huge Santa Claus with a huge bag.
"Eh? Santa Claus?!"
"Ahhh! It's Santa Claus!"
The children cheerfully chirped and screamed to see Hawk in a Santa Claus costume. Even Jillyanna was laughing happily beside Travis. He had never seen her this happy for a long time now.
"I guess this idea is worth of my time thinking since I can see you laughing." Travis whispered close to her making Jillyanna's eyes widened in amazement.
"This is your idea?!"
"Yup. I thought that since this is an early Christmas celebration, why not let the kids feel that it is really Christmas. Since we are giving them presents, why not let Santa give it to them. I talked to Jackie and Savannah about this and they both suggested for Hawk to do it."
"Wow! I didn't know you were doing a lot behind my back."

"Are you happy?"
"Hm. I am really happy. Thank you for putting so much effort to this place."
"This place is their home. A home should be full of life and happiness."
Jade could sense the happiness from Jillyanna and she was happy, too. She can tell from Jillyanna's voice that she was kind and virtuous.
Kids don't lie. Kids could see if someone has a bad intention or good intention. Kids could easily learn things. With their innocent and blank slate of minds, whatever you teach them, they would instantly believe you.
That is why, building the children's foundation in values should start from a very young age. You should teach them all the good things before she would know how to make her own decision. In that way, she can always balance the pros and cons of each action.
At this point, in Jade's mind, she only wanted to have a baby sister. Now she got a baby brother, it's up to Jillyanna and everyone older than her as to how they can guide her.
"I don't believe in Santa Claus." Jade commented making Jillyanna looked sullen towards her. "I didn't get my wish in the past years but I believe in you big sister."
"You believe in me?" Jillyanna questioned since she didn't know what the little girl meant. "What do you mean?"
"Santa didn't fulfill my wish but you will, right? You said that I will have a baby brother." Jade's clear eyes was staring right back at her, as if she was looking straight to Jillyanna's soul.
Jillyanna reached out her hands and touched the little girl's small cheeks. "I will give you a baby brother. Tomorrow, I will come back so wait for me, okay."
"Okay."
They were busy chatting while the other children were playing games. They were asked to bring something to Jiya and the first person to get that item to her will get a present from Hawk a.k.a Santa Claus.
After ten rounds, Santa Claus made an exit and the program continued. Jiya was a really good host. She made sure that everyone was enjoying and she made sure that they behave whenever she was talking.
"Earlier, we watched our little brothers and sisters dancing on stage. This time, let's welcome our second group who will give us a song. A round of applause please."
A boisterous clappings of hands rang inside the hall as the group of teens, both male and female, came up on stage.
"They are our mini band here." Atty. Lewis informed Jillyanna and Travis.
"There are so many talented children here." Travis responded while keeping his eyes on the stage.
"I thought I'd miss this..."
