Chasing After My Wife Chapter 440

Since Riley had to go back to work, Shein was working at the Venus Plaza and Jackie was busy with school, Sky finally found her chance to visit the child and spend time with her.
"Grandma!" Jade was running from the kitchen towards her. "How are you?"
Being called grandma by the cute little girl, Sky was grinning happily at her. "I am so happy to see our little girl. Have you been doing well?"
"Yes, grandma. I've been doing well. Do you want to eat breakfast with me? Auntie Riley left for work early this morning and I woke up late so I am eating my food with Auntie Fei and Auntie Sisi."
"I see. People here are always busy. Do you want to come with me to my house?"
"Let's ask mommy and daddy first. They will be worried if I am not here. Auntie Riley and Uncle Shein will be looking for me, too."
"That's right. Let's ask them later." she held on to the child's hand and led her back to the kitchen so that she can continue to eat.
"Good morning Madam Sky." greeted the two helpers that they have.
"Good morning Fei. Good morning Sisi." Sky greeted them back before she took a seat beside Jade. "Do you still have a plate of fried rice that you guys are eating?"
"Yes madam. Let me get you some. Do you want anything to add?"
"I'll eat whatever you are eating." Sky stated with a smile. She wasn't really some kind of picky mistress. She would eat whatever is edible in front or her. After all, she didn't really grew up from a wealthy family. They only became rich because of Jillyanna. She wouldn't dare act high and mighty.

Auntie Fei got her a plate of fried rice and a glass of water. There were bacon, hotdog, ham, sausage and other viand on the table so she can get whatever she likes to pair with her rice.
Jade was eating slowly, chewing her food properly and making sure that she wasn't leaving any mess on the table. She would always swallow her food before speaking.
"By the way grandma, I'll show you something later." Jade excitedly told her which Sky was looking forward too.
"Okay. Show me what you have after eating." With the child eating with her, it took them half an hour before they finish eating their food. Sky wasn't in a hurry though. She likes watching the little girl doing things at her own pace.
"Grandma, why don't they let me wash my plates?" Jade asked her when they were back in the living room. "My mother told me before that I should always wash my own plates when I grow big. Now, I am big but the two Aunties won't let me wash my plates."
'What a sensible child!' Sky exclaimed internally as she let the child sit on the couch. "It's because the kitchen sink is very high. You can't reach it yet. When you grow taller, taller than the kitchen sink, then you can wash your own plates."
"But I can always use the chair to climb up."
"Don't do that. It's dangerous. What if you'll fall? We will all be sad if you get hurt."
"Then, I will wait to grow taller." Jade mumbled to herself. "Ah, grandma, I forgot to get it."
"What do you want to get?"
"My drawing. It's in my room."
"Then, let's go up and see it." The two of them went upstairs to see the drawing that she wanted to show. Just like any other children, her drawing wasn't that great but it wasn't bad either. Unlike the children who drew a skeleton-stick drawing, Jade's drawing had complete body parts and you could easily identify which one was who because of their distinguishing marks that she included.

"Wow! This is a nice drawing Jade. Who taught you to draw?"
"I went to the hospital yesterday and mom taught me how to draw. Last night, when I got home, I drew everyone. Can you find yourself grandma?"
"This is grandma." Sky pointed her finger to a drawing with a mole under the left side of her lower lips.
"Wow! Grandma is very amazing! You can identify yourself from my drawing."
"That's because you drew me nicely." Sky complimented the little girl. "Let's put this in your bag so that you can show this to your mother."
Everyday, Jade would learn different things and she would show it to Jillyanna and Travis at the hospital. Since everyone was busy in Jillyanna's house, she got the permission to stay in the Madrid's villa for two weeks, which made Sky so happy.
As promised and scheduled, Walter Damien came to visit the hospital to meet them around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. As a little courtesy, he brought his most-trusted subordinate and several gifts to them. Hawk did the body check to make sure that they weren't bringing anything harmful.
Walter Damien didn't mind being checked since it was for safety purposes. He would also do the same if someone unfamiliar came to his place.
"You are finally here, Mr. Damien. Have a seat." Travis let them sit on the couch near the door to make it easy for them to leave.
Jillyanna smiled at them but her eyes was holding an unknown storm. "Sorry, I couldn't attend to you properly. My doctor told me to rest today."
"That's fine Mrs. Madrigal." Walter Damien just waved his hand as if it was nothing to him. "This is a little token of my gratitude for taking care of my daughter."
"Thank you." Travis didn't touch the things or pushed it away. He was just looking at the man directly. "You don't have to beat around the bush. Just tell us your intention."
"I want to get my child back." he stated calmly while clenching his hand around his silver cane.
"That's a little difficult Mr. Damien. My wife would kill me if I do that." Travis was faintly chuckling to him.
"I can pay you millions just to dissolve the adoption papers."
"We don't need money."
"Why won't you give her back to me? I am her real father after all."
"Because you don't deserve her..."
