Chasing After My Wife Chapter 461

Jillyanna sent them a message to see if they had gone aboard. She wanted to see them from the ground using the binocular that she bought from one of shops.
Travis told her that they just got inside the ferris wheel cart. Jade was bustling with excitement and joy when she got inside the cart.
Travis made a video call with Jillyanna to show how their daughter was doing. Jade was smiling from ear to ear.
"Mommy! I am high up in here!" Jade exclaimed as she talked to Jillyanna on the phone. "The people and the shops are getting smaller!" she added with extreme happiness.
Jillyanna was also smiling as she watched her daughter enjoying herself with her father. "I am glad you are having fun."
"I am happy because Mommy and Daddy allowed me to come here." Jade spoke to Jillyanna. She took hold of the phone and let Jillyanna look over the view with her and Travis. "Did you see that roller coaster, Mom? It looked so big on the ground but it looked so small here." Jade continued to speak as she point her index finger on the roller coaster. "Daddy, is it just me or are we getting closer to the sky?"
Hearing her question, Jillyanna and Travis chuckled at her. Even Winter and their teacher gave off a faint laughter.
"It's because we are getting higher. As we go up higher, we will be closer to the sky. However, we aren't really close enough to touch it." Travis tried to explain it to his daughter.
"When my mother was alive, we lived somewhere far from the city and I was able to touch the clouds back then." Jade narrated her past experience.
They knew that she was talking about fog but Travis didn't want to explain it to her for now. She needed concrete evidence so Travis was planning to make a trip with his family. It would be a story for later once Jillyanna gets better.
After the ride on a ferris wheel, they got of from the cart and looked for Jillyanna and the others. They rested for a while and let Jade and Travis ate some snacks.
Next ride was the pirate ship. Travis was wiping her sweat off of her forehead while waiting in line. "Thank you, Daddy." Jade whispered when Travis finished wiping her face.

"You're welcome, sweetheart. Mommy will be worried if you get all sweaty."
Under the envious gazes of everyone, the father and daughter pair boarded the pirate ship. This time, they didn't need to call Jillyanna since she found a place to see them without worrying about the sun's heat.
Excited screams and a bout of laughters escaped from Jade's lips. Even though there was a safety bar in front of her, Travis still put one arm on his daughter's waist to keep her safe.
"My cousin will become a good father. He knows how to take care of Jade so it won't be difficult to take care of his son in the future." Winter noted while watching the smiling face of her cousin.
"I'm sorry for judging your husband." Their teacher whispered to Jillyanna. "I was really prejudiced against him from the start. As I have observed him for quite sometimes now, I can see how much he loves you and everyone you cared about. He isn't a cold and ruthless capitalist as I have thought of him."
"You are right and wrong teacher. My husband isn't really a warm and kind person. I guess all of us have a bad and good side. My husband cares for us but when needed, he can be cold blooded and ruthless. As long as you don't cross his bottom line, he won't really do anything bad."
"I was wrong of my judgement. I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it. My husband won't take it to heart." What Jillyanna said was true. Since their teacher didn't really damage anything, Travis won't say anything either. He didn't care if she was being prejudiced against him. As long as she won't do anything to hurt anyone of his family, he won't care.
Travis and Jade got off from the pirate ship and took a few minutes of rest before lining up for the roller coaster. This time, Winter tagged along with them.
"Auntie Winter, when will Jemson and Kyle visit us again? I want to see my cousins, too."
"They will visit you one day. They are busy with their studies so it would be difficult to let them have a vacation." Winter responded to her.
Travis didn't get the chance to ask her about her family so he decided to probe it that day. "Did you speak to your mother?"

"Nope."
"How about your father?"
"I didn't speak to any of them." Winter answered truthfully. "I don't have plans to do so."
"Won't you need their blessing if you decides to marry Gabriel?"
"That can wait. Gab and I haven't talked about marriage. I would start reporting back to the military so we would have shorter time together."
"Why not plan your wedding? You aren't growing young anymore and so is Gabriel. What are you waiting for?"
Winter kept silent after hearing his words. In actual fact, she wan't really angry with her parents. She just wanted to give herself more time to forgive her parents from what happened in the past. They were hellbent in surpassing the Madrigals that they allowed their daughter to be taken advantage of. If not for Travis and her Uncle Thomas, she would've been forced to marry a scum for the sake of business cooperation.
She could still remember what Travis told her parents back then. "As long as I live, I won't let her get bullied. Even if you are her parents, I won't let you lay a finger on her. She isn't someone you can sacrifice for your own benefit."
That same day, she was taken back to the hacienda and started living there. She would report back to the military but whenever she got time for short vacation, she would go back home to the hacienda, the place that she knew she won't be bullied at all.
"I'll think about forgiving them." Winter mumbled before getting on her seat in a roller coaster ride. After making sure that safety bars and belts were put on, the roller coaster started a slow pace as they tried reaching the highest platform.
Just as they stopped at the top, after a few seconds, the roller coaster slid off its trail in a fast speed ride. Screams and shrieks due to adrenaline rush made everyone's blood boil. Amidst these screams, a cheerful laughter came from Jade. She was even raising her arms up high, feeling the gush of wind breezing past her face, blowing her hair and touching her skin.
"Thank you so much, Mommy, Daddy and Auntie Winter! I am so happy today." Jade yelled at the top of her lungs. Travis looked at her with a smile on his lips.
Jillyanna didn't talk to them this time. The ride, even if she wasn't taking it, would make her feel extremely nervous. Thus, Travis didn't make a call even though he got the tripod with him, he was taking video instead to show it to Jillyanna once she gets better.
When they got off this time, Winter was slightly pale and her knees went weak. Contrary to her deathly pale face, Jade was vibrant with smiles.
"Oh my gosh, Mommy, it was very exciting and nerve wracking! The speed was so fast, I thought my face was going numb from the breezing cold wind touching my face. I heard them screaming from excitement, too. The ride was so..." Jade continued to talk while Jillyanna was listening to her attentively. Winter was sitting on the side to drink some water. It had been so long since she last rode a roller coaster. She thought her soul left her body at the fast speed.
Not having enough fun yet, Jade was even the one who suggested to get inside the haunted house. Travis was carrying her on his arms to make sure that she won't be lost. Instead of getting scared, she even chatted with the 'ghost' and 'monsters'. She wasn't the least bit affected.
For the first time since they took this job, the people who worked as ghost and monsters felt so useless and incapable. They couldn't even scare a young child.
Jade exited the place with a huge smile. "That was fun."
"Our little princess is very brave. You weren't scared at all." Travis stated and walked away from the venue.
Other people who screamed at the top of their lungs earlier while getting messed with the ghosts and monsters felt embarrassed. They were so afraid that they were getting goosebumps but the child wasn't afraid at all. She was even having fun.
They followed the father and daughter pair with their gazes. They were walking towards the carousel where Jillyanna and the other were waiting for them.
"Let's take this relaxing ride next. You can take a rest while having fun riding with the horses." Travis suggested which Jade didn't refuse at all. Winter came with her to ensure her safety.
Travis sat beside Jillyanna and told her about Jade's first ever fight with a mother and son pair.
