Chasing After My Wife Chapter 515

Tristan told them everything about the Dragon Gang that owns a large market in the business world. They had shares in several hotels and restaurants, in entertainment industry, in supermarkets, in clothing lines and other types of business. And most of all, they were trading illegal firearms.
"How did you make connections with those scums?" Valkyrie asked him since Tristan looked decent and wasn't someone who would do something unscrupulous.
"I was overseas when I met one of their underlings who thought that I would be useful. He offered me a job and I accepted it since I had nothing back then. At first, they only asked me to improve their security network and create strong firewalls. They paid me a huge sum of money for that. I sent everything to my parents since they would need it more than me. My father built a small toy factory and started selling toys. I didn't even know that it was rapidly growing in the span of two years. I told my parents not to sell any shares to the Dragon Gang and I even sent them a list of names that they needed to avoid. As the years passed by, they were asking me to dig this and that. I didn't know what they were using that information for. Until I saw the news about those people I checked. Some of them died, some were sent to prison and some left the city. And the Dragon Gang took over the business and made it grow like they didn't have anything to do with it. When I wanted to leave, they took my sister and kept her. My parents and I were afraid to let anyone know so, we just told the people who asked about her whereabouts that she was studying abroad."

Shein pitied him so much. They might not be experiencing the same thing but they both suffered. Jillyanna raised her hand with a faint smile on her face. "We will think about this issue later but, are you really married? You didn't lie to me last time just to make me agree about this visit, right?"
"Huh? Ah! I am not married."
"I knew it! You lied to me!"
"Well, I don't have the chance to marry her. My fiancée's gone."
The atmosphere turned gloomier and no one spoke for a whole minute. Brown came from the back door, fresh from the shower with a new set of clothes. "What's happening here? Oh! We have a guest?"
Tristan looked at him and smiled faintly. "I'm Tristan. Nice to meet you."
"I'm Brown."
"I'm sorry for asking you insensitive questions." Jillyanna apologized. "I didn't know."
"It's fine but, you actually met her earlier."
"We did?" Travis was the one who asked this question. "Is it the robot?"
"Yes. I built her in memory of my fiancée. When she was alive she would always listen to Jillyanna's song and she always dreamed of meeting her. When I found the identity behind the singer, I promised to let her meet you someday. Sadly, she passed away before I can fulfill my promise. Anyway, let's not talk about it. It's depressing."
Brown didn't really know what they were talking about so, he left them and helped Savannah and Hawk in the kitchen. Valkyrie cleared his throat and stared at the man. "You said you wanted to help us and at the same time get us to help you, right? Do you have any plan in mind? Base on your description, this gang is a large group that is widely spread in our city."

"I have all their information including the leaders. What we need is a high number of manpower because we need to act at the same time before they could give information to their higher ups."
"I need to talk to Calhoun about this." Valkyrie responded.
"I have another question." Travis stated. "Since you weren't able to find anything on us, what will they use against us?"
"They will use brute force! I found them discussing about erasing all of you here including the people in your hacienda and the Madrid's villa. If I may say, this is the biggest and most brutal business acquisition. I wanted to tell the law forces about this but, they also have someone in the police department. I can trust anyone but, you, the target of this matter."
Jillyanna took a deep breath and sigh. "Seriously?! They are planning all these when Travis finally decided to bring me out in two days?! Are they really tired of living?!"
Tristan could only sympathize for having her long-awaited vacation postponed. They needed to make preparation before it's too late. There were so many lives at stake in this acquisition game. "I'm really sorry for telling you this now."
"No, there's no need for you to apologize. You just did the best thing." Travis told him and stood up. "I suggest it would be best if you and Shein works together to gather more information here."
"I can't stay here. It will be bad if they knew that I keep in touch with you. I'll stay in my own place and share the information to Shein."
"Alright. Let's start making preparation after dinner." Valkyrie mentioned and stood up as well. They just finished their discussion, when the four military officers inside received a message from Calhoun about their next mission.
It was purely a coincidence that the given mission was the same topic that Tristan mentioned earlier. Nonetheless, they were happy for having information and several leads on this matter. They don't need to closely monitor the targets as well.
"I think we will have a good cooperation on this." Valkyrie told Tristan. He didn't tell them about the specifics but he told him that the military will be cooperating with him.
Tristan sighed a breath of relief when he finally got an affirmative answer. He was happy that he'd be able to save his sister. He can't let her suffer the same fate as his fiancée. He needed to save her while also saving Jillyanna's family.

DarkBoi69's mediocre, rushed and badly-written aventure
Follow DarkBoi69's edgy adventure as I move him through a shitty plot where he meets terribly-written characters like angry evil stupid villains and naive cute useless busty women. This story is not really an actual serious story but simply a writing exercise for me to focus on overall writing speed, forcefully insert some writing in my everyday life to increase productivity and most importantly help with turning ideas, thoughts or feelings into writing directly without feeling blocked, hopefully trying to achieve something as close as possible to writing unconsciously what i’m thinking about. I'll probably try to do something like writing as much in 30 mins as I can, nearly every-day. So far I've only done this once and it already seems like a pretty good thing to do. I don’t have anything planned and that’s probably going to be a constant for every one of these exercises, so it’ll end up being not very good (although maybe better than it has any right to be? ) and nonsensical.

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter. This story isn't a full length novel--its a novella length work (25K words), and is part of my Yancy Lazarus series. Its already free on Amazon, so I thought I'd post chapters here for the good folks of Royal Road.
