"Ahem!" She pretended to cough and beat her chest with her hand to distract Jade from the truth.

Quickly her friend got up and moved to her fridge to get a bottle of water and a cup then she uncorked it and poured her a drink.

"Thanks." Taking the drink from her friend, she gulped it all in one go. "Ahh… thanks so much."

"Yeah, welcome." Jade made her way to her seat and watched her friend keenly.

'Damn it, I almost spilled the beans on Xander and Jay. Phew! But the way she is looking at me is obvious she is not buying my choking. Giving who Jade is, she would still ask about it. Sigh, what do I do?' Macy thought to herself.

"Okay, you were saying something just now before you almost choked."

'Yeah it was nothing," Macy tried to kill the topic but Jade wasn't haven't it.

"Umm I doubt it is. It is either it is something you are trying to hide from me and you faked your joking or not, either way you would spill everything out, Macy."

"Hehhee… Macy laughed a bit while smiling at her friend. She was just caught red handed. "Well, honestly it was nothing serious."

"We haven't been in touch for some days now but the last time we spoke, things were moving forward well enough."

"Sure thing. Do not mind me. I would be up and doing starting today. My apologies for my incompetence," Macy apologized to Jade as she lowered her head in respect to her.

"It is okay. I am happy for the fun you had. It is time. We would be having a joint meeting with most of our stakeholders today at 10 am. Let us move to the briefing room. I need to show you some of the slides to be presented today and fill you in on some things you have missed."

Meanwhile a they were busing preparing for their meeting, Jay was being interrogated by his friends on the new improvement in his activities and how much happier he had been since he started with Macy officially.

"Man, you sure have found yourself an attachment,' Sky said with a soft laughter. 'I am happy for you."

"More like I am the one too attached too let her go. I miss her so much already," Jay confessed to the duo standing in front of him.

Both of them turned to look at each other before returning their gaze to look at their love struck friend.

'With the way it is going, I am sure it would not take long before she finds out who you really her. Ease up on her a little bit, Jay. You cannot risk your identity to a human.

"I know. It does not change the fact that a human is not supposed to be aware of us," Xander once more cautioned with his words.

"I know."

"Good, so limit it."

"But I love her dearly and what if she is the one?" Jay asked his friends. No longer was he smiling at them and all. This time he was more serious than before.

His facial expression changed like that of a hardened criminal. He was moving somewhere with this discussion and judging from the aura that he exuded, his friends knew that the discussion had turned serious among the dragon rulers.

"What are you trying to say, Jay? You know no human has ever become the mate of a dragon."

"But what if?" Jay asked.

"That possibility cannot happen," Xander said sharply.

"Says who it cannot happen?" Jay challenged back.

"Because it can happen. Can," Sky cut in sharply.

"What! Do not tell me you are on his side in this?" Xander could not believe that Sky of all people would side Jay on such a matter.
