CHAPTER 182

BANG!

WHOOSH! THUD!

What had followed after the door was knocked down was the dead body of one of the guards.

As if on cue, all heads turned in the direction of the sound and the person they saw at the doorway made their hearts almost jump into their mouth.

"Xander." Zale muttered to himself. But he never showed any sign of fear unlike his guards who looked like they would pee on their pants any second from then.

Not saying a single word, Xander matched forward towards the crowd that gathered at the center.

His eyes still shone their dark reddish colour bit now he had transformed back into his human form. Since he wasn't sure just how things would play out with Jade being there, he quickly reverted ignoring his eyes.

His eyes scanned everyone. It was like they were ants in his eyes that did not matter and finally came to a stop when his gaze zeroed in on her.

*CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!*

Everyone was shocked to see that rather than Zale being petrified he was clapping at the wonderful entrance of Xander.

Up till that moment Jade did not have much strength to bother with whom had entered the warehouse in such a manner.

But when she felt something tug at her heart, like a certain pull of longing, need and want, Jade finally raised her head to see who it was. Her heart had already confirmed that he was there but even she could not explain just what was happening to her and how she knew this.

The second she spotted him not too far from her, their eyes locked. She could see the rage etched deep within those once lovely blue eyes now turned red.

She did not understand the reason for this change but regardless, what was she to do? That was not the main problem now. What mattered most to her was that he was there. He finally came. A small smile appeared on her lips as she stared lovingly at him.

Seeing that pained smile amidst the hurt, Xander felt like his heart was being torn on shreds that moment. Never had he imagined or expected that he would ever see Jade in such a way.

Reluctantly, Xander pried his gaze a away from her and his gaze landed on the soul that had brought her this torture. The one person he wanted to feel his wrath more than anything.

He wasn't planning on showing any mercy to that person. He did not care our Jade saw him after wards but today, he was sure going to rend the heavens on her behalf.

"Zale Anders!" Xander growled at him then turned his body in the direction of the ingrate.

"Ah, you finally noticed my presence. I was beginning to wonder whether I was so inconspicuous that the mighty Xander would fail to recall a business associate."

"How dare you hurt her?" Xander asked in annoyance, causing the thunder in the sky to roar with him.

Even Asia and Arctic who did not know what was happening were shocked beyond words. When did Jade get to know such a powerful figure?

That was the thought running through Asia's mind but Arctic on the other hand had his eyes dimmed as he tried very well to remember just who this was and also try and tfrack something.

Soon enough he recalled Xander as the one who was always around Jade. The very person he had warned her about. Right at this moment he couldn't complain about his presence as his being here meant they could escape.

Even if he wasn't rescued or anything, of which was very unlikely considering most of the guards had died, he was glad that Jade would be taken from here and freed from the torture that was brought on her.

"Relax, calm down. You should not be the one who is angry but i."

"What?" The anger that was calming down a bit suddenly went back up a 100%. Everyone present could feel the heat of the moment right there and then.

Zale had just stupidly said what he was not supposed to say, hadn't he?

"Yes."

"I should strike you where you stand," Xander threatened and took a threatening stance as well, ready to make the move and deal Zale a heavy blow when Zale spoke.

"Ah aha ha… Tsk, tsk, tsk." He waved his index finger at Xander like a mother warning a naughty child not to try nonsense.

That singular act only worsened it and if Xander was planning on knocking his head once, now he was definitely going to kill him.

He watched as Xander's eyes turned a darker red and the pupils dilated further but before the dragon could do anything, Zale pointed upwards, then twirled his fingers, signifying that danger lurked.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Zale warned him. "You see, you are surrounded."

Xander ignored him and took the first step forwar, then another. Zale knew he was testing him to see if he would really dare to attack him.

Unknown to him. Zale was prepared. He signaled for his men and one of them released a shot at Xander which met him on his left arm.

*SSIIIZZZZ*

Like a burning flame on fresh skin, Xander's skin sizzled. Quickly he looked yp at the idiot who had fired the bullet then his gaze went to Zale who was grinning from ear to ear.

"I forgot to mention, even you know how dangerous a silver bullet is."

Xander's eyes widened a bit. He had not expected that Zale would be so cunny to that extent or for him to even know about the silver bullet.

His facial expression change about his stance remained and he did not say anything. "Didn't you think that if I was kidnapping the girlfriend of Xander Warner, I would be much careful and take precautions?"

"What do you know?" Xander asked and winced.

"So much. So much that you would be shocked out of your wits. For instance, it thrills me to know that you haven't noticed anything different about your girlfriend."
