As expected, they did all the needed findings and Xander got all his evidence against Zale. All that remained was for Jade to show up.

Days passed, but nothing came to play at all. There was no sign of her, or her whereabouts showing on the whiteboard.

Xander had begun to wonder if something bad had happened to her. Unknown to them, Jade tried her best to do some research on her own but all the clues she was finding weren't all too clear and it still was pointing towards Zale and Xander.

Her frustration was kicking in quickly and the more she stayed apart from him, the more terrible it was for her.

She was always restless, wherever she found herself. It was as though nothing she did was ever enough to calm her down. The more she got angry with Xander, the more her frustration kicked in. She really needed or wanted to see him.

Even she wasn't so sure of what she was feeling just that she was feeling different and weird. With no other choice, Jade decided to pay Xander a visit and ask him what he did to her to make her like that.

To her, that was her agenda and probably get her revenge but by the time she arrived at the mansion, the whole thing became something else.

The secret door to the inner room shit close behind Xander and he walked away from his walk-in closet. The moment he stepped out of it, his eyes shut close with his head tilting to the side a bit as though he was sensing something.

His nostrils flared almost instantly and then sniffed the air. She was there. He could tell from the smell of her arousal that his beloved was around.

A brief smile adorned his cute face but as soon as it came, it went away and Xander quickly ducked, moving to the side a little before standing straight and clasping both hands above his head, locking her hand in place.

Jade tried to pull back but his grip on her hands was stronger.

"Hmm," She pulled back again, this time with more force and precision but he wouldn't budge. Seeing as he was stubborn, she managed to move her body to the side then threw a backward kick at his head but he dodges that too.

It was as if all her attack were read beforehand by him and he could predict them.

"Arrgh!" Putting down her leg, she pulled back her hand again while throwing the free hand at his face.

Suspecting her actions, Xander smirked at her mischievously and just when her fist was about to land on his face, he tilted his head back and then released her hand, causing her to lose balance and fall backwards.

"Aaahhh!" Once again, Xander was fast. Quickly he took a large stride forward and held her by the waist, supporting her head with his other hand.

The position they found themselves in made them look like two perfect dancing couples.

For a moment there, Jade forgot to breathe and just stared into his eyes with wide filled ones. Never had she expected that he would do such a thing to her.

If not that he was fast, perhaps she would have fallen down using her head but if she got back herself on time, she could do a back turn and save herself.

Currently, it did not seem like that was a possible and probable solution.

BADUM! BADUM! BADUM!

"MINE! MINE! MINE!"

"MATE! MATE! MATE"

Before both of them knew what was happening, Jade's heart started to thud loudly in her chest, almost blocking her eardrums. She could hear it loudly and fill her blood start to rush all of a sudden in her veins.

She could not explain what was wrong but fr the fact that she felt calm and disturbed all at once.

Although the same restless that she usually had come upon her, she did not bother with that as just being in his arms seem to bring a lot of calm to her being.

Instead of the disturbance to arise in a negative way, she began to feel funny and the butterflies in her tummy, decided to move at this point, making her whole body feel different.

In as much as he looked calm, Xander really wasn't doing so good as well. Instantly, his dragon began to chant mine and mate in his mind.

It was not easy as he was holding the woman of his dreams in his mind even though he knew she wanted to kill him and his dragon chanting in his mind.

His own blood began to boil and his dragon's restlessness suddenly calmed a bit but he was still not calming down. He was joyful within him to be able to smell her scent again.

Speaking of scent, Xander drew his head closer to hers and took in a deep breath, inhaling her scent and…

The smell of her arousal! His eyes blinked twice before fixing his gaze deep into her eyes, transfixing her on the spot with his gaze.

Jade who did not understand what was happening and how her body would react like this just by being so close to him, found herself being stupefied by everything happening.

Unfortunately for both of them, Xander could not hold it anymore. He felt so drawn on by her scent and their closeness. Till this point, they had yet to consummate the mate bond and it was growing more and more difficult by the day.

Who knew, he may never have this kind of opportunity again if he let this pass and do not do anything.

Slowly, he brought his hand down from the back of her head all the way to her back and then took it to her front, bringing it back up again, taking things slow, an inch at a time, waiting and praying for her not to stop him.
