Unlucky?Player Chapter 15

After last night's session, Luke just wanted to stay in bed but he couldn't let his day go to waste like this, so he got ready, ate some food, and logged in one again.
Other than the usual welcome notifications, Night had a few other notifications from the last time he played.
[Skill Weapon Aura understanding increased to 50%.Skill will be automatically learned once understanding reaches 100%]

He was almost there, he could see his energy slices now having a defined red line just like Blade's aura.
Players were now catching up to him in level, should he level up some more or try and understand weapon aura more, he couldn't decide and was thinking some more until Blade's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Night, you're back, so, how far have you understood weapon aura?"
"About 70% senior" he replied.
"That...that's equal to me.... at this rate I'll have to call you senior"Blade chuckled nervously.
"Nonsense, senior's level is already way past 150 and will only continue to increase, besides there is so much left for me to learn, I have not yet cut through the dummy or even the stone slab."
"Well, you can strike cutting through the dummies off, at the level you are at right now, you can easily cut through the dummies, go on try it"Blade pointed at the dummies.
After standing in front of the dummy, Night channel his energy into his sword and struck the dummy.

The dummy stayed in its place and slowly a cut appeared, splitting it from the abdomen perfectly.

"Hmm who's, GrandMaster Noel?"Night asked Blade.
"OHO, that is our master, one of the greatest GrandMasters to ever exist, possibly the strongest GrandMaster in this era."Blade replied with his chest all puffed up.
Night's eyes now twinkled, a legend, very few of them existed in this era of Genesis but he read about them on the official site of Genesis, as a matter of fact, Genesis had a very detailed and interesting lore that had a lot to do with the current flow of the game but he wasn't too sure about how much of it he could remember so he decided to push that thought aside and check out the lore later.
Night wondered when their master would return, it's only been a few days since he arrived but before could finish that thought he heard a loud sound outside, immediately Blade and Night looked at each other before slowly stepping out.
"Goddamnnit that hurt, urgh WHAT IS A SINGLE PILLAR JUST DOING RIGHT INFRONT OF THE DOJO"
"Huh?Master?" Blade said as he now lowered his guard.
"THAT'S OUR MASTER?" Night screamed.
"HAHAH YOU THOUGHT IT WAS ME, YOUR MASTER BUT ITS ME DI- owwwwww, what's with this pillar Blade" their master questioned.
'Wait was that an anime reference?' Nights eyes now twinkling again.
'*Sigh* damned developers adding random easter eggs however they want' he whispered under his breath.
"MASTER LET ME HELP YOU UP, I SHALL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING!!"
Night never saw Blade so stiff before, just how great was their master? he thought.
Blade helped the man up and as he stood up, Night could look at him properly, he was dressed in all black with the exception of a white scarf that seemed to be made of some unknown material. He was as tall as Night and had a katana hanging around his waist with hair that was tied into a man-bun.

Light-skinned with a kind face, all his facial features looked gentle except his eyes, they looked like two black holes replaced them, they were pitch black with a very clear white line encircling them, they looked like they sucked in everything around him including others' gazes.
"Master that is Night, the one who just cleared your first trial and managed to do so in only a few days"Blade introduced Night.
"I greet my Master" Night said while respectfully bowing.
"Yeah yeah, whatever but tell me this how many fingers am I holding behind my back" Noel questioned as he put his hand behind his back and held up 2 fingers.
Blade was confused, why was master asking such questions and how would Night know? unless, unless, 'AURA MANIPULATION' his eyes widened as he realized but how, no matter how much he tried his mind space would always crumble halfway through." Monster..." he whispered.
Night immediately closed his eyes, at first he was confused as to how Noel knew but he didn't think about it too much and started spreading his aura slowly until lines formed then a grid and slowly the objects around him, it was faster this time, he was getting better at controlling his aura, Blade had a yellow hue forming in him and just when he looked at how many fingers Noel was holding behind his back, he was shocked, Noel had no aura forming in him.
"Well, boy?"Noel questioned.
"...3 master." Night replied.
"2,1,2,4,5,3,3,2" Night answered as Noel constantly changed his fingers.
"HAHAHA what a monster, damn that's creepy," Noel said as he now hid behind Blade.
"Master, I have something to ask, why don't you have an aura forming inside you?"
"OH? you're even able to see other's innate aura? hah interesting, well that's only because I hid my own aura," he said as he moved away from Blade, he closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.
"Try now," Noel said while smiling.
Night closed his eyes focusing on building his mind space, it was faster again perhaps it's because he's mentally built this place before, after forming everything Night took a look at Noel's innate aura.
It was the same as before, it was empty, no he could see energy converting into Noel's body but it was empty? 'no no there's no way', Night thought as he focused more, he saw energy going into Noel's body and slowly forming a white circle but what was it encircling, nothing? no, he saw something but for some reason he felt like it was looking back at him, it felt like he was looking into the abyss, it felt empty, it felt like a
....like a Void.

Sick - An Irondad Story
"I looked over at my usually gallant father, who had dried tears streaking his face. I felt awful, not because I was in pain, but because I made my father heartbroken. I never wanted him to feel this pain." Or, Peter's battle with a terminal illness that will destroy so much more than himself. This was a school project, so I had to cut some real MCU things out, but other then that the names stay the same. 06/20/2022 AN: Hey guys. This story is five years old at this point. That's pretty crazy. While I have moved on to other fandoms in that time, it's great to see people interacting with this. I'm not sure how well it holds up, especially with Creep by Radiohead being in it (idk what I was thinking lmfaoo), but I'm glad to see that some people still enjoy it. Have a good one. :)
