The day passed peacefully after the brunch prepared by Ru.He had happily served his parents with scrambled eggs ,toast, porridge and juice. He was feeling proud of his surprise and basked in the praise of his parents.
Ryu was feeling a peace he had not even dared hope for.Alicia was right. She was already Ru's mother in his heart and Ru was her son in her heart.
At the end of the peaceful day,Ru was able to get Alicia to promise to stay the night. After listening to his father's dragon story,he got into Alicia's arms and laying his head on his mother's shoulder fell asleep comfortably.
A while later,Ryu opened the door to find them both asleep on the little bed.Ryu carefully extracted his son and put him on the bed. When Alicia still did not wake up after moving Ru,he lifted her up in his arms and moved towards the guest room.
Being carried roused her from her sleep but being held in his arms gave her a feeling of protection and she adjusted herself by winding her arms around him and burying her nose in his neck.He smelled fresh like her favorite fruit and his warmth seeped into her always cold skin.
He put the squirming woman on the bed and was about to go when he felt her soft hands on his wrist. She tugged at his wrist and made him sit with her.Her sleepy shiny eyes pulled his heart strings and he felt the urge to always make this woman happy..
When she saw him sit,she put her head on his lap and inter locked her hands with his,"Ryu,for a cold businessman you are a worrywart.I can see the worries in your eyes when you think nobody is observing. You need to calm your heart,we will not let anyone take our son from us."
Her soft words were enough for him and all he could do was lay back on the bed and hold her in his embrace. They fell asleep holding each other while their hearts beat together through the night.

Galactic Economics
Humanity enters the galaxy and makes First Contact, only to begin to realize that not everything is at it seems. It appears that the galactic alien community has forgotten to invent some rather important economic concepts that human civilization has taken for granted. This is a look at a hypothetical galactic scale barter economy, how that would work, or how as one of our main characters Sarah realizes... it doesn't. And as the galaxy falls apart at the seams, it's up to the best and brightest in humanity to put things back together. Story contains a lot about markets, logistics, development, and the best and worst of human history. Not so much Space Marines nuking aliens. If you enjoyed the trade negotiations and Senate politics in the Star Wars prequels, and wished that there was an entire standalone story consisting solely of those parts, this might be for you! Galactic Economics is also posted on reddit here.
