As Assistant Kim continued to speak,Qi Cheng and his father's minds had blanked out.Master Qi had expected to be threatened by the assistant to not create a fuss but instead he was being thanked and his son was praised.Though Qi Cheng had heard his father's words earlier,he had not truly registered them.It was only when Assistant Kim introduced himself did the name click.

The person,Alicia had thrown herself at was none other than Ryu Long,the unparalleled financial wizard who had single handedly saved an entire country's economy.His idol!!Qi Cheng felt like slapping himself!He had been so worried about Alicia that he had not even tried to see the man's face..

After a while the other part of the man's statement registered...Madam Long!The decorated bride of Ryu Long was Alicia?Hur Hur...And he had been thinking of wooing her.

Master Qi was even more confused by Assistant Kim's statement.He looked at Assistant Kim and asked hesitatingly,"Are you saying that my son's friend that was abducted..I mean taken bu Mr Long was actually Mrs Long?"

Assistant Kim:"Yes sir."

Master Qi:"Then his wife is my son's friend and they study together?"A nod of the head was the answere that Master Qi recieved.Qi did not know whether to laugh or cry.The first time his son got involved in a scandal and it had to be the most powerful man.Now they needed to ascertain whether the man's wife was alright from the effects of the drug!From what he had heard,the drug had been very potent and made people lose control of their senses and body.If Madam Long had suffered any side effects,then saveor no save they were doomed..

Qi Cheng had not thought about the possible effects of the scenario.He had only been worried about the girls.The police had gone in to interview Onita and he had no idea how both the girls were doing.

He was about to open his mouth to question Assistant Kim when the Police detective came to them.Shaking their hands introducing themselves the man stated,"Though the girl's drinks were spiked the girls did not have the drugs in their system.Ms Onita had told us that they had been warned about the drinks so they only pretended to drink them to catch hold of the person who wanted to harm them.We have sent the drinks to the forensic department for an analysis.We ask you all to co operate in further investigation.Ms Janet the main culprit claims to be a relative of yours Mr Qi and says that she is being framed by her cousin and that she never bought any drugs..We are as of now arresting her for drug possession and harmful intent.But we ask Mr Qi Cheng to come to the police station at the earliest to give his statement.."

Qi Cheng was even more angered at Janet and wanted to curse her aloud but before he could do that,the detective's phone rang.The man excused himself and went a little far to answer the call.Assistant Kim then turned to The Qi's and said,"As you heard the detective,Madam Long and her friend are both out of harm's way.Indeed Mr Long had seen Ms Janet spiking the drink and tried to warn Madam but he was not sure if she had recieved the warning which is why he had to set up his charade.We would like to apologize to you for the stress you must have suffered."

Just then the detective returned and said,"We have some good news.The maid Ms Janet had used to buy the drugs had gone to the police this afternoon and left a note confessing everything.Ms Janet was already on the radar of the Narcotics department and they will soon be taking her for investigation.I think Young Mr Qi's name will not be involved."

Earlier that afternoon:

The maid had been sweating profusely as she made her way back to Ms Janet's home.She could feel her conscience pinch as she held the drugs safely in her hands.She wanted to go to the police and tell everything but she had a small baby at home and she dare not risk it's safety.The ways of the rich were unpredictable.What if they made her into a scapegoat..Just then an idea struck her.Going into the super market nearby,she bought some clothes and a cap.She then changed into those and taking out the offending packets,packed one in a separate envelope and writing down the details sent it via urgent delivery to the polics station.She then changed into her normal clothes,Took the other packet and handed it to Ms Janet.Once her job was done,she rushed home and packing her and her child's bags,took the first train out of the city.

The Present:

The people present heard the entire story and the detective dragged away the crying and angry Janet away in the police car.Assistant Kim also left to prepare a report about the maid and sent it to his Boss.The only people remaining were Mr.Qi,Onita and Qi Cheng.Just then Mr Qi's phone rang breaking the sudden silence.He saw it was his sister,Janet's mother's call.Shaking his head,he apologized to Onita and ordering Qi Cheng to send her home,went to his car to talk some sense into his over indulgent sister.If she had taken a stick to Janet earlier on then this situation would not have arised.

Onita and Qi Cheng looked at each other and said nothing.Each was lost in self blame.
