After the soup had been prepared,Pierre asked them to follow him to another room.On the way he explained that by the end of the classes they would be able to prepare a tableful of dishes for each other.Mi Rae wanted to tease him but his expression looked thunderous.Even Pierre was having trouble looking at them.Taking a deep breath,Mi Rae held Neil's hand and laced her fingers with his.Neil looked at their entwined hands in shock and then at Mi Rae.Before he could question her,she explained,"You are scaring our master. With the amount of chilli peppers you've had and now the way you are glaring at him,he muat fear that you are lusting after him..."
Neil's eyes widened at that and he immediately composed his featured when he realized that she was teasing him.He turned his glare on her and she grinned at him.She was enjoying teasing him.Her luck had finally turned and she was able to tease him unlike from the past where he always has the upper hand But she seemed to have forgotten that Neil was a master at this.Tightening their entwined fingers he whispered back.."Was he feeling scared or were you feeling jealous?Do you want me to turn my lusty gaze to you?"
Immediately Mi Rae tried to pull back her tightly clasped hand but in vain.Just why did she think she could tease him she had no idea.
They reached a large room with a restaurant style setting. The room had dim lighting and was elegantly decorated.Mi Rae could see another two couples sitting in the different areas of the room.Pierre handed them to the hostess and excused himself. The hostess then guided them towards a table with a beautiful view of the sky above and the lighted musical fountain below.Mi Rae forgot all about their hands which finally Neil let go of when he had guided her into the chair.Sitting opposite her,he observed her face as she excitedly looked around.

Shaking his head at her child like excitement,Neil remarked,"Mi Rae.How did you survive in that stuffy company?"
Turning to him,Mi Rae just smiled and said,"Cynically of course. With my morals locking away tightly in a cupboard!"
"Why?",Neil wanted to know.
"Why?Because that was the only company that gave me a chance to grow.A new comer like me was given challenging cases to handle. Now you must be wondering why then am I blaming them of chauvnism. The management and policies of the company changed during the last 3 years. And that is because the main founder of the company passed away.Once he was gone, the policies and employees all underwent change. Many female employees left after that but I was loyal and chose to stay with the company.Sigh! It would have been better if I had resigned then.."
There was an awkward silence after that while Neil stared at Mi Rae through the flickering flames of the candle light.Mi Rae suddenly felt shy at his staring and looked away trying to avoid his gaze and break the atmosphere. But she could think of nothing and he said nothing.
Trying to think of something she suddenly remembered the incident from a few hours ago and grinned. She remembered Attorney Lee's face when he had realized Neil's identity.Turning back her eyes to him she observed his face which though was still a mystery but was relaxed and maybe warmer. The man's cold eyes had scared the with out if Attorney Lee as he had stood there with his mouth gaping open. Most people in the office had also been shocked his identity.
Seeing Mi Rae now grin at him, a bit loonily,Neil raised an eyebrow and asked,"Am I looking funny or anyhting?"

Mi Rae shook her head and said,"No I am just thinking that you have impeccable timing!I mean, you try to feed me and come across as a romantic feeding his lover. You come to my office and suddenly like a soap opera all mouths fall open!I mean Neil,I do not think I have had this much entertainment and drama in my life until you just came into my life! And it has not even been a few days!I don't know if I should look forward enthusiastically or worry about my future now that you are my lawyer!"
Neil just grinned and said,"Who said I am your lawyer?Let me tell you Miss Zheng, you have to sign a contract with me before you officially hire me and since you have not yet done that I am not your lawyer!"
Just then the waiter placed the entrees and the soup on the table and quietly slipped away.Mi Rae protested at Neil and said,"How can you say that?Fine,I will write the contract and you can sign it now!"
But Neil stopped her,"Mi Rae!I am not going to sign a contract with you tonight! And the reason is very simple,"I do not like to mix business with pleasure. So if I sign the contract I will not be able to kiss you!And your lips have been tempting me from the beginning so I have to taste them!We can talk contracts tomorrow."
This statement made Mi Rae shut up and turn into a nervous wreck. After that she thought of many topics to talk about but all she could hear was the echo of Neil's statement.Neil finished his dinner peacefully as he admired the beautiful blushing woman in front of him.
As he drove her home,Mi Rae, who had worked herself into a frenzy whether to invite him for a cup of coffee or a night cap and hope that he not misunderstand, was confused and frowning. They were about to reach her home but she did not know..Before they could take the turn for her house though,Neil suddenly stopped the car on the side of the road.
Mi Rae looked at him wide eyed and before she could ask anything,Neil leaned in and brought his lips close to hers.Staring into her eyes he said,"Mi rae,Stop thinking. And focus on the next thing."
With that,Neil did just what he had claimed he would do and kissed her deeply...

Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
