The Helicopter took all of them to the hospital.Though Mi Rae's bleeding had finally slowed,it showed no signs of stopping.Soon she started to feel faint and had lost consciousness.Once the helicopter landed on the roof of the hosital,the medical personnel rushed in.Ru hated the smell of hospitals and wanted to go home but his father forced him into a check up,in case the drug the kidnappers had used,should have a side effect.

A little while later:

Ru was given the all clear to go home.Other than being a little dizzy and a little dehydrated,he was doing well.Mi Rae had been taken in for a small surgery since the nick that she had received had been directly on an artery .After getting a few stitches,she was to stay in the hospital overnight for observation as she had suffered a lot of blood loss and the been drugged. Ryu took his son home after making arrangements for Mi Rae's room and Neil's stay.Soon a sleeping Mi Re was shifted to the VIP room on the top floor.

Seeing her pale face,Neil felt guilt assault him.She had suffered because of her association to him.. He looked at her thoughtfully for sometime while she continued to sleep.She was obsessed with him and he was obsessed with protecting her from hurt.

The dumbest ideas tend to strike in the middle of the night. And similarly Neil also had one.

What if he gave her what she wanted? He would behave the same way like he had with Ning Ning in the past and like her maybe Mi Rae would also eventually tire of him.. Of course with this idea, the national husband material was going to turn into a national jerk. His screwed thinking was also a result of his past where Ning Ning blamed her falling out of love from him on him for not making time for her.At that time Neil and Ryu had been trying to maintain their foothold in the company in the face of severe opposition.So obviously he had been neck deep in work.

Neil laid down on the visitor bed and stared up the ceiling. The merger with the Hu's was going to be time consuming as well and he would be unable to see her often. So,he decided that tomorrow he was going to accept her feelings and tell her that he was willing to try.Mi Rae had known him for a few years now but seemed to have fallen in love with him recently.Neil blamed her feelings on proximity thus justifying that she would lose interest eventually once there was some distance between them.

If Mi Rae had been able to hear Neil's thoughts, she would have picked her heaviest law book and threw it on Neil's hard head for thinking so little of her...and for being a prick!

Worse than a jerk was a righteous jerk who thought that he was doing something for the other person's betterment.Neil seemed to have completely disregarded the fact that accepting her feelings and then showing indifference was bound to hurt her even more.

Satisfied with his new plan to get her to give up on him, Neil turned his head to look at Mi Rae.She looked so pretty when she was asleep.. It was a good thing that Elder Hu would not be alive by the time she was discharged tomorrow or he would have to dirty his hands..

Suddenly another thought struck him which should have made him happy but actually angered him.What would happen if she fell out of love with him?Would they still be friends or would she hate him?Or would she fall for some one else?

His fist had tightened by now and he almost punched something when he thought of her in someone else's arm.But then he controlled his thoughts and tried to sleep.There was no use thinking of the future.He had to handle the present first.Tomorrow,he would go and get her a present..a different one to show her that he would accept her feelings..

At ease now,Neil fell asleep and dreamt of a happy future..His sub conscious mind seem to have only absorbed the fact that Neil would accept Mi Rae's feelings tomorrow and not the fact that it was only an act.So the mind created many visions of them as a happy family.In his dreams,Neil and i Rae were together and there was also a little cupcake calling him Daddy and playing with him.A smiling Mi Rae with a soft face laughing at something he had done..

Time was indeed a funny thing.Neil would remember this day in the future when he planned to break her heart but had his heart mended instead.
