This made Lopt feel that maybe Arvin had started liking the blood and gore.

Before Lopt was worrying that maybe Arvin will not become a ruthless warrior in the future. But now he was started to worry that maybe Arvin will become a battle-crazy man like his half-brother…

A golden wolf howled shaking the surrounding area. This black wolf was an Alpha of a pack of wolves that Arvin was hunting right now. And this wolf is enraged as all of his pack had died at the hands of Arvin. That golden wolf was a Rank-A creature of the first floor.

Unlike before Arvin strategized about his attack on a pack of wolves in the inner parts of Kalgan forest. This wolf pack was very big in number. And its leader was a golden wolf and from Arvin had read from the books of Alman, this golden wolf was the second strongest being on the 1st floor. So Arvin was very excited to fight the wolf. He took care of his pack one by one and as stealthily as he can. And now only one wolf is left alive. That is the Alpha himself…

The Golden wolf roared in the darkness. He had not spotted his enemy till now. And he had no idea how many enemies were out there. But he had his pride as the one the strongest being to live up to. So he howled blatantly in the dark, challenging his assailant.

Seeing that there was no one left, Arvin came out of his hiding place. Arvin was covered in dark black mud from the forest. While he was also using the gobi grass to cover up his smell. That is why wolves had a very hard time finding him. It was all thanks to the books that he got from Alman from which he was able to learn about the anatomy of wolves and he was able to find a way from which he could stay hidden from their noses.

Seeing a man come out of shadow, covered in black mud the wolf was enraged. He was not able to find him despite him being so close made him mad. He started growling at Arvin. To that growl, Arvin just smiled and took out his ax that was stored in his inventory. As the golden wolf saw a black ax covered with the red blood of his comrades he lost it. He pounced at Arvin with the maximum speed his legs could muster.

Seeing the wolf coming towards him, Arvin also started running towards the wolf with his ax raised in the air. After coming close to the wolf, it was Arvin who attacked first. He jumped 9 feet in the air with an ax raised and came down on the wolf.

The wolf may be angry but was not stupid. He saw through Arvin's move. He was nimble in his feet so he sidestepped and avoided his attack. As Arvin landed, he missed the wolf. The wolf took advantage of this and pounced back at Arvin as soon as possible.

Arvin was in a very tough situation then. So he rolled back to avoid the wolf's attack. But then by that time wolf had become persistent enough that he pounced back at Arvin once again. But this time rather than sidestepping like every time, Arvin just bent towards his left and gave an uppercut to a wolf, straight on his jaws. That uppercut made the wolf a little bit dizzy. Expecting this, Arvin let go of his ax. He then stepped forward and opened up his shield.

The Guardian shield was a very shiny object that could gather a lot of attention. So Arvin covered that shield with black mud so its color changed to dark black.

Now with a black shield in his hands, Arvin slammed that straight onto the wolf's face. Before the wolf could recover from the slam of the shield, Arvin threw a right-hand jab at him again. From the powerful punches of Arvin, that wolf didn't have time to contemplate what hit him and from did Arvin hit him.

Just like a boxer out for blood, Arvin hit the wolf from left to right and from down to the bottom. And in just a few seconds, the lost so much blood and energy that it was not able to stand. The wolf fell on the ground, with a face that been smashed into a bloody pulp. Without changing his expression or anything, Arvin raised his hands and his ax flew back to his arms. Then without any remorse, the struck down on the face of the wolf…

{Now only one beast more to hunt and then we could ascend.} Lopt said as Arvin killed the alpha golden wolf.

'Yeah. Tomorrow I will go hunt a Fierce bird and then I will go towards the ascending tower.'
