Solo Player Arvin Chapter 63

Cassandra, Phyllis, and Claire had a lot of questions popping up inside their respective minds. After all, not every day that they meet a mysterious guy who was willing to make all of their dream come true and that too, without any consequences. That man didn't even show his full capabilities but from what they have observed his ability to disguise himself in such an unrecognizable was enough for them to make them frightened.
The trio of girls patiently waited to reach Phyllis's house back in Dwane City. They did not want to start the discussion straight away of what had transpired as they did not want anyone to eavesdrop on their conversation. Speaking of which Phyllis looked at the old man that driving her carriage. She could not let go of the feeling that he may a person in disguise. Then she thought that maybe this is her paranoia speaking.
Even though that old man had shown her that he is the real deal. He had proved that he is the same person that she knew since childhood, Phyllis could not take any chances. She had not agreed to that mysterious man's condition but if she does in the future, she did not want to take any chances. If she makes a deal with him in the future, only three people can connect her to this deal. That was Cassandra, Claire, and this old man. She could trust Claire and Cassandra but this old man was still way out in her trust circle.
So she decided that she would order some of her men and have this old man executed. Phyllis had no way of telling whether this old man has really fainted while that man was talking or he was just faking it. So it would be better if she just executes him. After all, weeds like this should be uprooted before they could become a thorn in the future…
As the trio returned to the house they all went towards the office of Phyllis. That was the most secure location to talk about important matters. Phyllis en route to her office ordered some men to execute the old man secretly and gave them 5 gold coins to keep their mouth shut. Then she went to her office, to see Claire and Cassandra patiently waiting for her arrival. After got in her office she sat on the main deck with Cassandra and Claire sitting on chairs right in front of a desk.

Phyllis's office was more like the library. The wall behind her desk was the only one that didn't have any bookshelves in it. While all the other walls have bookshelves on them. There was all kind of books in her collection from zoology to normal magic theory. While behind her desk there was a big painting of a beautiful garden with colorful flowers in it.
As Phyllis sat on her desk, Claire looked like that she wanted to say something. But then she restraint herself. She waited as she waited for Cassandra and Phyllis to say something before she gives her opinion about anything. While this thought also occurred in Cassandra and Phyllis's minds. So in the end, the trio sat there with no one speaking anything…
"I will go first," Cassandra said after waiting.
"Hmm." Both Phyllis and Claire mumbled.
"What the F*ck was that? Who was that guy? Was that something sort of joke?" Cassandra asked.
"That was not a joke. That man was very strong based on his speed. I think even Claire was far inferior in comparison to speed with him. Secondly, only a few people know about the ghost faction of the Cullen family. And Han was the second strongest member of that faction." Phyllis said.
"Do you think what he said is true? Did he kill Han?" Claire asked.
"It could be true. After all Han dying and this man coming to greet us like this… These things are too much of a coincidence." Phyllis said.
"So what should we do?" Cassandra asked.
"That is what we are here to figure out," Phyllis said.
"Should we tell anyone about it?" Claire asked.
"I don't think that is a very good idea. Based on his disguise that man should be a master of disguise. I have been seeing that old man since childhood. Even I was able to see any difference between him and the old man. They were of the same height, walked the same way, and also had the same voice. Plus he said that his men have surrounded us. That would mean if we take any drastic step that would be the end for us." Phyllis said.
"So what should we do?" Cassandra asked.
"We should not accept his offer. If we stay quiet then he wouldn't do anything to use. Right?" Claire added.

"No. That is not an option. Either we are with him or we are not with him. We know that he had infiltrated the Cullen family and is planning something big. So he would kill us to silent us. Any sane person would do the same." Phyllis said.
"So if we didn't accept his offer he would kill us?" Cassandra asked.
"Yes. I am 100% sure." Phyllis said.
"So we have to accept his offer no matter what. Or otherwise, we would die" Claire said.
"So we should accept his offer. That would give us a bit of a lifeline." Cassandra said.
"Don't be stupid Cassandra. Accepting that man's offer is far more dangerous. Yes, we would live for a little bit and longer and yes we would be the core members of the Cullen family. But things like that come with a very heavy price. Without knowing about the consequences of our action how could we accept his offer?" Phyllis added.
"I think we should send a message to him via Corgan that we could not accept his offer if we do not what it would cost," Cassandra said.
"I don't think that would be a good idea… And I think I may have a theory about the identity of that man and his motives." Claire added.
"What?" Phyllis and Cassandra said at the same time.
"Do you remember that sometime back I was investigating a stupid robbery about the stolen statue of the Cullen's family ancestor?" Claire said.
"Yeah." Phyllis and Cassandra said at the same time.
"Well, while investigating that theft, I interviewed a man. That man said that the person who stole the statue made the statue vanish in thin air. I had a theory that the thief must be from the upper floors. And then I remember that those three earthlings also came here to look for that boy."
"Wait which boy?" Cassandra asked.
"You know, that boy Lopt. Cullen family is giving a very heavy bounty for him." Claire added.
"Oh," Cassandra said.
"Anyhow, I told the old master about my theory. He dismissed the idea as according to him, it was very farfetched. But now that I think about it… That man must be from the upper floors and wanted to get his hands on that boy. Like those three. And maybe he wants us to help him get his hands on that boy or keep an eye on those three earthlings." Claire said.
"Hmm… I don't think that he wants us to do that. Think carefully, we don't have enough power or status that we could constantly keep an eye on those three. Plus if his motive was the boy's information then he could have gotten it himself. After all, he is a master of disguise. He could just disguise and infiltrate the Cullen city and no one would know about it." Phyllis said.
"And then there is the fact that according to him his men had infiltrated the estate. So it wouldn't be too hard for him to get this information from them." Cassandra added
"That is true," Phyllis said.
"So what does he wants from us?" Claire asked.
"I am afraid that this question could only be answered by that man himself... It seems to me that we most likely have fallen into his trap. He got us good." Phyllis said.
"From what I can see, he was not after our lives. Or he would already be taken them on the carriage. That meant he needs us alive. And we must be a crucial part of his plan. So I think for now we should accept his offer." Claire said.
"How could you say that?" Cassandra asked.
"Think of it like this. Are you capable or confident enough that you would be able to achieve something big in Dwane city shortly? If that man is giving us a golden opportunity we should just take it. After all, what do we even have to lose?" Claire said.
Phyllis and Cassandra didn't say a word after that. They both knew the reality, that they had nothing to lose here. If they can achieve what that man said then it would be worth it in the end. They all have dreams and with this man's offer, they could turn their dreams into reality.
