Solo Player Arvin Chapter 90

Arvin slammed his leg in that man's throat and thus killing him in the process….
While the comrades of that man when saw that the rogue warrior had killed their friend who was already fainted, they started flaring up with rage. Every single one of them took out their respective curved sabers and started charging towards Arvin.
Arvin started thinking if he should use one of the poisonous mana bombs on these fools. He just has to throw the bomb at them and just fly away. He would then later return to loot their bodies. But then he scrapped that idea. Mana bombs are precious right now and one might link their deaths to the deaths of those monsters back on the 1st floor. And also Arvin wanted to vent out his anger. So seeing them charging towards him, Arvin also leaped towards them.
Arvin could feel that the combined strength of these people was around his level. That meant that if these guys tried to gang up on him then they could overwhelm him. But that didn't matter to him. This was a good opportunity for him as he needed the experience to fight humans. Plus he had a mana stone bomb as a backup.
When the first of the man came to Arvin and swung his saber towards him, he used his superior strength and agility. Using these aspects first dodge his attack and caught his swinging arm and twisted his arm to his back. When Arvin exerted some force at his arm, that man let go of his saber. Arvin caught his saber and plunged that saber into that man's stomach. And thus making that man's internal organ see the light of day.
Then Arvin took out that saber out of that man's stomach and turned around to meet with other people that were running towards him. One should feel seeing this many people coming after them. But instead, Arvin had a big smile on his face.
One the man came swinging saber at Arvin which was instantly dodged by Arvin and then he kicked that man in the stomach as hard as he could. The intensity of Arvin's kick was so strong that that man was flung back to 10 feet.
The man which Arvin had sent flying slammed with men that were behind him, which led those men to tumble down on their bottoms. This slowed down those men a little bit.

While those men tumbled down, Arvin fought with two men who dodged the flying comrade. They both tried attacking Arvin simultaneously.
While both of them struck down their sword at Arvin at the same time. Arvin dodged both of their swings. While from his left hand he caught one of the man's hands. After tightly gripping that man's hand from which he was using his saber, Arvin kicked the other man on his ribs. While the man whose hand Arvin was holding, he tried punching Arvin with all of his might.
But due to Arvin's skill fluid body, that punch felt like a small pinch on Arvin's face. Still maintain his smile Arvin slammed his head on the man's head thus making him unconscious. Arvin then diverted his concentration on the men that were remaining.
Seeing that Arvin was able to take care of more than half of them without any injuries had made these men realized that Arvin was way stronger than then they were. So if they fight him foolishly and without any plans then they were bound to lose their life. So they have to act wisely from now on.
With that men who could fight started making a circle around Arvin. 6 men were left in their squad. Now surrounded by armed men all around him, Arvin looked a little bit vigilant. All the men were now waiting for a signal, and as soon as they see the signal they would all pounce on Arvin.
Arvin noticed the gazes of all the men. They were looking at Arvin, while from time to time glancing at a man that was behind Arvin. Seeing this Arvin instantly knew that this man was their leader.
Seeing this situation Arvin remembered that a phrase from The Art of War…
A dead leader means a dead army.
It was a simple sentence but this was a very sentence with a very deep meaning. It means that an army whose led by a dead man is itself a dead army.
Remembering that line, Arvin had an idea. Before the leader of those men could signal them to pounce at him, Arvin dropped the saber on the ground and instantly raised his hands….
"I SURRENDER!!" Arvin shouted. Then he started turning around showing everyone that he didn't have any weapon with him. But this was all a farce so that Arvin could have a clear shot at the man who was their leader.

Arvin's shout and action made some men relaxed. But before they subdue none of them dropped their guards. Everyone started looking that their leader for further orders. Seeing those people gaze one last time Arvin confirmed who was their leader.
As soon as he confirmed who was their leader, Arvin summoned his ax from inventory and threw that ax straight towards that man's face. The ax slammed into that man thus killing him in an instant. While one of the men pounced at Arvin as soon as he threw the ax.
Arvin then opened his guardian shield which was still strapped at his hand. Then he slammed the side of the shield at the man's face that pounced at Arvin. That side of the shield pierced through the man's jaw to his skull thus breaking that man's jaw forever.
Seeing their leader dead while the bloodied face of their comrade all of the rest of the men lost their will to fight. Rather than fighting Arvin, they started fleeing. Seeing this Arvin started chasing them. He could not let them escape. He called back his ax and started chasing those men.
...…..
After killing all the men, he gathered them all and threw them in one of the huts. Many people were just merely fainted or were badly injured by Arvin's attack. But Arvin didn't show mercy to any of them. He killed them all ruthlessly.
After killing all of them, Arvin acted quickly. He ransacked all the huts that were present there. And he found various useful things. He found what looked like a map of this floor. He found some candles, a compass, some tenting equipment, some gold coins, and most important of them all. He found water. There were barrels of water in one of the huts.
Arvin stored all the water in his inventory. Arvin also took some of the clothes that these men had….
{Why the hell are you taking their clothes?} Loki asked.
'These clothes were made to withstand the heat of this desert. While all my clothes are black.' Arvin said.
{So what?.... Your clothes are not matching with this week's vogue magazine?} Loki asked.
'No… Wearing black color clothes in the desert is no different from sitting in tandoor. Black is a color that attracts heat, more than any natural color. So I need some simple light color clothes.' Arvin said.
{You humans… so weak and pathetic.} Loki said while mocking Arvin.
'…..'
Arvin had already seen some camels that were tied in the barracks just behind the hut. But he didn't plan on using those camels. Using those camels meant that those camels would leave behind footprints when walking. Arvin didn't want anyone following him while he wanders on this floor. So he had decided that he would fly by transforming him into a Corgan.
Arvin knew that Corgan's were not meant to live in this type of environment. So had decided that he would look for any other bird that is native to this floor.
After ransacking the whole camp the time finally came when Arvin started leaving this camp. He didn't want to stay here longer as there was a very strong chance that someone would come here from time to time to check on these guys or give them their supplies. In any case, he didn't want to stay here.
But when he started flying he realized a very crucial detail. That was the fact that even with a map and compass, Arvin didn't have any idea where the hell he was. In which direction was he supposed to fly? He could not choose any random directions. Although he had enough supplies that he could survive in the desert alone. But he would rather not do it.
Confused about what to do, Arvin started thinking about a solution to his problem. And then he finally figured it out. Loki had told him about something called the 'Call of the Tower'. According to that phenomenon, Arvin could feel the general direction of the ascending tower.
Arvin knew that ascending tower must be an important place for the second floor. So there is bound to be a city or something near the ascending tower. So all he needs to follow is the call of the tower and thus he would find an establishment for sure.
So Arvin gulped some water sat in the lotus position to meditate and feel the call of the tower. And sure enough, just after meditating for just a few seconds, Arvin started feeling the general direction of the ascending tower.

Office Days
Follow Captain Monday and the Weekdays team as they fight the good fight against the villainous Weekends. Oh, and file form a33-2 before eoq3. Comes with a dash of The Office and Office Space plus a side of Super Hero satire. Office Days is episodic in nature. So each story is standalone and may vary in length and focus. The Monday Case is the first episode and serves mostly to introduce the characters broadly. Comments get +Rep for effort. This setting was intended to be a comic series but I never found an artist for the job... probably for lack of trying. The "art" is for concept only... it took me far too long to make and it's still all sub-par.
