《VRMMO: The Unrivaled》Chapter 1300: He’s The Only One Who’s Allowed To Use It

What was the saying again, you stink of perfume and you didn’t even get to fuck her? That was what was happening right now.
There was no chance I was going to stand for this, so I charged straight toward Assassin’s Creed. My name would be clear once he died and dropped both the Immortal Blade and the Dragonbone Whip, right? It wasn’t even as unlikely as it sounded. Both the Dragonbone Whip and the Immortal Blade hadn’t been in Assassin’s Creed’s possession for over 72 hours, and I had a whopping 109 Luck. As long as I was the one who landed the last hit, there was a 75% chance at least this motherfucker was going to drop both items. It was too late for him to make a run for it either. The second he crushed that teleport scroll, I would shred his body into many tiny pieces. Even if he had an invincibility skill, I had the Xuanyuan Slash to counter that.
Speaking of Xuanyuan Slash, I absolutely couldn’t use it unless the situation was right. Although it had a massive range and area of effect, Assassin’s Creed was fast enough that I couldn’t guarantee a hit 100% of the time. If I missed, he would be able to invincibility-teleport wherever he’d like. When that happened, it would be all over. Of course, Assassin’s Creed was well aware of this. That was why we were having this stand-off, and why he tried to trick Farewell Song into attacking me. For now, it was impossible to tell who among the three of us would walk away the victor...
……
Chiang chiang!
I clashed blades twice with Assassin’s Creed, driving him backward and dropping his HP to just 50% or so. After he drank a health potion, he tried to enter stealth with a fluorescent powder only for me to send him flying and rolling across mud with a sword swing. He didn’t equip either one of the Divine Armaments he looted because assassins couldn’t equip longblade-type weapons without suffering severe penalties. The lore reason was that an assassin lacked the arm strength to wield a longblade.
Another assassin—Cold of Spring—supported Assassin’s Creed’s story and said, "Farewell Song, Fruit Knife Guard Captain is carrying the Immortal Blade right now. Take your fight to him and leave us out of this!"
However, black energy surrounded the Warsky Alliance assassin and made him look like a devil god. It was the visual effect of Dark God Transformation. Suddenly, Farewell Song moved so fast that I almost couldn’t see him with the naked eye. The next instant, his dagger pierced Cold of Spring’s back, and Blade Vortex shredded his body into pieces. Farewell Song stared coldly at the dead body beneath his feet and said, "Even if Fruit Knife Guard Captain was the one who took the Immortal Blade, aren’t you the ones who killed Warsky in the first place? It doesn’t matter anyway. I’ll kill both him and Assassin’s Creed while they keep each other busy!"
Flame of Summer, Leaf of Autumn and Cadence of Winter shuddered at the same time. None of them had ever encountered such a terrifying assassin until this point. Farewell Song’s cruelty and decisiveness was famous in the China server, and he was already a legend back in Spirit of Grief. it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he was the face of the Assassin class itself. Today, the four Blood Alliance elders would finally get the chance to test their mettle against him whether they liked it or not.

……
The sound of blade carving into one’s flesh was the only music of this rainy night.
All three Blood Alliance elders lay dead at Farewell Song’s feet. Not even a pretty woman like Leaf of Autumn was shown any mercy. The fact that the assassin had taken less than 45 seconds to kill all four elders showed that they were still a long way away from reaching the apex that was Farewell Song.
Swhoosh!
Farewell Song didn’t wait long to run toward my back with glowing daggers. Here he comes!
I abruptly activated Heavenly River Transformation and thrust my shield arm backward. However, I only managed to hit rainwater and air. Farewell Song had dodged to the side and swung his dagger at Assassin’s Creed abdomen instead.
"The fuck!?"
Assassin’s Creed swore angrily while sliding backward and parrying the attack. After he regained his footing, he growled, "Are you an idiot, Farewell Song? You think you can fight both of us yourself?"
Farewell Song’s reply was as harsh as his eyes. "It’s not impossible, is it?"
Farewell Song had earned himself about 1.5 seconds of spare time after knocking Assassin’s Creed backward. He used that time to attack me with a skill called "Fire Snake Attack”. As far as I was aware, he was the only player who possessed this skill. It ignored a large portion of his target’s Defense and increased the user’s Attack, so it was effective against metal-armor classes as well.
I stepped backward to buy myself a bit of time to react. It would be foolish to underestimate the skill’s power. I struck the center of Farewell Song’s blade but failed to parry the skill perfectly, so I stabbed my weapon on the ground, used it as a fulcrum, and did a 75-degree spin to dodge it. At the same time, I swung my Cyan Dragon Shield at him from an odd angle!
Bang!
Metallic sparks erupted, and Farewell Song looked surprised. The shield bash had definitely extinguished the flames on his dagger. However, his reaction was inhuman, and he had a speed advantage over me right now. Grabbing onto the interior of my Cyan Dragon Shield with my left hand, he pulled himself over the equipment like a bat, wreathed his right dagger in a cone of blue flames, and stabbed my throat with it!
509129!
I didn’t panic despite the massive pain that overtook my senses. I made the snap decision to discard my shield—which destabilized Farewell Song and prevented him from following up his assault—and slammed my sword into his shoulder. After the successful strike, I kicked him in the chest and sent him staggering toward the back. Although he had raised his arms in time to block it, he wasn’t able to nullify its force completely.
380907!
112737!
……
Farewell Song backed a few steps away from me as his HP dropped below 50%. His eyes were full of astonishment. "Who… who are you? I know there isn’t anyone like you in Sky City!"
Assassin’s Creed was attacking me from the flank, so I didn’t bother to answer his question. I parried the incoming dagger aside and sent Assassin’s Creed flying a dozen or so meters away from me with a kick.
Assassin’s Creed hacked and coughed as he crawled unceremoniously out of the mud. His eyes were full of astonishment as well. "Who the FUCK is this guy? How is he so strong!?"

I stood my ground and pulled down my hood. My fiery red hair was incredibly conspicuous under the rainy night. I curled my index finger at both assassins and smirked. "Come. I’ll defeat you both myself!"
"Pay the price of your arrogance!"
Farewell Song abruptly disappeared from his original spot. The next moment, he was rushing toward me with his blue flaming daggers again. This skill he got was similar to Lin Yixin’s Holy Energy of my Undead Energy. It increased his weapon damage and his defense penetration by a lot. Otherwise, there was no way he could’ve hit me for 500k damage with a basic attack even though he struck my weak point.
……
Chiang chiang chiang chiang chiang!
Five metallic sparks erupted in quick succession as the three of us clashed blades under the rain. The swirls of energies circulating around our person were great enough to form mini hurricanes. We were both actively seeking out a way to bring down our opponents, and we never stayed at one place for more than half a second. It was because we knew that it might mean death had we done so.
I didn’t use my skills because I didn’t want to reveal myself. However, Heavenly River Transformation allowed me to keep up with the two peak assassins without falling behind at all. This fact only encouraged Farewell Song and Assassin’s Creed even more because it wasn’t everyday you encountered an Ancient Divine Skill owner who wasn’t overly reliant on in-game skills and an incredible technician.
Pa!
Farewell Song kicked my sword upward and walked on top of it like he was a ghost. How confident would you have to be to literally stand on a knife’s edge? In this case, he was rewarded with a successful stab to my shoulder. I didn’t let him revel in his arrogance for too long, of course. I twisted my blade, struck him in the stomach, grabbed him by the boots and smashed him into the mud like a ragdoll.
While Farewell Song was temporarily incapitated, I swung my shield backward and parried Assassin’s Creed for the n-th time. The pace of the duel grew faster and faster after a minute or so. Farewell Song and I were doing okay, but Assassin’s Creed was starting to fall behind us both. This was a blow to the Blood Alliance guild leader’s pride because he believed himself to be the number one assassin in the world. Obviously, that wasn't the case if he couldn’t even keep up with our pace.
"Fuck!"
A peeved-looking Assassin’s Creed crossed his arms in front of himself in an attempt to activate that flame clone skill that had given me so much trouble earlier. I immediately moved closer to him and smashed his face in with Magic Piercing Punch. While he was dazed, I grabbed his shoulder and stabbed the Chill of the Nine Provinces through his chest. After I spun around so that Assassin’s Creed and my sword was facing toward Farewell Song, I finally used a skill for the first time since the duel began.
"It’s over!" I smirked at Assassin’s Creed’s disbelieving, hateful face.
At the same time, Farewell Song shuddered violently. "That’s… Burning Blade Slash!?"
……
Bang bang bang!
The powerful skill tore Assassin’s Creed’s body into pieces and engulfed the spot Farewell Song was. Unfortunately, the latter had activated Swift Dash just in time to get out of the way. The sonuvabitch was almost as fast as that Dragon Domain Scavenger. The moment Assassin’s Creed died, two Divine Armaments dropped from his person!
I hurriedly grabbed the Dragonbone Whip and attempted to kick the Immortal Blade toward me.
Pu!
However, Farewell Song reappeared and stabbed me in the thigh. There must be some sort of paralyzing poison on his dagger, because my body froze for a moment before I could stop Farewell Song from retrieving the Immortal Blade. Dammit!
Oh well. At least I had retrieved the Dragonbone Whip.
……
Whoosh!
It was at this moment a beautiful woman dashed past Farewell Song and slashed his throat. Caught off-guard, he died without being able to defend himself. Unfortunately, he didn’t drop the Immortal Blade.
The beautiful woman was none other than Lin Yixin. For a time, she stared at me with an indiscernible expression on her face.
I kept quiet because I didn’t know what to say or do. I was wearing a disguise right now, and breaking it in public didn’t seem like a good idea...
Swhoosh!
As expected, she ultimately decided to attack me. Her Dragonfrost drew a freezing arc across the air as she attempted to stab me with Extreme Break. At a certain level, an expert was so good you didn’t take a discerning eye to identify them.
I swung my Cyan Dragon Shield at her dagger and attempted to knock her back with a pommel strike to the chest. However, she surprised me by changing both her speed and direction to dash past my right. Before I knew it, she had changed her weapon and struck me with Ice Flame Slash. The damage I took was significant to say the least. Holy energy did extra damage to me after all.
Pu!
She stabbed my shield arm with her dagger in order to stop me from bashing her as I pleased. I caught her neck between my sword hilt and the guard before questioning her, "Why are you attacking me?!"
She simply stared into my eyes and uttered, "He’s the only one who’s allowed to use Burning Blade Slash!"
Bang!
She kneed me in my groin right after she said that. Oof...
……
We tumbled across the grass for a time until Lin Yixin swung Dragonfrost again, nailing my sword arm to the ground.
This was getting ridiculous, so I hurriedly changed back to my true self and turned on all the equipment visual effects. As my hair turned from red to black, I stared at the woman of my life and cried out, "Dear, it’s me!"
Lin Yixin was sitting on my waist and bringing down her weapon when she heard this. She froze.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.
