Daedalus his face drawn with exhaustion, slumped down beside you, both of his arms blackened with dozens of scorch marks upon his flesh. The wizened orc letting out a light chuckle as he stood back up with a smile on his lips. "Ahhh how I've missed the rush of battle and thrill of danger.
"I know you have many questions my friend but we will have to forego them for now, Tyrene has grown considerably more powerful than the last time we've met, and it won't be long before she returns you to the flesh. Be sure tell her nothing. She may torture you for awhile but she'll soon grow tired of it and leave you to her underlings which is when you should strike."The flesh on his arms gradually began return to their odd shade of red, his skin knitting itself back up.
And while a part of you is amazed at seeing Daedalus and finding out he was an orc of all things, you are more annoyed by the fact that he has stopped calling you master. After all, you'd becoming used to hearing it from him and it did have a certain ring to you. Plus it also makes you wonder what it could mean for the future of your partnership? But instead of saying what was on your mind, you ask, "How is it you are here with me?"
Daedalus grinned. "We are bonded you and I, both in spirit and body. Still it seems quite remarkable that I would retain my body here of all places. Not that there is anything wrong with your mind per say but it usually takes a degree of skill to enter another person's mind and we've done it effortlessly as though we were joined for a millennia. I believe this bond will serve us well, very well indeed." And for a brief second you could have sworn you'd seen a gleam of hunger flash across his face that instantly makes you wary.

Brows furrowed, you open your mouth to ask him more about the bond when you notice the air shimmer, the fabric of darkness becoming almost tangible like spilled oil before slowly dissipating away with Daedalus crying out something to you before the orc fluctuates and vanishes completely.
Then as suddenly as it all began you are back in the cold dark room with the mage staring daggers down at you, her eyes filled with fury as she shrieked, "How did you break free?! Tell me?! Who helped you?!"
But whatever you were about to say is lost in a wave of agony as fiery hot acid courses through your veins causing you to jerk back and forth against the stone chair. Drool dribbling out from between your lips, and corroded black blood trickling out from your skin, the fire burning deep within you. (-40 Health points.)
Teeth clenched, you try to not scream but it was all you could do to keep your mouth shut and when she saw that was not enough, a flame whip materialised in her hands, forcing you to groan in despair as she lashed it against your skin, each time asking you a different question before cracking the whip forward to melt your flesh, the sizzling hot flames biting deep. "I know you had help?! Who was it?! Where are your friends?! Where are they hiding?!"
2. Do you fake your own death and resurrect yourself back to life using the stone? (Quest Item Stone of Galdispar required.)
With the stone still in your pocket, you decide your best chance of getting free of this room, would be to push the dark mage into killing you and bringing yourself back to life. A dangerous gambit that would no doubt hurt tremendously, but one that would hopefully work.

Smiling at each strike from her whip, you ask her for more, all the while laughing and mocking her intelligence.
Blow after blow rains down on you, shredding you apart, laying open new wounds, your mind blanking in out from the sheer agony that slams down on you, your head wobbling from side to side as you continue to mutter insults until at last you black out from the pain and fall into the oh so sweet abyss...
...Dead, your spirit soars up from what was left of your body, a wry smile appearing on your lips at the awkward position you've managed to die in.
Above you, the stars of the sky beckon and below the black gates of hell eagerly welcome you with open arms. But you're not yet done living. The stone that still resides in your pocket pulses with life as the ogrekan hauls your corpse back upon onto his shoulders, taking you out of the room. The dark mage stepping aside before vanishing in a puff of smoke.
You follow your body from a distance as he goes through winding corridors past cages filled with all types of creatures, enslaved guards and rooms where mages practiced their magics.
Eventually the ogrekan stops at a door, flings it open and tosses you inside. Too dark to see what's inside, you guess it's time o return to your body and will yourself towards it. The magic drawing you back down...
...Spitting out blood, you awaken with a start half leaping up into the air and let out a chuckle as you realise you no longer feel any pain.
Glancing around the room, you wince at the realisation you were resting upon a stack of mutilated carcasses with an alter covered in blood standing a few feet from you, an unlucky gnome splayed out across it in chains that had strapped it down.
You quickly clamber down, careful to not slip on the blood and guts and exit the room.

Bow of the North
In game of thrones i felt that the Starks received way too much hardships and tragedy. i know that there were vital points of story, and there were times these hardships were building points for their characters, but i feel when every member of a family has been either killed, raped or crippled then they deserve a break. In my story that break comes in the form of a powerful hunter/general from another world. I have no intention of altering the story to save every stark, or have them win every time, and some of my favourite characters may even be victims of this plot change as well. edited The main character, and there will be several new characters introduced to the storyline, will not just be some over powered guy who makes outrageous decisions that always work out (cough Plot armour) but will be someone that treats the world as a real world and has fears, doubts and is cautious in his decisions. He is susceptible to changing his mind and character traits depending on his experiences in this life. The story will primarily follow the plot at the beginning with some minor changes, and as more things change they will increase till the entire story is changed at the end. I am not copying the world of GoT exactly. cultures, politics and nobility may be changed or made up.

Starship Dungeon BK I - Recovery & Adjustment
Edit: Now with Prologue! When an unknown enemy fires a bizarre weapon at the Earth Defense Forces Naval Fleet in Sol system, a starship's AI attempts to sacrifice himself and his ship to block the weapon and protect the rest of the fleet. Afterward, he finds himself having become a Dungeon Core in another dimension, with no clue what he is doing. Fortunately, he has a dungeon fairy to guide him and a couple of friends who managed to come along for the ride. What follows is a journey that will forever change their new world in ways that nobody saw coming. --- Updates Sundays. --- Helpful comments, reviews, and general error checking would be much appreciated. --- Author's Note: Three of the four main characters of this story are all important side characters from a story that I haven't written yet as my skills as an author are not yet up to the task. However, I do have enough of the story nailed down that no changes I make in that story should affect this one. That said, the purpose of this story is to both practice my writing and to generally have fun with my characters and the world around them.
