Chapter 47: Qingqing, are you trying to take my Spot?

“The midterm this time wasn’t too difficult . So, don’t think too highly of yourself even if you placed well!”

Liang Min’s voice arose from the front .

“Just now, I heard two people who were proud of the sum of their scores? Open your eyes and look at the ranking! Look at the other kids’ scores and look at how your kid ranked!”

Now that He Wanqing had been publicly dissed by Liang Min, Qiao Qing squinted her eyes at her and shedded down much coldness .

“What is it? You disagree?” Liang Min pushed her glasses up her nose and pointed at Qiao Qing, “I was talking about you and your mother! You were second last . What gives you the right to be proud?”

“Look at Qiao Nian . She got 687 in total and placed number one in class and fourth out of everyone in this grade! A single midterm of hers is higher than the sum of your scores! Does she look proud of herself?”

“You are related yet the distance between you two are so far apart . Why can’t you learn from your sister? Based on the path you are heading, you won’t even get into a community college, let alone a university!”

Qin Yongmei listened to Liang Min carefully . Though she tried not to show it, a flower began to blossom inside .

All the depressing emotions she accumulated last night had disappeared . The way she looked at Qiao Nian was full of pride .

Her daughter truly was her pride and joy!

Jiang Yi looked over to Qiao Nian, his eyes were full of excitement .

Who wouldn’t want such a capable girl!

His decision to call off the wedding was correct .

As her own daughter was scolded endlessly, He Wanqing obviously was unhappy .

“You are a teacher by profession yet you speak such ugly words . If a student does poorly, shouldn’t you encourage then? Though Qingqing doesn’t have the best scores, she’s not without any achievement . At least… at least…”

Everyone looked to her direction and wondered what kind of logical sentence she could come up with .

Then, she shouted out, “At least Qingqing doesn’t favor certain subjects!”

Everyone looked back at the score board and checked out Qiao Qing’s scores .

After a few seconds of silence, the entire room erupted into laughter .

Math 15, Chinese 14, English 11, Physics 17, Chemistry 16, Biology 13 .

Every subject were in the 10s . Truly she didn’t favor certain subjects .

In the end, everyone laughed out loud . The pitiful way they looked at He Wanqing was mixed with mockery .

“Have you laughed enough?!”

Suddenly, a cold voice exploded .

Qiao Qing stared at the group of people who had been stunned by her explosion, “Is getting first place such a great achievement?”

Everyone looked startled and confused by this .

A bad score merely meant she was dumb in the head . It didn’t exactly mean people looked down on her .

But for her to speak like this and taunt those who got great scores, especially when the highest scorer was her own cousin, it showed that she had bad character .

However, only Luo Chen and Lin Xiyan could hear that Qiao Qing did not speak with any saltiness nor jealousy . She was simply asking .

It was as if she truly wondered if scoring first was something to be proud of .

Qiao Qing didn’t expect anyone to actually answer . She merely nodded on her own accord .

She patted He Wanqing’s head with a soft gaze .

“There’s no need for you to be jealous of others . Next time, I will score first and make you proud . ”

As soon as she spoke those words, another wave of mockery flooded the room .

Liang Min was so furious she almost laughed/ “Are you writing your exams using your lips? You sure are talking big and aren’t afraid of twisting your own tongue! Do you believe it when you say things like this? Does your mom believe what you are saying? To save your face by making such a claim will only make you more of a joke later!”

A student down below chimed in, “Teacher, to score last could also be considered ‘first’! she is only one spot away from it . Isn’t it easy to do worse?”

His words made all the students and parents in the room guffaw .

He Wanqing, Luo Chen, and Lin Xiyan all stared at Qiao Qing in awe .

Her tone was so determined it was strangely convincing .

But logically thinking, it made this seem too farfetched .

To place last sounded more plausible .

Luo Chen asked weakly, “Qingqing, are you trying to take my spot?”
