Qiao Qing’s eyelashes quivered . Then, she nodded .

Just then, there was a knock at the door .

Qi Yusen, “come in . ”

After a creak, the door opened, and Luo Chen and Lin Xiyan walked in . The two said in unison, “Qingqing, what happened?”

Qiao Qing froze, “Aren’t you in military training?”

Luo Chen answered, “The instructor stopped us from leaving but we snuck out during the break . Forget about us, what’s wrong with your health? Are you in pain?”

Qiao Qing hesitated before responding, “It’s my time of the month . ”

Luo Chen’s ears turned red .

Qiao Qing then said, “It’s nothing . Go back quickly . It would reflect badly on you if they catch you . ”

“What’s there to be scared of? At most, they’ll punish us a bit . But, everyone in school is now talking about you and Feng Heng . Someone had dug him out and revealed his identity . ”

Qiao Qing gently bit her lip, “When have I ever cared about what others have to say about me? It’ll calm down after some time . ”

Qi Yusen said in a low voice, “Don’t go to military training anymore . If you have time, you can read some books in the library . ”

Qiao Qing, “… brother…”

Luo Chen gently coughed, “Young master Qi, there is a limit as to how much you should spoil your sister . It’s Qingqing’s first day and people are already talking about her after what Feng Heng pulled . If she skips training, people will talk about her even more . ”

Qi Yusen paused and patted Qiao Qing’s head, “Then, rest at home for a few days . Go after you feel better . ”

By the time Qiao Qing felt better, it was already the weekend, and also the day for the audition of the female lead role for “Immortal” .

Today, Qiao Qing got up bright and early and went to pick up Lin Xiyan .

The two of them went to the audition . The moment they entered the resting area, they saw a familiar silhouette .

Fu Siying looked over at them . When she recognized the two, her face turned black .

Stepping in her heels, she walked over and said arrogantly, “Today’s the audition day for ‘Immortal’ . What are you two doing here?!”

Lin Xiyan, “I’m here for the audition . ”

“You? Hehe…” Fu Xiying reacted like she just heard a joke, “Don’t you understand the language I’m speaking?!”

“I said, it’s the audition for the female lead today! We are not hiring extras! You got a compliment once when you were an extra once and now you think you can be a female lead? What a joke!”

Lin Xiyan was about to snap back when Qiao Qing pulled her to the side and sat down .

Fu Siying, however, refused to let it go and followed them . In a low voice, she said, “I suggest you stop wasting your time . The female lead is destined to be me . The audition today is just for show . ”

“One, you have no background, two, you have no experience . Where did a worthless extra find the courage to compete against me for a role?”

Lin Xiyan replied, “Whether or not I audition is my business . Your background and how you want to get to places through the back door is your business . What’s wrong with you? Why do you keep barking at me?”

“You!” Fu Siying’s face turned atrocious . She was about to shout again when someone announced, “The director’s here!”

“Just you wait!” Fu Siying hissed and then greeted the group of incoming people .

Qiao Qing smiled and patted Lin Xiyan’s head, “You attack well . ”

Lin Xiyan rubbed her head into her palm, “I’ve found her annoying for a long time . ”

Qiao Qing, “…”

Just then, a shrill voice erupted, “My god, actor Yi is here too! He came with director Shen!”

Qiao Qing’s expression changed a little . She looked up and immediately met the gaze of a smiling fella .

Shen Jie raised his hand to calm the crowd, “Thanks everyone for waiting . I’ve already elected actor Yi as the male lead for the movie . Today, he’s going to judge the auditions with me . ”
