“She sure thinks of herself as a superstar. Even the superstars here do not sign autographs for the employees all day.” Lan Xu pouted and looked over to Dai Yixin, “Director Dai, aren’t you going to do something?”

Dai Yixin looked at Qiao Qing and curled her lips.

She had forgotten about this girl this last while because she wasn’t worth mentioning. Who knew that she would show up here out of the blue.

As she thought about it, she coughed and shouted sternly, “What’s everyone crowding over here for? Don’t you all need to work?!”

The employees all shut up, glanced at Dai Yixin, and returned to their posts.

Lan Xu looked over at Qiao Qing and said furiously, “It’s already busy enough for everyone to work the year end celebration. So, explain to me why a little scriptwriter is standing around here and wasting everyone’s time? What would others say when they see what is going on?”

Her words made the employees furious.

Many times, people get more offended when their idols are mocked compared to when they themselves get offended.

Despite their anger, none of them dared to say a word.

After all, they didn’t want to offend those in power and lose their job.

Just then, a cold as ice voice pierced across the room.

“This is the first time I’ve witnessed someone distorting the truth to this extend. She’s a scriptwriter, a best-seller author, God of Racing, and God of Marital Arts. Isn’t it normal for her to have a lot of fans?”

“How come when employees are asking for her autograph, she’s wasting their time? If anything, the employees are wasting her time.”

“It looks like being in the entertainment industry alone isn’t sufficient. It’s very important to read a lot. Uneducated people cannot distinguish the right from the wrong. They also definitely cannot read the situation correctly.”

Bai Weiwei’s words made Qiao Qing’s fans chuckle under their breath. They all looked over to her with appreciation.

Lan Xu only spoke up because she wanted to please Dai Yixin. To be called uneducated and distorting the truth made her face drop.

“Her only tie to the entertainment industry is her role as a scriptwriter. What kind of help can she offer you if she’s just a scriptwriter?”

“Lin Xiyan at least has a boyfriend who’s a manager. Yet you’re low enough to try and kiss a scriptwriter’s ass? Even newly debuted celebrities have more backbone than you!”

“Plus, this girl has been butting heads against director Dai. Since you joined this company from a competitor, you’re already in an awkward spot. Now that you’ve wronged director Dai, where do you suppose you’ll be getting any resources from?”

Bai Weiwei bit her lower lip gently. However, her face remained calm.

“I am very satisfied with the way the company has treated me. I’m doing a lot better than when I was at Star Entertainment. You, on the other hand, sure know how to collude and form alliances. But, if you’re so good, how come I’ve heard that you’re getting fewer and fewer opportunities?”

“You…” Lan Xu was hit where it hurt, and her expression turned as ugly as ever.

She didn’t know why that was the case. Based on her status in the company and in the entertainment industry, she used to always be the first in line for new shows and endorsements.
