Chapter 1273: Countdown: Six Days Left

Gregory’s heart gave a jolt.

Yeah, he clearly knew that she had strong skills and was protected by her Wolf king partner. He also saw her safe and sound with his own eyes but when he heard the three words ‘Mengmeng’s in danger’, he could not help but worry, right? Was there anything he didn’t notice? Was she caught in some kind of difficulty?

And for a moment, Gregory was suddenly relieved internally. If she was really in danger, wouldn’t he have a very good excuse to delay his one month agreement logically?

He wanted to stay by her side for not only seven days…

This idea made Gregory’s heart experience a turbulent and his few days of muddling-along started to clear up.

All abnormalities and discomfort had their most reasonable explanations.

Ha, different air and difference in environments whatsoever.

He clearly….had fallen in love with that little female and did not want to leave.

Back then, the person whom he disliked and was desperate to get away from became his invaluable love treasure and he did not bear to release her for even a second.

After realizing his feelings, Gregory was not the least relaxed.

The engagement between the vulture tribe and the ‘mighty person’ was a dead knot. If the female who inherited the Heart of the Desert did not exist today, the tribe leader of the vulture tribe would be destined to be lonely for all lifetimes and all generations. He would never be able to long for love…

Ha, the honorable oath back when he inherited the position of tribe leader became a type of curse today.

Lea’s words hit all the spots so upon seeing Gregory’s expression, he knew that it was time to haul in his net.

Ha, looks like it was not his ability to manipulate people’s heart regressing but because Gu Mengmeng destined his fate of being a complete failure.

He said that Wabei and Gregory experienced their ‘concerns becoming disorder’, so why was it inapplicable to use it on himself too?

He was always being led by the nose by Gu Mengmeng and once she frowned, he could not do anything to her….

However, the only heart he could not manipulate was Gu Mengmeng, right? Other than her, he could place anyone, including himself, on his chessboard without any consideration.

The afternoon of the sixth day before Gregory leaves.

After Gu Mengmeng finished her breakfast, she lied against Elvis’s chest and sat outside the stone castle to sunbathe. A howl was sounded from the skies and Gregory instantly put up his guard, turning his head with a sharp gaze as he entered defense mode.

There was no other reason because all the Birds stayed at the Motou Mountains. So, any Bird that left the place was an enemy and only one party could coexist if they met.

Two enormous wings were soaring in the skies and after making two circles, he landed right beside Gu Mengmeng.

It was not anybody, it was Ian.

He acted like he did not see Gregory as he waved to Gu Mengmeng calmly. Just when he wanted to walked towards her, Gregory launched a fierce attack on him without any words exchanged.

Ian was a third-level orc too. Although he had mated with Mandy, he had not surpassed third-level yet because he still needed to gather some battling experience. On the other hand, Gregory was an orc at the peak of third-level for a long time and moreover, vultures had been staying in the mountain amongst the Motou Mountains with the worst weather so they were trained by nature’s hard work and numerous revisions. Thus, they were a lot stronger than same-level orcs.

With the swing of his claw, even if Ian was well-prepared, he would had only avoided his vital organs. From his collarbone to his shoulder, a serious wound was flipped open, dripping with blood. It was so deep that his bones were visible, hideous and horrifying.

Gu Mengmeng was given a huge scare by this sudden situation. Without having the time to react, she leaped out and pushed Gregory away, protecting Ian behind her back. Glaring at Gregory with her widened eyes in rage, she chided, “What are you doing?!”
