Gregory smiled and nodded, as he said, “Okay . ”

Gregory thought for a while, shook his head to reject her suggestion and said, “The wind is too strong outside, you will freeze . ”

Gu Mengmeng’s eyes lit up as she looked at Gregory and said, “Right, I heard from Lea that the males from Birds tribe can also sing well . ”

Gregory nodded and replied, “Except that they do not sing as well as you do . ”

Gu Mengmeng hugged her knees and said to Gregory, “Sing a song for me . ”

Gregory was also not shy . He nodded his head, hugged Gu Mengmeng in his arms and sang a tune with his deep voice beside her ears . It was deep and light, slow and graceful, as though it was an European piano playing a famous piece . It was not bustling with life but every note touched people’s hearts .

He hugged her and gently swayed to the rhythm, as though they were dancing together .

At the end of the tune, Gu Mengmeng could not stop herself and looked at Gregory with a mesmerised gaze .

Gregory was drunk in her gaze and felt as though he lost himself .

His lips curled upwards unknowingly . In this moment, his mind was blank and his eyes only had her .

“You like it?” Gregory asked softly .

Gu Mengmeng nodded her head without holding back, then tried to mimick his humming . However, she could not hum with that feeling that he gave off . Even though there were no lyrics, it was filled with deep emotions that she could not learn .

“I shall return the gift and sing a song for you as well . ” Gu Mengmeng smiled and said .

Gregory thought hard about her returning the gift and wanted to ask, ‘Since I like you, can you also like me? Then this will be considered returning the gift . ’ but these words were stuck in his throat and he only said “alright” in the end .
