Chapter 1565: I Don’t Want You! Don’t Want!

Snakel slowly released Gu Mengmeng and did not trap her in his arms anymore. He just held onto her hand and went down on one of his knees. Looking up at Gu Mengmeng, he said, “Twomeng, I mentioned before that I will only propose once in my lifetime. Marry me, alright?”

“The illusion you talked about earlier….”

Snakel smiled, maintaining his position of kneeling one of his knees on the ground as he said, “Your appearance here signifies that the doors of time and space have opened…this is your original world, your family and friends are here. If you’re willing to return back to this world, these 19 years I spent here will become your memory and I’ll make you live life in happiness forever. But if……if you still want to return back to the Beast World, everything here will become an illusion, a dream I made using 19 years of my life.”

Snakel opened the ring box. A pair of snake-shaped matching rings was lying quietly inside, two snakes sharing a gallbladder.

Snakel mentioned before that when a male and female snake came together, they would form a perfect pair. However, if they were to separate, the gallbladder would belong to the female and a male without a gallbladder was a dead one.

“Twomeng, don’t make me lose you again. Marry me, will you?”

Countless memories started pouring into Gu Mengmeng’s mind. All television dramas that she watched with the Beast Deity became her own memories, as if she was the one dating Snakel all along.

The interlacing of memories from the two spaces overturned each other, sinking Gu Mengmeng in massive agony.

Grabbing onto her head, she shook it profusely. She wanted to scream out loud but no sound came out from her mouth.

Snakel was worried and his heart ached at the same time. He hugged Gu Mengmeng in his arms tightly and said with a deep voice, “Twomeng, don’t be scared, everything’s fine. I’m here, I’ll protect you. Forget about everything from the Beast World, stay here……I’ll be by your side, alright?”

“No….no!” Gu Mengmeng clenched her teeth hard, her eyes turning red.

She could not give up on Elvis and Lea because they were still lying in the ocean of blood.

The pathetic scene of Elvis’s and Lea’s death, as well as, the promise she made on the day she mated with Elvis kept surfacing in her mind.

“Elvis, I love you. I’m going to give myself to you. From today onwards, I’ll treat you as my pride, my skies and my husband. I’ll stick with you in life and death unless you forsake me. If you’re faced with any imminent danger, I’ll substitute myself for you….”

She promised Elvis and Lea, no matter how much she lied before, she would never make a lie like that.

She would never abandon them, never!

“I want to go back, I want to return to the Beast World!” Gu Mengmeng hollered at the top of her lungs. She bit onto her tongue harshly to keep herself awake. She told herself that this messy memory was not to be trusted and all these memories that concerned Snakel did not belong to her because they were just scenes she watched on the television with the Beast Deity in the Beast World.

She reminded herself heartlessly, “Snakel’s already dead, this person in front of me……is just an illusion!”

“I want Elvis, I want Lea, I don’t want you! Don’t want!” Gu Mengmeng screamed and shouted with all her might, pushing Snakel as hard as she could.

Snakel staggered backwards, losing balance. The next moment, the rings fell to the ground. The female snake and male snake separated into two. A gemstone appeared on the female snake while there was a……missing gallbladder on the male snake.

The scene before her started to twist and turn, resembling an oil painting dipped in water. The moment it touched the water surface, the oil paint dissolved in all directions.

Her headache slowly became better as she took in deep breaths while holding onto her chest. She scanned her surroundings warily with bloodshot eyes and realized that this was…..a familiar setting.
