Chapter 1632: Be Obedient

Gu Mengmeng’s academic results had always been below average. Also, she had to work a few part-time jobs every day. As a result, she would sleep through most of her classes in school, especially when the old professors were rambling on about the same things. Their tones and frequencies were much more effective than hypnosis.

But this time, Gu Mengmeng was so excited till she could not sleep.

The topic of the lesson was ‘Labor Relations and Management’. The old professor was analyzing a labor dispute case which arose due to the employees job-hopping from some cartoon animation company in 2008 before he went on to discuss the importance of the management of labor contracts.

Like in the past, nothing went into Gu Mengmeng’s brain. She scanned every corner of the classroom with her big and glowing eyes, feeling surprise at every detail she spotted.

In fact, before she transmigrated, she never observed this classroom in such detail before.

What was so exciting about things she was so used to in her life?

But after exploring almost the entire Beast World, even the old professor’s purple porcelain water cup made Gu Mengmeng feel warmth when she returned.

The female student who helped her hostel mates take their attendance by blocking her face with a book and changing the pitch of her voice. The male student who lied on the table and slept soundly. The young couple who was looking at each other with utmost devotion and love, ignoring everyone around them while quarreling, as if they were filming a MV. The two students who had something going on between them and despite clearly sitting next to each other, they acted as if they did not know each other but the pink bubbles surrounding them exposed them in an instant.

Ha, university life was so enriching and interesting, why didn’t she realize it previously?

Ah, back then, she used up all her time and energy to merely survive, how did she have the time to notice all of these?

Snake pinched Gu Mengmeng’s tiny hand and she finally snapped out from her thoughts to look at him.

Her smile instantly made Snake’s heart skip a beat, the anger that was building inside him also disappeared in a jiff.

“What’s the matter?” Gu Mengmeng asked.

Snake wanted to show her a stern expression, but when he met Gu Mengmeng’s eyes, he could not bring himself to do it. The corners of his lips had betrayed him because the moment he saw her, he would break into a smile unknowingly and nothing could remove his smile away from his face.

Admitting to his fate, Snake softened his tone towards her as well. Where did the merciless Snake King’s mighty and dignified aura which could easily make people tremble with fear go to?

Now, he had completely changed into a man who fell deeply into love and only did what his wife asked him to. All of his gentleness was focused on this little girl in front of him.

“You didn’t look at me for the entire afternoon since morning. Elvis and Lea aren’t here so I’ve to fight for your favor with this damned school now?”

Gu Mengmeng pinched her nose and said with exaggeration, “Ugh, so sour. My teeth are hurting….”

“You’re mocking me now?” Snake frowned, but his eyes were filled with connivance and tenderness for her.

Gu Mengmeng glanced at the old professor who was still lecturing on the details that different labor contracts need to look out for. She gestured a ‘shh’ hand signal and whispered, “We’re in the middle of a lesson, don’t disturb other students. Keep quiet and be obedient, alright?”

Snake clenched his teeth hard.

Be obedient?! She asked him to be obedient?!

He was the Mighty Snake, the formidable Snake King in the Beast World, the respectable prince in the present world, the Great President with a high authority.

And she asked him to be obedient?!

But what’s more hateful was that, after she said that……he actually really shut his mouth ‘obediently’.
