Chapter 2289: The Attack of Three Supremes!
Translated by: Hypersheep325
Edited by: Michyrr
“It’s too late. None of you will be leaving here.” A cold and aloof voice drifted out from the summit.
“Who!?”
The men in black paled as they raised their heads.
But a moment later, their terrified eyes beheld a giant silver hand descending over them.
Boom!
With a thunderous explosion and a chorus of screams, countless men in black were obliterated by the violent Stellar Energy.
The battle ended even more quickly than it had begun, and in the blink of an eye, only the leader of these men in black was left standing.
“The Child of Destruction!”
The leader shuddered, his eyes flying open as he stared at Wang Chong.
“You know me?”
Wang Chong raised an eyebrow in surprise, and then he sneered.
“It seems that everyone in the Celestial God Organization knows me now, even a puny captain!”
“Wait! Don’t kill me! I can tell you everything you want to know!”
The black-clothed leader paled, fear in his eyes.
Firmament Supreme had been killed, Genesis Supreme had been killed, the Purification plan had failed, and the cold wave’s origin had been destroyed! Right now, everyone in the Celestial God Organization truly did know about Wang Chong’s existence. Even ordinary men in black like him knew of his infamy and feared him.
The Sage Emperor of the Great Tang had also struck fear into their hearts, and the power of the Son of Heaven’s Sword was of mythical proportions, their greatest nightmare. But that Sage Emperor had to preside over his court and could not lightly take action. However, Wang Chong had paved his path forward with the bodies of countless people.
They couldn’t help fearing him.
“There’s no need! I’ll find out by myself what you plan to say!”
Wang Chong clenched his hand around the man’s neck and fixed him in the air.
Bang!
Wang Chong sent a wave of Psychic Energy flooding into the leader’s mind.
He easily seized control of the man’s mind and began to read through his memories.
The men in black had a strict hierarchy, and the core secrets would all be sealed in their minds. But not even the most powerful seals could block out what had happened six days ago.

Through the man’s memories, Wang Chong quickly saw everything that had happened in the Hyderabad Mountains.
Wang Chong’s reports had been correct. About six days ago, a large number of men in black had received the summons and gathered in the Hyderabad Mountains. Thousands of men in black, transformed into Lu Wus or Asuras, had charged up to the summit.
Their Fires of Mara, Ju Bi, and Lu Wu had engulfed the mountaintop.
There had been tens of thousands of miners in the mountains, and Wang Chong’s garrison had been given ballistae, but these were only meant to defend against the attacks of secular factions. They were no match for the men in black. Wang Chong had never planned for this scenario.
But amongst these men in black, the one that left the greatest impression on Wang Chong was a figure like a blazing sun, someone who appeared even more powerful than Genesis Supreme.
Wang Chong heard what those people had called that person.
Essence Supreme!
“It’s him!”
Wang Chong’s eyes flew open.
The faceless man had mentioned that there was a Supreme in the Celestial God Organization called ‘Essence Supreme’, who had assumed management of the organization and had noticed that outsiders had infiltrated it.
But Wang Chong had never imagined that Essence Supreme would appear here at this time or that the organization would target Hyderabad.
What were they doing with such a large force?
Wang Chong was alarmed.
Besides Essence Supreme, Wang Chong had seen two other enormously powerful existences in this man’s memories.
These two weren’t as powerful as Essence Supreme, but they were undoubtedly Supremes. If his guess was right, these were Grand Supreme and Radiance Supreme. For the Hyderabad Mountains to draw three Supremes seemed utterly absurd.
Wang Chong had never encountered this situation before.
Is it all because of him?
Wang Chong narrowed his eyes, the image of the Sindhu High Priest appearing in his mind.
Though Hyderabad was extremely important, providing the ore for tens of thousands of Wootz Steel weapons every year, Wang Chong didn’t believe that these three Supremes would care about mortal weapons.
This only made Wang Chong more confused.
“High Priest, what is your relationship with them?” Wang Chong muttered, numerous thoughts on his mind.
Wang Chong felt like he could not keep standing around.

“Old Eagle, Li Siye, Young Master Qingyang, stay here. I’ll be back soon.”
Wang Chong snapped the neck of the man in black and threw his corpse on the ground, then blackish-brown ripples began to spread out from Wang Chong.
Wherever these ripples touched, the hard rock would ripple like water. Using his Earth Movement, Wang Chong disappeared into the Hyderabad Mountains.
The only one of the Divine Embryos Wang Chong had brought with him on this trip was the Earth Divine Embryo.
Wang Chong had placed this Divine Embryo into the halo so that he could use its Earth Movement at will.
Buzz!
The rocks parted like water, flowing past Wang Chong as he moved downward. He soon reached a depth of nearly one thousand meters.
The entire way, he could see the remnants of battle, traces left behind by clashes of universal energy. Even though it had been several days since the battle, these remnants had yet to disperse, proof of the terrifying power that had been thrown around.
Moreover, as Wang Chong spread out his Psychic Energy, he could sense that enormous energy source in the depths of the Hyderabad Mountains.
But different from what he remembered, this boundless energy source felt extremely unstable, as if it had suffered from some intense impact.
They battled underground!
Wang Chong understood what was going on.
Judging by the traces of energy, it had undoubtedly been Essence Supreme, Grand Supreme, and Radiance Supreme. They had traveled deep into the earth and battled fiercely with the Sindhu High Priest.
Wang Chong found it impossible to fathom the exact details, but he was sure that the battle had been exceptionally fierce.
But how did it turn out?
As he thought about the Sindhu High Priest, Wang Chong became extremely uneasy.
The energy left behind in this region was as intense as raging flames.
This searing energy made Wang Chong feel that the intensity of this battle had even surpassed his battle with Genesis Supreme.
The Celestial God Organization had come well-prepared. Three Supremes working together were not something the Sindhu High Priest could stand against.
This thought made Wang Chong accelerate, and he moved swiftly toward that secretive cave the High Priest had once summoned him to.
Wang Chong recalled his meeting with the Sindhu High Priest. His cultivation level had been too low at the time, and there had been many things he didn’t understand. But now that he thought about it, the Sindhu High Priest had clearly been in the Grotto Heaven realm and was capable of controlling spacetime power.
He had clearly used spacetime power to send him out of that cave.
In addition, that cave in which the Sindhu High Priest had been hiding was not that simple. Other than powerful seals, the Sindhu High Priest had also applied profound energy to create small dimensions akin to the ones the Celestial God Organization had created at the cold wave origin.
One would find it difficult to get in unless they found the entrance!
A few moments later, relying on his memories, Wang Chong managed to find the entrance to the Sindhu High Priest’s dimension.
It was a zigzagging passage only big enough for a single person.
Swoosh!
A dark golden Halo of Spacetime appeared under Wang Chong’s feet, and he swiftly made his way into that narrow passage.
A few moments later, bzzz! Wang Chong felt his field of vision open up. As expected, he had succeeded in entering that cave from his memories.
“Who’s there?”
As Wang Chong emerged from the passage, he heard someone call out in alarm. As the voice spoke, the area darkened, and an immense and heavy energy suffused with scorching flames descended upon Wang Chong.
“Seeking death!”
Wang Chong reacted extremely quickly. At his current level of power, very few people could threaten him.
Bang!
The moment he sensed danger, he threw out the halo and had it take the form of a sturdy wall. At the same time, a dark golden Halo of Spacetime rapidly expanded and then hurtled at his adversary with destructive power.
Boom!
The energies clashed, and with an enormous explosion, Wang Chong blasted through his foe’s attack, the remaining energy slamming the assailant into the wall of the cave.
A brief glimpse informed Wang Chong that his assailant was a man in black.
This person wore a golden mask and was otherwise completely enclosed in a black robe. He had been hiding at the edge of the cave and had completely constricted his energy. If not for the fact that Wang Chong had an extremely high cultivation level, this man really might have succeeded in his ambush.

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat! Encroaching Darkness
Ashford Meyers used to be a general practitioner, living out his days in peace while he expanded on his hobbies. This all came crashing down when the world changed. Creatures from myths came out of the ether to wreak havoc on the world. He uses his smarts and additional powers from the system to create a place for the remnants of humanity to flock to. He starts training those who want to protect the weak in this new world until everything changes with the arrival of the outworlders. So, this fiction is something that I have been working on for a few weeks, and as such, I have about 75 pages already pending. The Polyglot's Rune
Fear. Regret. Memories. They all flashed before my eyes as my life began to fade away. I felt a darkness encroach upon my heart followed by a sinister foreboding. Within that moment I was asked a single question by a powerful, mystical being. “Brave being, do you wish to accomplish a great deed in your life?” “No,” I refused, but the voice did not listen. It summoned me to its world only to try to have me slaughtered. But then, I was saved by him, the princess who disguised herself as a man. He was hellbent on revenge, and he was determined to drag me down with him. This story is meant to be a bit of a mix of genres and cultures, so there are some elements that may seem xianxia like, but it's not exactly the same so I didn't tag it. It also has multiple lead characters but is written in first person. Schedule: Dropped Normal Chapter Length: approximately 3000 words Warning: Tagged [15+] for Strong Language and Violence (Gore and Profanity aren't very prevalent, but I added the warning tags just in case).
