《Celestial Journey》[Disappointment]

Hearing the two souls dare utter such blasphemous words, Alexander was just about to use a soul search technique.
"Oh? Become your disciple? Then, let me ask you, kid, what cultivation realm were you in?"
Thinking that Alexander was interested, the old man and woman did not keep quiet.
"Hmm? This old master was an Immortal Sky Realm master!"
"This mistress was the same, an Immortal Sky Realm master as well! But what my husband did not mention was our true strength! We were invincible in this realm, both at the third stage but even peak ones did not dare to look at us."
His eye twitching, Alexander felt that their bragging was both justified and unjustified.
"I see! Then, let me ask you something, kids."
Frowning, the old man felt a little aggrieved at the kept title of 'kid', but let it go.
"Ask away!"
"How strong am I, then?" Releasing his peak Life Refining Realm cultivation base, the two soul remnant were dumbfounded. Not only so, the group of four was immediately sent into disarray.
The two children were struggling for their next breath, even when the two souls used their utmost spirituality to shield them.
As for the two old souls themselves, they were both feeling dread build up.
Even with their cultivation lost, they did not lack eyes, instincts or even memories. So how could they not tell the difference between their prime and Alexander's casual aura?
This man was not be underestimated! They earlier claimed that no Immortal Sky Realm master could even look at them. But what about Alexander?
By now, even if the Sealed Ten Heavens were present, none would dare look at his shadow!
As for Alexander, he knew full well about the difference between them.
He knew that a peak Immortal Sky Realm master would be almost a thousand times weaker than him.
"What does you little Dogshit Realm cultivation base amount to? Are you proud? Proud of being an Immortal Sky Realm trash? The Martial Dao is vast, yet you are content with just this..."
"The worst is that you were not even peak Greater Existence Realm cultivators. Disappointing!"
"So tell me now, what use do I have keeping you alive? I'm confident that none of your memories are worth shit!"
"This..." Their heads hung low, the two of them opened their mouths a few times, but no sound ever came out.
"You're just going to keep silent? Sure! Stay silent for the rest of your lives!" Vanishing from his spot, Alexander had already closed in on the both of them. Spreading his arms, he caught the two's heads with his bare hands.
Not willing to waste his time with the [Hive Mind Demonic Legion Technique], Alexander opted for a much simpler one.
His hands glowing a pale blue light, the souls shivered before crumbling into sparkly dust.
Reviewing the memories of these two, Alexander shook his head in disappointment.
"Nothing worth my time." Waving his hand casually, the two children, who should have been favored by luck, were torn to pieces on the spot.
Even if a crowd had been present, Alexander would have done the same. Losing face was not important, but pulling out roots, no matter how disgusting and difficult, was most important.
Going inside the palace, Alexander sat cross-legged inside a giant white room, its ceiling hundreds of meters high.
'Once I'm done with the little break, I'll go see Hophe for my arm.' A missing limb was not a deal breaker when cultivating, but it was still a missing meridian and a hole in combat needed to be filled. However, with his current cultivation, Alexander was not too worried about the latter.
With the breeze of Tuzim gently brushing past the palace, and as days and nights passed, Alexander started to unravel the mysteries plaguing his mind. The arcane power of this dimension where life roots, divine roots and instinct cores resided seemed to be extremely important.
Going over the Divine Realm, Alexander even used puppets half a step into this realm's peak to see what would happen. He made clones breakthrough again and again while assimilating their memories and feelings. But only after thousands of attempts and centuries of cultivation did Alexander finally catch a glimpse of this power.
Feeling the possibilities it gave him, Alexander understood why the Martial Saint Sullivan and Beast Monarch Gu Sho were stronger despite their cultivation base. As, he too, was now half a step into the next realm.
Aware of what would come next, Alexander felt cold sweat drip down his forehead. He felt that it was completely possible for someone truly into the Instinct Liberating Realm to actually control others' dimension. He felt that the legend he ended up believing after so long, that nothing could interfere with this dimension, was actually wrong. He thought that, if these two opponents had been just slightly stronger, killing him by crushing his life wheel would have been possible.
Someone capable of interfering with this specific dimension could be said to have the lives of countless experts inside their grasp. Alexander already did, but with raw power. However this method was different, it was not about killing someone, it was about erasing their very essence!
So what if you have a life-saving artifact? One at this level only needs to destroy your Life Root from afar!

Luckily for him, with his Life Root already turned into a Life Wheel, it appeared more resilient. But this still meant that ascension out of this place would push him in an incredibly dangerous territory!
'It's useless to think about this now, I will protect myself with what I have. Since this power can influence that dimension as well, I could simply use it myself to defend against it. So I should focus more on my mastery of this energy rather than how to run away.'
Going back to the steles, Alexander managed to decipher some parts.
'The Universal Stele is quite easy, it's simply guidelines for the next realm. The Divine Stele as well, I'm still confident in my first theory. As for the Chaos Stele, it's probably just some motivational stuff.'
'Now comes the truly interesting one. This Heavenly Stele seems to talk about something much further away than the next realm. Could it be a new realm even beyond? Could I actually go that high on the Martial Dao when being stuck here?'
'Space is lamenting, the newborn Universe cannot be shackled. From just this, it appears that my conjectures were somewhat correct. These Origin-Tier Worlds were not there for nothing! This entire Multiverse is probably the Dantian of someone or something.'
'For the second part, it's talking about the Celestial Realm's Heavens specifically, either it's because the one who wrote this was born here, or that the Celestial Heavens are the true law enforcements of this Multiverse.'
Thinking of this always brought him to a lost thought.
'But Earth's Universe didn't seem to have anything like this... wouldn't it be a waste for the owner of this Multiverse? Wait... Earth again?! There is definitely something really, really wrong here!' It did not matter how many millions of years would pass, Alexander would still remember Earth somewhat vividly. This gave him the creeps each time.
Determined, Alexander calmed his mind, plunging head first in his mind.
Finding Earth related memories, Alexander felt like cold sweats of anticipated fear were trickling down madly.
'[Memory Seal]!' His mind blinded by a purple light of sealing, chains were immediately formed around his Earthen memories.
Looking carefully, knowing full well this technique's power, Alexander had his mouth wide agape.
Because right in front of his soul Avatar, where the Earth memories were sealed, he witnessed in incredulity the chains shatter like glass, dispersing on the spot. Luckily, his soul was strong, so this backlash did not cause him any harm whatsoever. But the nervousness he felt was palpable.
"Fuck!!"
How could Alexander not tell what the failure meant? Something stronger than him in some way interfered! How could this happen? A half-step Instinct Liberating Realm master, capable of overturning the Multiverse, was actually forced to retreat inside his very own mind!
'Is it the Multiverse's master? No... there did not even seem to be anything going on, one moment it's sealed, the next it's back to usual...'
Having felt no external influence, Alexander knew that the problem came from inside his own mind.
But since he could not deal with it as of now, he simply remained as calm as he possibly could before taking deep breaths.
'It's fine, it's fine. Cultivation will solve everything, what can cultivation not solve? I used to be a weakling unable to live past eighty, but now I have already long achieved my dream. Even as an Overlord I did. I could cover the sky with one hand, hailed as the new sky.'
'Cultivation is my dearest friend. Even Qiu Qigang cannot compare! Cultivation is everything!!'
With renewed, borderline insane determination, Alexander tried to influence the other dimension.
His past and current experiments with clones managed to save him countless generations of seated cultivation. And in only a record time of half a million years, Alexander had suddenly grasped his Instinct Core with this new power. This power he could now control!
He had now fully stepped inside the Instinct Liberating Realm!
'These Sealed Ten Heavens have nothing on me! But what can I say? Clones are just that effective. It doesn't matter if I can't succeed during my own peak Divine Realm breakthrough, I can just make clones do the same until I get it right!'
Now pondering over it, Alexander realized that some peerless genius might have understood this power when they first broke through the Divine Realm's peak. This thought made him understand the craziness of this mundane realm.
It meant that someone at the Divine Realm could kill Greater Existence Realm masters if given the Heaven-Defying opportunities and time.
"It's stupidly rigged!"
Back to his cultivation, Alexander did not want to waste his time on such trivial wonders. Since he had long passed the Divine Realm, what good would this do him? Even if he was aggrieved at the possible preferential treatment of unseen geniuses and talents, he could do nothing about it, yet.
Ready to continue on his Martial Dao, Alexander closed his eyes in deep understanding and experimenting.
