《Celestial Journey》68] - [Luck]

The puppet's memories already assimilated, Alexander found out that some issues had arisen.
'What the... two men are waiting... but I can't gauge their cultivation base!' Being inside the Southern Demonic Continent, Alexander only expected peak Primordial Harmonization Realm experts to be present. So seeing that two Immortal Sky Realm or beyond masters were here truly showcased his bad luck.
Thinking about it, he understood them to be hidden ancestors of the Gold Sects.
'What dogshit luck!'
His breakthrough devoid of Heavenly Tribulations, Alexander had not expected his powerful cultivation base to be felt from so far away.
Therefore he also did not expect multiple Immortal Sky Realm masters to trace him. Especially when these experts were actually the strongest powers of the entire continent by a massive margin.
'Those two are so strong that I can't even gauge their potential strength. But since this is still the Southern Demonic Continent, I doubt these two to be beyond the Immortal Sky Realm!'
The capital city hosting Silver and Gold Sects, it should not be possible to find experts at the Greater Existence or beyond unless one was that unlucky. Therefore Alexander was not too worried about such possibilities, at least not to an extreme point as he kept his vigilance high at all times.
'You never know when things might turn sour...' Taking out his Fleeting Dreams, Alexander smiled.
'Twenty years ago, I sent a puppet to kidnap the best artifact refiner of the capital, and was not disappointed. Now, with your increased power, you may save my life if push comes to shove.'
Twenty years ago, Alexander's puppet kidnapped a great artifact refiner, who, under Alexander's blackmail, was forced to upgrade his Fleeting Dreams.
Now an Extreme-Tier mid-grade artifact, comparable to the Immortal Sky Realm, Alexander could finally use it in battle without it feeling pointless.
'That's why I never used weapons during my prime, because the moment you breakthrough, they become useless!' Shooting into the distance, gaining terrain on the experts below, Alexander could not hide his frown as he was spotted.
"Brother Vyh, did you feel it? A first stage Immortal Sky Realm expert is actually above us!"
Hearing his good friend's words of wisdom, the man walled Vyh elevated his gaze, staring at the empty blue sky.
"Brother Tulios, how do you know? I can't see anything, and let's be honest, there is absolutely no way for both of our Celestial Senses to catch onto something so far away!" His hands behind his back, the old man called Tulios smirked.
"Remember? I cultivate the Divine Eagle Art! My eyes are not something the likes of you can comprehend!"
His forehead bulging with veins, the middle aged man Vyh was irritated.
However he did not have time to openly complain as his friend Tulios kicked the ground, flying toward Alexander as if a peerless arrow.
His brown hair and burly physique contrasting with his sudden flight, Vyh tried his best to catch up.
Giant beasts flapping their wings, they leisurely flew in the middle of the clouds.
Surpassing them, a young man with long silver hair, soon followed by two men as well.
Cursing his bad luck, Alexander had a deep frown showing.
'How did these two dogs catch onto me? There is no way for their Celestial Sense to reach me, does one of them cultivate some sort of special art, or maybe one of them even inherited an ability of sorts?' Feeling the two to be largely beyond his current means, Alexander had started to flee, but could not shake the duo off no matter how much he tried.

'No wonder, not only is the difference in each minor realm monstrous, even if they were just one minor realm above me, out speeding them would still be difficult.'
Chasing after him, an old man in green robes was chatting with a brown robed middle aged man.
"Brother Vyh, this young fellow is quite fast! We can barely keep up with half of our strength!"
Hearing his green robed friend speak, the middle aged man nodded solemnly.
"Indeed! This man is only a peak first stage Immortal Sky Realm expert, yet he can contend with over half of our maximum speed! Should we get him to stop now? I don't want to miss dinner..."
Listening to his good friend, old Tulios sighed, not forgetting to act upon his friend's request.
'?!' His eyes wide, Alexander felt his instincts scream at him to go faster. Unfortunately, he simply could not.
Turning his head around, he saw the green robed old man extend his arm forward, aiming at his back.
Watching with steeled nerves as the old man's open palm warped the space around, Alexander braced himself for impact.
"Guh!!" Grunting, Alexander felt his body turn countless times heavier, soon falling below, crashing face first into a giant raging sea.
Looking in his direction, the two men contemplated their next action.
"Do we just fish him out... or do we... I don't know, do something else?" Cleary unsure on what to do, the old man realized his first mistake, or more so waste of time. He did not even know why he followed Alexander!
"I don't know either! You're the one who went after him! Let's just kill him!"
As the two argued on what to do with him, Alexander was taking all the rest time he could afford, slowly sinking deeper within the cold sea.
Some corals and fish-like beasts dancing around him, he began to gauge his chances.
'While I managed to reach the peak of the first stage, making me many times stronger, these two are around twice as strong as me! Not only that, but blocking four hands with two is not ideal either...' Certain of his lacking escaping potential, Alexander had no choice but to fight.
'Well, if these two fuckers think they can get out of a fight with me, Alexander, unscathed, then they are completely delusional!'
Fighting with Alexander in the same realm with the same life experience already hard enough, he could already discern the duo to be much younger than him, especially from their body control and manners.
'They can't even circulate their Celestial Qi properly... The only problem I really have is this mysterious power...' Thinking deeply, Alexander stroke his chin, his body curled into a ball, floating slightly above the seabed.
After a few seconds of pondering, he could tell what had happened.
'I know! This bastard used the sky's power! Of course! They are both around the Immortal Sky Realm's peak, so doing this much should not be an issue!'
Now aware, Alexander was almost done establishing his winning chances.
'So to recapitulate everything... I can't kill them in one shot, can't outrun them, can't defeat them head-on and can't even contend with their abilities. But I can still annihilate them in pure close combat, martial arts, tricks, battle experience and can also use my Fleeting Dreams... How grateful I am to myself for always planning ahead!'
His curled body regaining its straight shape, Alexander was currently going up invisible stairs, one step at a time, climbing majestically from the very depths of the abyss.

Meanwhile, he also used this precious time to take out multiple puppets, most at the Blooming Lotus Realm while also slapping some esoteric talismans on corpses his clones had previously collected.
His eyes shining a golden light, their light warping from the surrounding water, Alexander formed seals with his hand in quick succession, before chanting mantras in a dangerously incomprehensible language.
His head coming out of the clashing waves, the duo still in the sky looked at him, immediately stopping their bickering.
"He came out on his own- huh?" The two men's brows furrowed, their watched in horror as Alexander's body emerged from the water with freezing company.
Hundreds upon hundreds of jiangshis were following his every step, his invisible staircase expanding even into the air.
"Brother Vyh... It seems like this battle won't be as one-sided as we first expected!"
The brown robed middle aged man nodding, he also stared in fright as Blooming Lotus Realm puppets were accompanied by an army of jiangshis, from the Blooming Lotus Realm all the way up to the Primordial Harmonization Realm.
"Young fellow, you taught us today not to judge a book by its cover! While your little army is of no threat to us... it is quite terrifying to witness someone control so many jiangshis by himself!"
Waving his hand, the green robed old man sent a gust of Celestial Qi toward Alexander's army, sweeping them away in instants.
About to commend his friend, the middle aged man narrowed his eyes.
"Brother Vyh, what do you think of my precision-"
"Brother! Look! Where did he go?!" Interrupting his friend blowing his own horn, the middle aged man's Celestial Sense exploded outward.
"Careful!" Having sensed something, the middle aged man dodged to the side, evading a sudden glimmer of light.
"What?!" Shocked, the old man watched with renewed awe as his friend barely escaped from a poleaxe flying at him from behind.
"Tsk! Quite the agility you have, I'm honestly surprised a fat fuck like you can react so fast!" Clicking his tongue, Alexander, now floating above them, retrieved his Fleeting Dreams using its chains. Now back in hand, he first started by making it spin at high velocity, only holding it by the tip of its long chains.
"A mid-grade Extreme-Tier artifact! Brother Vyh, be careful!" The old man shocked beyond reason, he immediately extended his hand toward Alexander.
But how could Alexander fall for the same trick twice?
'?!!'
Silence reigning, the old man watched in utter confusion as his right hand bled intensely, or more precisely, watched his right hand fall into the raging sea, his forearm now naked, spurting red like a fountain.
"...H...How?..." Both experts dumbfounded, they did not understand how old Tulios could receive such an injury without any prior warning.
What they did not know however, was that Alexander himself was also shocked.
A true master of space principles, something common for Overlords of his Universe, Alexander knew how to use space coordinates. Therefore, in a new Realm, where space and time differed, where laws were strengthened, he could not shatter space as he usually did, let alone teleport.
But an old monster having lived for more than forty million years, Alexander had a broad and vast knowledge of space principles. And this was the exact reason he had been collecting space ring after space ring without fault.
Using them, he first placed a space ring inside multiple space rings, putting some inside his jiangshis further back before throwing some of his own in front of him. But the tricky part was timing and luck, as placing space rings inside space rings would often lead to spatial explosions at random intervals.
Having placed so many space rings filled with other space rings themselves, he had to wait for enough of them to detonate before throwing a space ring in front of him, this one filled with multiple space rings along his own Dao of Space, causing it to crumble in spatial chaos mere moments later.
Now two different spots on the same plane showing signs of spatial disruptions, Alexander threw his spinning Fleeting Dreams inside the warped void in front, his chains holding tight. All the while praying his lucky star that his two man made and scraped by portals would connect without trouble.
Luckily, his portals did connect and his throw was utter perfection, hitting the green robed old man from behind, slicing off his right hand along impaling his right lung.
*Cough!*
Drowning on his own blood, the old man felt dizzy.
"You!!!" Shouting in pure anger, the old man stared at Alexander...
...or so he thought.
"What-?!"
A true master of immortal battlefields, Alexander would never let this chance pass, jumping at the old man's throat right away, strangling him with one hand while he did not pay attention.
The action unfolding faster than any of the two could react to, Alexander, now holding the old man's throat, squeezed even more before sending his left palm at his chest, crushing every bone hidden from view.
The old man's green robed drenched in sweat, tears and blood, he could not escape from death, as Alexander's palm was filled to the brim with clashing Yin and Yang energies. These clashing energies collapsing his vessel between heat and cold in pure mayhem.
But to bury the nail even further, Alexander had not forgotten to dissipate the old man's Nascent Celestial Soul.
"You're next!" Throwing the old man's dead husk of a body inside a random space ring, Alexander kicked the air, flying toward the nearby middle aged man.
"Noooo!!!" As if forgetting how to fight, the brown robed man attempted to flee, a perfect scenario for Alexander.
'How moronic... are they really peak Immortal Sky Realm cultivators? Trying to flee when he can actually win just because of a little fright...'
'Pathetic!'
"I didn't do anything! Let me g- urgh!" Coughing blood by the litter, as if a demonized waterfall, the middle aged man felt his insides churn, literally, as Alexander's Fleeting Dreams impaled his back.
"You can fly twice as fast as me, but with how little awareness you have... how can you dodge my thrown weapon?" Laughing at the middle aged man's infinite mistakes, Alexander swiftly closed the distance the man had grown, catching his poleaxe's chains without trouble.
Tugging at them, he caught not only his weapon, but also the man's body, still impaled by his artifact.
"You could never escape, my Fleeting Dreams is equivalent to the Immortal Sky Realm's peak as well! It doesn't matter how strong your body is, you can't evade fate!"
Not sparing the man a glance, Alexander plunged his right hand inside the man's skull, digging straight through bones and brain matter, before dissipating his soul as well.
This was how Alexander had defeated two opponents at the Immortal Sky Realm's peak with only skill, battle experience and a sprinkle of luck.
