《Reincarnated into a Time-Loop Dungeon as a LVL100 Catgirl Chef!》Cycle 27 (1)

Dear Diary,
Good news: the players have keys that they use to get through the barriers. Actual, physical keys. So if we get one, we can leave the floor.
Bad news: the cycle ended before we found out about the keys. So we’re going to have to wait to get one. And then wait even longer to use it.
Staab found out about the keys somehow, and told Lilly. She was super happy about it. We all were. The only thing we wonder about is, will it let us go up. I mean, before, we couldn’t. I guess Staab saw someone pass the key from the “down” side to the “up” side, so he thinks it should. If it doesn’t, we’ll just have to figure out a way of getting Staab a key.
But before we can do that, we have to get a key.
We’ve been trying to figure out a way of stealing a key from a player. Kimi doesn’t have keys in her shop, so players must get them automatically.
Mika and Kimi think we should force a player into giving us a key. Via and Lilly want to figure out how to open a player’s inventory while they sleep. Aya wants to look into duplication spells, and I… I don’t know. I really, really, really wish teleportation worked. I’d feel bad about stealing, but I don’t see any way around it.
Thankfully we have time to figure out the best plan possible.
In other news, I have tacos now! I have corn tortillas, taco seasoning to go on ground beef, chorizo, cilantro, three types of hot sauce, pico de gallo, guacamole, limes, and two types of shredded cheese. All the other vegetables and stuff I already had. Oh, except jalapeños. Mika told me that if I ever spell jalapeño without the squiggle over the N, she will murder me with a rusty saw.

And, since I guess it’s a sin to eat tacos without alcohol, I got three types of beer, two types of wine, and a couple different harder liquors. Kimi had whiskey before, but that’s the only alcohol any of us had. I don’t really know what to do with them. I mean, I know people drink whiskey straight, but do they do that with vodka? I didn’t get any instructions, so I guess I’ll have to experiment with them. Which, I don’t like alcohol. Not that I have anything against it, and I won’t judge anyone for wanting a beer now and again, but I don’t want to drink it. It burns. And then it makes you stupid. And I don’t care how great being drunk is, I’ve had one hangover in my life and never want another one ever again.
I asked Kimi about it, and she said she never drank anything mixed. Lilly was there, and said she only ever drank red wine, because it has lots of health benefits. I hope one of the other girls knows more about alcohol.
I’ll go ask.
Goodnight, dungeon!

The London Phantom: A Superhero Webnovel
London is an old city. It has survived floods, fires, plagues and the man-made smog of industry. It has stood firm against the armies of Vikings, Saxons, Normans and the aerial might of the Luftwaffe. It has borne witness to dynsatic feuds, civil wars, military occupation and the sin of regicide. Through all these disasters the city has survived not through force of arms, though its walls were once the envy of the world, but through adapting to the times. Enemies become dependant on the city, and the wealth of the world that flows through it, and so become new allies. If the rulers change, then the city welcomes them with open arms, and open lines of credit. In this way the city seeks to preserve its ancient rights and position of power. Superheroes are a new phenomenon. The first superpowered man walked out of the Nevada desert in 1950, and the world was forever changed. Across the planet, men and women with exceptional abilities made themselves known. At first, they were little more than another source of fear in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction, but over time attitudes changed and the concept of the Superhero was created in the city of Los Angeles. From there the phenomenon spread across the globe; superheroes went from being feared arms of the state to a symbol of hope in these maddening times. Times have changed. Sixty years from the emergence of the first superhero, the City of London stands on a precipice. Two years have passed since the madman Fawkes nearly brought down the United Kingdom and the remnants of the Bow Street Runners, London's premier superhero team, are struggling to keep order in a city that seems on the brink of collapse. London stands on a knife's edge, with criminal organisations that once stuck to the shadows becoming more bold, and ancient powers from myth and legend making themselves known. Alexander Laszewski has recently 'awakened' and has become entirely unremakable, effectively making himself invisible to the world. He must use his newfound power to navigate a city on the edge of collapse. If only he could figure out how to turn it off.

Northwoods Trapper
In the wild places of our planet, dark vestiges of our paranormal past yet cling to twisted life. In the past, the hunters and trappers of the world were tasked with removing such blights from society's fringes - legal assassins, enlisted to enforce the will of civilization against those unnatural, otherworldly hosts. Nowadays, we're not so lucky. With the idea of proper monster-hunting fading from public perception, the once-prestigious mantle is donned by amateurs, hobbyists, and self-taught warriors. It pays poorly, it's dangerous, and people would rather do something that gets them rich or famous or drowning in attention. Most often, new-age monster hunters are born from tragedy. They lack the tact, training, and funding of hunters passed. Instead, they have only their wits and brawn to carry them through. So it is with our hero. In the woods of the American Midwest, foul creatures lurk. Tabitha Varna, a young college drop-out scarred by her past, is determined to uproot them or die trying. Sometimes she hopes for both.[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Mobius
Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.
