Yeah... i'm really bad at taking breaks.
After much thinking and a lot of soda and an encounter with a leaf blower where I burned all of the hair off my elbow and had to throw away a sweatshirt, I have decided...
...to leave Master Chief in as a foil to the Doom Guy, and to also include a character from 40K.
I've decided on a nameless Chaos Warrior following Khorne, because my research led me to believe that those soldiers can either be an honorable warrior, a blood-crazed maniac, or in some cases, both. I've opted to go for the 'both' option. I guess you guys can come up with a moniker for him in the comments if you want to - calling him 'the soldier' is gonna get confusing pretty darn quick what with Doom's referenced name being that here.
While I'm at it, I realized something. If fanfic writers can make Taylor from Worm fifty shades of gay, then I can have a little bit of creative license when it comes to what Doom does. As for whether his armor is from Doom 1, Doom Eternal, or Doom 2016... I don't really care, guys. It's the Doom armor. It's iconic. I can't not have that armor in a Doom fanfic.
