Our hero emerged from his shell, ready to take on the world!
Nothing could stop him! Through bravery, cunning, combat skill, and overwhelming intelligence, our hero defeated his enemies. Spiders, Centipedes and Giant Skeletons- Oh my.
Through the guidance of the brave frog prophets, clearly sent to help our hero on his quest, he did slither out towards his destiny!
He met a friend, Miss Paladin, and together they went on a wonderful adventure. They toured the sights of a nice and peaceful lake, taking the time to chat and cook local delicacies, all while learning about magical architecture, before finally ending their vacation in the peaceful Adventuring village. There, nothing at all went wrong, and they parted ways with a tearful goodbye filled with longing and promises to meet again.
So it was, our brave hero set out alone! Off to the strange subterranean lands of the Goblins. A primitive, yet sensible race: it only took a small show of force before they quickly saw the importance of bowing before their newly found deity! Raising up our hero to his rightful status, as the Chosen Prophet of the Tiny Snake God himself. Truly it was only their elders: those foolish and wicked Goblin shamans, who could not see the light of wisdom and faith.
In a betrayal most foul, the Elders tricked our hero! Sending him into a trap, forced to face the false God they had ignorantly worshiped before. A terrible creature of great wings and talons, who sought only to devour and consume: A guardian who nested on the border between the world of the surface, and the world below.
But their trap failed! As traps always do, when meeting the cunning wits and guile of our champion. After a legendary battle, our hero found a way to victory! Through a clever ruse, he allowed himself to be swallowed whole, all so that he could use his poisonous attacks against the great God of the forest. His plan worked perfectly, setting him down among the ancient trees of the Northern Forests: his new domain.
It was hardly long before he found a new people to serve him. The noble race of the forests, untouched by the horrors which lurked in the depths below the soil. The Elves were deemed worth subjects, and yet: not all was well. Unlike the Goblins, the Elves saw our hero not only as their God, but their God in new form. While they could recognize his amazing talents, they accepted him as their lord and savior: because of for what he might become. Our wise hero soon realized they were plotting something, and that he could only trust his loyal servant, Imra. His suspicions only worsened as the rest of the elven tribe attempted to shamelessly sway him with bribery and liquor. As if that would ever work.

Still, on the approaching night of festival, they finally succeeded. For but a brief moment, the slightest instant, he was fooled a false sense of security. And it was in that instant: they struck!
Sealing him, in the hopes of harnessing his power and binding him to their will, the Elves began an ancient ritual. Of Blood and Bargain, they attempted to confine and him, and force him to bow to their wishes. Through the use of long-forgotten rites, of old magic: made from chaos magics, they offered sacrifices to trap our hero.
But the elves made a foolish mistake! For, they were prepared to offer not only monster, but human sacrifices. Even against the warnings of our hero, who told them of the great danger such terrible deeds would present: recklessly, the elves brought their own doom upon them! Those humans who were to be offered as sacrifices had brought with them the attention of far more dangerous warrior: Adventurers of great power who had tracked their missing comrades, arriving with the hope of of saving them from their fate!
As battle broke out! The Children of the Forest, facing off against the Children of The First King! And what a battle it was!
Of steel, of glass! The Elves were no match for a Swordmaster, armed with twisted earth. Their weapons could not stand against him! The bonding ritual of chaos and blood was struck with more blood, raining down from the bodies of the slain! Too much blood, in fact, for it began tilting the scales of balance out of control. Those lives and offerings fed bargain with chaos beyond what could ever hope to be stopped, and the resulting disaster would shape the history of the world! It would unleash a hell upon the land, the likes of which no one alive had ever seen! The likes of which, even the great human Empire, in all their mighty power, would be hard pressed to stop!
But such dangers were nothing to our hero. By his will, his strength, and perhaps his luck: he and his loyal servant escaped. Cut off and secure from the dangers raging outside, what had once been the prison meant to contain him within the ritual, allowed survival- for it was powerful enough to endure the cataclysmic event: throwing them beyond the sky, only to return to the world once more, far from the Great Forests of the Northern Continent.

So it was, they set out to new adventures. In a distant land, our Hero and his loyal companion found themselves arriving at the Capital city of the Empire.
Yet, all was not well in mudville! The land upon which the Empire had long resided, was suffering. The fields, the towns, even the once mighty City of the Emperor, seemed to be dying or dead. The once-great civilization of mankind, had long since been brought to its knees, enduring the slow and painful grind of drought, and famine. Endlessly trapped, fighting off the threats which continued to creep down from the Bloody Mountains where Dwarves once roamed. Battling against both the Constructs, terrible creations to seek out enemies of the world, and nature itself.
But our hero would not be deterred! Recognizing his destiny through signs from the holy frog prophets, sent by the Tiny Snake in the sky, he quickly gained direction. It was only a short time until his was once more among his spiritual kin, quickly making friends with a group of Adventurers, touring the city and going on fun adventures where nothing at all went wrong, ever. Still, his new friends had a secret on their hands: for they had discovered something of tremendous value, and were pressed for both time and resources. A secret that was a important, as it was dangerous.
Only with our hero’s assistance, did they outwit and outmuscle their enemies within the city walls, and escape under the cover of the Emperor’s golden fleet! Leaving the city under the confusion, they watched as the Emperor and hundreds of skyships set sail towards a direction that had absolutely nothing to do with the horrendous disaster set loose in what was formerly known as the Northern Continent. Nothing at all. No sir.
So it was, with increasing mental clarity and stability, our hero finally set out towards his destiny. Out in the wastes, he and his companions found a pet rock, and with Imra standing guard and watching their backs the entrance, began the fated journey: back into the hidden depths of a long lost entrance to the dungeon.
Down.
Down, down, down into the ancient ruins they traveled, pursued by a fearsome enemy. That which wished for vengeance on all who would dare stand against it! Yet, battle they did, and together, through the power of friendship and mental stability, they descended further into the depths until they finally met what was waiting for them.
For, our hero had misunderstood the signs! He offered his prayer and received his guidance, from that which was not the God of Tiny Snakes, but the Large Frog God: a fellow traveler from beyond. A former human, long ago reincarnated into the world they now resided!
Alas, the Large Frog God was not long for the life they still barely held, and it was only through their final will and gift, that they could bestow our hero with the necessary tools to aid him in his true quest and destiny. The powers that would aid our hero, as the very world turned against him.
Yet, deep below the surface, our hero and his comrades were ignorant of the terrible battle being fought above! As Imra, loyal Imra, did wage war for those who sought to claim the dungeon’s entrance for themselves!
Recognizing the danger far too late, our hero used all of his skill and ability to ascend back to the heights of the dungeon. Through mighty strength, he wrought the earth and stone, to aid his close friend, but he arrived too late.
So it was, with a heavy heart, and a heavier soul, he took up the mantle of responsibility he had long avoided.
No longer that of a hero: but a God.
