Chapter 1 Extras:

“Empress Xeina. I bring news.” A voice behind the door quietly whispered.

“Come in.” Xeina instructed.

The wooden panel folded open and a man in a mask entered the dimly lit room, he knelt down before Xeina as soon as he closed the door.

“Speak.”

“The caravan taking Crown Prince Airen has been attacked by the cannibals of the desert. A single wounded man managed to make his way back and reported that they had killed and looted the caravan before fainting. As for the transport holding Princess Yuelei… it was hit by a sudden avalanche and fell into a canyon.”

“Did you find their corpses?”

“No, but-”

“Enough, a wave of force blew from Xeina and knocked the man backwards. “Leave now, lest you wish to feel my wrath.”

The man hesitated. “But your highness, there is one more piece of news.”

“Continue then, then be off.”

“Royal Instructor Jourmin’s body is missing...” the masked man quickly retreated as soon as the words left his mouth. Not a second later, several Earth Lances impaled the ground where he was just standing on.

“That Necromancer had the last laugh after all it seems.”
