《Lia and Lara will seek the One Piece》Chapter 46, Arc 4

Nojiko's POV;
Josef and I managed to climb on the deck of the Marine ship without being noticed and even took out the two guards without making any sound. “We should try to take out everyone on board and then give Lia and Lara fire support from the crows nest.”
“Are you sure? They might fire on us”, questioned Josef my idea. That would be true, but dial weapons have no combustion component and as such make no light if fired.
“Only if they manage to spot us. My weapons are silent enough and make no light. They won't be able to spot us from this distance. They are also in the middle of a fight against Lia, I don't think a single Marine will be able to also watch out for us.” Josef nodded in acceptance, my argument was sound and he had no problem with it.
He readied his scalpels and walked over to the door. I stood behind him, ready to give cover fire if needed. There wasn't any need to. He opened the door silently and we both sneaked inside.
Through hand signs, we decided to first take care of the captain of the ship and then handle the crew. There won't be an organised resistance without a commander. And there would only be one if we make a mistake.
We sneaked towards the captain's quarters and opened the unlocked door, probably for easy access in case of an attack. The inside was dark and a body was laying under a set of sheets.
Josef slowly walked up to the sleeping Marine and then plunged his scalpel into the neck of the captain, while holding a hand over the mouth of him, so that he could not scream. The silent gurgles were clearly male and fell silent with only little struggle.
Josef cleaned his knife on the sheets, nodded to me and we left the cabin. Our next target were the two sleeping quarters of the vessel. It was laughably easy. Josef cut their throats while I stood guard at the door, ready to shoot if someone wakes up and makes a fuss.
None of them did until Josef's fourth victim, then we heard a muffled gunshot, which luckily did not wake anyone. What did wake everyone was the deafening boom of Lia's pressure bomb. Her attack wasn't due for a couple of minutes, so something must have happened.
Every remaining Marine woke up with a jump and was then thrown out of his or her bed by the shaking ship. The shock wave of Lia's attack rattled mightily on the ship and I only managed to keep standing because I could get a save hold inside the door frame.
Josef wasn't as lucky and fell down as well, yet he reacted quickly and threw his scalpel at a Marine while drawing another one to plunge it into the eye of a man that fell right next to him.
His screamed alerted the rest of a nearby enemy, but neither of the remaining two could do much. I had already recovered from the shaking and placed a cloud bullet in their heads.
“Let's quickly get rid of the other room, there should only be some women inside”, said Josef urgently. He was already on his legs and moving towards me. I nodded, turned around and aimed at the hallway.

Soon enough the door that leads to the other living quarter opened and two women, hastily clothed in Marine uniforms, run out, their weapons were drawn. The first got a cloud bullet in her heart, the second managed to duck behind her falling comrade and used her morbid cover to shoot at me.
The bullet hit my right upper arm and left on the other side. I grunted in pain and ducked back into the room.
Josef was instantly at my side and gave the wound a look. “It didn't hit the bone and will only hurt, we still need to bandage it, but it isn't dangerous for quite some time.”
He then grabbed one of the dead Marines, moved him upwards and let the corpse's shoulder poke around the entrance. A gunshot came from the other side and the shoulder got hit.
Josef let the corpse fall down and jumped around. He swiftly threw one of his knifes and the woman screamed up. A second knife followed and the screamed changed into pained gurgles. They silenced soon after.
“Now let's get this compressed and bandaged. We will drop your idea of giving Lia and Lara fire cover and return to the Shadow while blowing this thing up”, he then commanded and began to pull bandage mull and some duct tape out of his medication kit.
“I will take a closer look once we are back on the Shadow”, he mumbled and started to bandage my wound. It stung and I felt the wound pulsing, yet there was no real pain.
“Why does it not hurt?”, I asked this was the first time I got truly wounded.
“You are pumped full with adrenaline, of course, it does not hurt. It's only a light wound. Trust me, the pain will come once I have to disinfect it”, he replied and grinned at me. I shuddered at the thought. Jonny and Yosaku are always screaming when Josef has to clean their wounds from one of their mistakes during pirate raids.
“So finished, now lets set the fuse and leave. I don't want to be here when this ship blows up.” He then said and stood back up. My arm now had a neat little bandage. I followed him to the armoury and we prepared the gunpowder to explode in ten minutes, enough time for us to get off and away.

Third Person's POV;
Leon Luther was running for his life. He, like his comrades, was a Marine duty sworn to uphold justice. He was also the only one left of a whole company.
The night started like any other night in his Marine outpost. Some dinner and then going to their designated post. There he and his friends would guard a floor and go to sleep eight hours later.
Leon even hoped he might have been able to see the Admiral that came yesterday. Admiral Kizaru was a legend, one of his most prominent achievements was his hunt of Fisher Tiger.
And who would attack a Marine base with an Admiral anyway?
Well, it seems there were some stupid enough. Late at night he and his partner for this shift heard the rumbling of an explosion. The message that the ships were under attack followed soon after. Leon wasn't worried, the attackers would have to get through five ships full of Marines, one of those was even a super-sized warship. And it was also under the order of Vice Admiral Momonga.

There wasn't much that could defeat such a force. Especially not in Paradise. So when he got a call from the entrance he expected an all clear. Not the hysterical shouts of a fellow Marine about a flying monster.
He and his friend exchanged worried looks and got into position, rifles ready to shoot at anything hostile. They waited for an unknown time in mind torturing silence. And then he heard IT. It was first silent, then a light scratching sound rung through the corridor. As if metallic claws were moving over metal.
It came closer, clack.clack.clak. Only this silent, clack.clack.clack was audible, nothing else.
The long corridors and metal panelling of the floor, ceiling and walls made the sound echo all over the place.
Clack.clack.clak.
Suddenly, something moved around the corner. Beppo, his friend, lost his nerves and pulled the trigger. His gun fired and Leon expected to see that something to get hit or that Beppo missed.
He didn't expect to get splattered in Beppo's blood, bones and brain matter.
Leon's head shot to his right, and he saw how his now headless friend sagged to the ground. Clack.clack.clack. His head snapped back and he saw the murderer of his friend. The monster that killed the entrance guard and his comrades was a...chicken.
This can't be, a chicken, a hen even, can't kill Marines. Trained soldiers in the name of justice.
But here, in front of him, it was. A small brown hen was slowly walking towards him. A white mask was over its beak and her feathery gown was splattered in blood.
“Bough”, the hen clucked menacingly and Leon lost it. He fell down, scrambled back and run. He simply run for his life, in hope to find someone. He run past another guard post, heard gunshots from his back, then screams and after that silence, followed by the slow and death promising
clack.clack.clack.
He hurried around another corner and bumped into something solid. He fell on his behind and looked up at the towering form of Kizaru, the Admiral that ate the glimmer fruit.
“Ooooh, who have we heeerree?” drawled the legendary protector of justice.
“Sir, there is a monster, it has the form of a...a hen. She slaughtered her way inside”, stammered Leon.
“And you decided to seek help, riiight. This...chicken, was too much for you?”, questioned Kizaru with a single raised eyebrow and pursed lips.
Leon would have heard the danger in Kizaru's tone if he could think rationally. “Yes sir, the hen was too strong for any of us.”
Kizaru pointed his finger at him, but whatever he wanted to do was stopped by the dreadful sound of metal claws scrapping on the metal floor.
Clack.clack.clak.
“Please sir, help!”, pleaded Leon. He crawled behind the tall man and made himself as small as possible while watching the corridor with wide, fearful eyes.
“Bough bough”, clucked the hen of death. She rounded the corner, spotted Kizaru and Leon and tilted her masked head to the side. Kizaru did the same.
“Sooooo this is the hen? I can't feel her aura. A strange hen indeeeed”, mused Kizaru. His finger changed its target and was now pointing at the hen. It started to glow in a yellow light and a sound that had a ping and rung like 'tsiuun', accompanied by a yellow laser shot towards the small bird.
The beam reached her in under a second and the corridor exploded. Leon got thrown back and small stones rained down on him. A cloud of dust was everything left of the place with the hen.
“You did it! Admiral, you killed it!”, cheered Leon.
Clack.clack.clack.
“Oh no, no no no!”, all cheer was gone now. Not even Kizaru's laser attack could kill this feathered demon.
The hen slowly walked out of the cloud, her feathers black as the darkest night, only the mask on her face was white. It almost looked like a skull for Leon. “How interestiinngg”, drawled Kizaru.
He followed the hen with his finger and an even brighter light began to shine on its tip. But suddenly, the hen vanished in a burst of speed. Reappeared in front of Kizaru's hand and a black wing raced down on his wrist.
Kizaru, who knew how Armament Haki looked like, wasn't going to underestimate a strange Zoan user with Armament Haki. Or, if not a Zoan user, one of Them. Especially not when it was strong enough to protect against his laser. He dematerialised his hand and moved it out of the way of the wing.
A blue ark shot out of from the tip of the hen's feathers and a trench in the wall and floor opened up. This Rankyaku was strong enough to cut reinforced steel.
Yet, Kizaru had no time to contemplate this, as he found himself flung through four walls. Courtesy of a clawed kick by the hen. His trip went through a living quarter, an armoury, a toilet and finally out of the base. He was only stopped by the massive siege walls of the base.
Kizaru laid there, contemplating for a moment, how a chicken could hit him so easily, and then stood out of the rubble. His shirt was ripped and a tiny bloody claw mark now visible on his stomach. His body then turned into light particles and raced back inside, only for a light to shine back out.
Mrs Chicken Wing, the hen of death, then walked out of the hole a mirror in her beak.
She dropped the mirror, clucked haughtily and turned back around, there were still Marines to kill. The explosion of one of the standard ships lighted her backside and showed her blood-soaked feathers in an eery glimmer.
Leon, who was too scared to move did not defend himself when Mrs Chicken Wing beheaded him with a swing of her wing.

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
