《Mosquito Hivemind Hell-Bent on World Domination (or Annoyance)》20: Heist Stage 1, Scouting

Ah, I've only ever been here once. Not a time I like thinking about, but that is behind me now. My life as a civilian was nothing but a prelude to my new life as a villain! Everything I had then, everybody I knew and everything I was, is all behind me.
But this is no time to reminisce about the past!
The hospital stands before me, tall and square and white. Boring. I can't wait to drench it in blood-! Perhaps I should do a Dexter and simply drop some of the blood-bags I'll collect atop it? Make it a bit colourful? Oh, the things I'd do if I had the time...!
Minions! Stand by, do not move! Remain at your altitude, do not react to any stimulus apart from any which may harm more than 50 mosquitos at once!
With that done, there is only one thing to do. As with my last, educational heist, I must scout out the area before I attempt anything. I will be doing this alone. Not only to remain undetected, but also to prove my strength. I must know, make myself understand, that I am powerful.
To fulfil this, I'll sadly have to leave my... "body-suit" outside. Ah, a bench! Perfect. And here, just on the side of the road, is an old newspaper! How perfectly quaint.
I grab the newspaper and sit down, happily noting how not a single one of my dearest subjects get squished by the motion. Ah well.
I flip open a random page and eject from my seat inside the head.
Steady, underlings, steady! You must now all keep this human shape, sitting perfectly still and relaxed, poised as if to read this very paper. If you are approached by a civilian, do not pay them any heed. Ignore their incessant babbling. If, however, a policeman or hero were to come too close... Burst. Disperse. Escape! But make sure that I am informed of this change in plan, is that understood?

The mosquito-avatar nods.
Good.
Now, onto more pressing matters. I will be... alone. Vulnerable. With stats like these, I doubt a normal human could harm me, yet... what is this fear I feel? This uncertainty-?
Let that be that! I have a mission to complete, a blood-storage to locate!
Ah, someone is entering! What a perfect opportunity for EVIL!
To be honest, flying around at speeds any higher than 50 kmh is, well nauseating. Even so, I catch up with the non-descript man in a quick moment, landing on his shoulder without making even the slightest sound. I'm less than the wind, less than a fart's fart.
I'm nothing.
The first thing inside the hospital is some sort of waiting area, complete with beige-brown sofas and magazines about completely uninteresting things such as gardening or, for the kiddies, comics. At this point, I have no more need for the sickly man, so I leave him, venturing into the unknown with as much trepidation as a cast-away prisoner who escaped from Australia to get revenge on the judge that put him there.
At the very end of the waiting area is a reception desk, starring a bored-looking nurse talking on the phone.
So, as one does, I ignored her completely, searching for something much more reliable. Namely, a chart of the hospital's layout. Which is, surprisingly quite easy to find. Simply off to the side, easy to see and evaluate for any hospital-goers or terrorists waiting to steal blood. As we all know, blood is a highly valuable resource.
Let's see what this thing has to say...
Hmm...
Yeah, this tells me exactly nothing. The second floor is just patient stuff, with the NICU and emergency care and all that, so I guess it should be on the first floor if anywhere. The first floor is mainly made up of various miscellaneous things. There's a lab, a cafeteria, a physical therapy area, a place where materials are managed, a courtyar-,

Wait. Material Management??
Oho. Ohohohohoho. Perfect! If that isn't the target, I don't know what is!
Okay, so, down the hall to the left, one turn to the right, and it'll be on the left. Great! Down the sterilized piss-white halls I go!
As much as I feel like I should have gotten lost in such a large facility, I didn't. There were pointers on every wall, and half-way there I even found another map, so I got there with as much ease as a penguin waddles. And once I got there, spotting the room where the blood is kept in was, somehow, even easier. The Material Management area is as large as the main lab (according to the map, that is) but finding my way to the blood was still extremely easy. It was right on the left, inside a room with a dark-blue door with a little window showing the inside.
...This is where I met trouble.
Y'see, as swell and open as this hospital is, some rooms aren't exactly, well... free-for-all. No, I can tell that this is the room, what with the large coolers and all the blood bags, but... not much more. I'm barred entry. The door is sealed shut behind a tight door and an id-scanner. Sure, I'm a mosquito, I could just enter through an air vent, but... I'm planning on stealing entire bags full of blood, right?
How the hell do I do that if the door is closed??
In other words, I need to get my hands on a damn id. Without that, I won't even be able to get into the room itself!
...In other words, I have an id to steal.

UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.
