Been a while hasn't it guys?

I feel like it is overdue that I explain myself and tell you what happened and as to why I suddenly disappeared without a trace to the point that Snake would be proud of me. (Literally haven't logged back in this account for ages either T-T)

So, the big question first. The elephant in the room that we all have been glancing at, will I drop Azalon?

NO

I told you guys that I had big plans for this story and wanted to finish it and that is the truth.

So don't worry, I will not drop it.

As many of you might know I started writing Azalon because I wanted this story to actually make it on the market as a book which I still do. While I was writing it I mentioned a few times that I didn't have a job or income to speak of and went in a somewhat roundabout way as to how I am able to afford my rent and food.

Well at the time I stopped posting here it was pretty bad.

I knew that writing was taking up a lot of my time so I had to make a choice, either focus all my energy and time on getting a job or land on the streets.

It wasn't easy and I hated myself (still do) for not telling you guys all of this earlier but it wouldn't have really helped anyone and I am not the kind of person that would ask the kind people that donate out of their own free will and because they appreciate the story to do it because I need the money.

It is just not who I am.

One of the reasons I kept quiet and only now came back is because I now have a job that allows me to afford a few things (finally).

I wanted to come back, knowing that I would never have to leave you guys stranded like this again because Real Life is being a bitch.

Oh, I also got a gf and then shortly after broke up with her so I guess that also delayed my return a bit but no worries I have said goodbye to social life once again (more like flicked it off) and am now back here with you.

Now then, lets talk about what will happen to the story.

I always continued to write here and there and improved it quite a bit but it turns out I underestimated this sucker by a lot as especially the early chapters are cringeworthingly bad in my opinion (and yes I know that is not a word btw but you get the point).

I will continue to finalize the earlier chapters of the story as they were never meant to stay that way anyways, I am also going to add a few things that I learned/overlooked while writing it so I would recommend a re-read after all is done, don't worry I will tell you which chapters have already been reworked in future updates and new chapters so you don't have to search for it yourself.

I am going to get back into the storyline and continue re-writing and creating new chapters and the next actual new chapter is going to appear on here on Monday (I will also post with it my new schedule on when I post new chapters.)

Another thing that many people will probably hate me for (lets hope not XD) is that I have been itching to start writing another story and I have mentioned this before.

See, here is the thing guys.

In my opinion there are 2 types of writers, the passion writers and the planned writers (that is what I call them)

Passion writers have a spark of insight, a glimpse of a story that fills their insides with a burning desire to write it down, a need to expand on this spark and let it grow into a fire. It can literally happen that you just write for about 4 hours straight and the end product even without proofreading is already excellent.

Planned writers slowly build a story from the bottom up and will have scheduled times when they write.

They will be able to lay down the groundwork for the story and then have to continuously improve and add things each chapter until it reaches a certain quality. This type of writing is a lot slower and needs constant improvement otherwise it can be pretty shallow.

Now to actually write you will need both passion and planning but I am more the former and when I get this spark I just have to write even when I know which way my story is going to go and what I want to add. Without this spark I can still write but it is a lot less enjoyable and makes the entire thing pretty stale.

With a gigantic project like Azalon it is not easy to always find this spark of passion and because of my earlier schedule (which was pretty much 1 chapter each day) I couldn't wait for that moment to happen so it was more the later with a little bit of passion.

I have discovered that after taking a little break and concentrating on another story it helps me find that spark a lot easier for Azalon which in turn makes it more enjoyable and gives you guys a better quality (also I really want to write this story that has been wandering around in my head for a while now).

So in the end I have decided to start this little pet project of mine while still focusing most of my attention on Azalon (as I said I ain't ever dropping it lol).

I hope this helped some of you lurkers out there that have been craving and hoping for some more of Azalon.

It is honestly a surprise and joy for me that there is so many of you that PM'd me while I was gone, asking if I was alright while at the same time I could see how many seemed to love Azalon more than even I do.

Thank you everyone for reading this story and for your support, it means a lot to me even when I don't always say it but reading your comments really is a treat for sore eyes and brings me a lot of happiness.
