《The Infinite Labyrinth》94. Interlude: Konisit, USA Gate Outpost
Advertisement
Konisit had quickly become a popular zone once it had been found out. Seven connections, three to tier five zones, four to tier four ones. And what’s more, all within two hours walking of the middle Gate.
As a result, Konisit Post had started with people moving the central Plaza Recall stone, and grown steadily. It wasn’t going to rival the General Meadow in tier one next to the Gate to Manhattan, but it had most of everything. Including regular markets, a post office, and semi-permanent lodgings for a variety of teams, such as Sylvia Underwood’s.
Right now, said Precise Ancillary Underwood was rolling a message into a ball and throwing it into the wall in rage.
Dear Miss Underwood,
I am sorry to be unable to help at this time.
I did, indeed, deal with trophy orbs, but the market has been recently very good, and I am now out of stock.
The Hamleys branch of the London store has apparently found British collectors particularly fond of the globes from the Labyrinth, thinking them very pleasant, and offered good prices for all of my supply.
I would have pointed you to Markand and Sons, who deal in various curios, but I do not think they have any right now.
Should I happen to get new stock, I will, of course, notify you and we can discuss a price. These novelties have always had a limited interest, but with the British Isles entering the market, that might be changing.
Yours sincerely,
Elazaro Peres.
Collectors and pleasant items, bah. Sylvia could smell the cowshit from across an ocean and nine zones away.
Markand and Sons were also out of stock. She had asked recently, and the two they had had for over a year in front of the store she’d passed every so often in Manhattan were gone. Purchased by “a British gentleman”.

The damned British had found something. Almost certainly with that boy’s damned descriptor vision. She had been right that day. There was something about the orbs that didn’t immediately come out. And now, the English Professionals knew about it, and they were trying to capitalize on it before the world came aflame with the news or something.
She’d moved slowly on her own. The prices, as implied, had been good. Such an artefact from the Labyrinth fetched collector prices, indeed, of over forty silver dollar apiece. She’d purchased on her own funds four of those after she’d grabbed the Feathered Serpent one her team had handed her.
She might not know what they were good for, but now, she was certain at last that they were good for something.
All that remained was to find out what.
She grabbed a paper and quill and sat at the team’s main table.
Now… how to make him divulge what secrets he was keeping close. He’d been eager to speak about his new chest descriptors, but would he be willing to tell her about this new development? She sighed. So… how to formulate it.
Honesty? Would it even work?

TM: Monster
He died and his soul travelled across the void and ended up taking over the body of a member of one of the weakest races ever. Even worse than a goblin or slime. It was ok though, as long as he had a positive mental attitude, he could live a happy life… Nope. Interdimensional wars? An all-powerful cosmic entity called the System that will grant all your wishes for a price? Survival of the fittest? In a universe far different from his old one he will reach the Zenith. (TM stands for transmigrated which is different from reincarnation. At the very least I have my own idea on the difference between the two) (Yes the title is a play on Re:Monster which is my first light novel)

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".

A Curious Case of Mobs Extra
A depiction of a life of a guy name Mobs Extra in a mishmash western eastern fantasy world with a slightly RPG like system.A story of transmigrated ordinary office guy into an ordinary young boy with average cultivation talent in a mid-size sect. With a passion of reading cheap online free novels, Mobs steer the ups and downs of the cultivation life in the sect without forgetting to avoid the plot armor of those guys called "Main Characters".A story of a world thousands of times bigger than our earth. A world of unknown and unexplored. A world of wonders and marvels. A world of cultivations, magics, and magical beast. A world of might and strength, a world of plot armor and the death of extra characters as a stepping stone for them to grow and for plot progress.P/S: I'm not an English speaker and grammar is not my main strength. Do comment on my mistake and I will edit it as soon as possible. The chapters are never been read by editors, only me reading it 6 to 7 times to find mistakes and awkward sentences. So the mistake will be plenty. Comment for mistakes and criticism are encouraged. P/S 2: No promise on update!!!

The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons
