Dan mindlessly selected the yes option while he sat in class. It was the first period of the day, and the teacher was once again going over some random math formula. Dan had too much on his mind to actually pay attention though.

Personal Traits

Mental Traits
Special Traits
He decided to go down the list of his regular traits first, pulling them up rapidly one after the other. He’d had these powers less than a week, but he’d gotten used to them quite quickly.
Personal Traits
Sexual Orientation (current) - Straight
Happiness- 59/100
Self Esteem- 51/100
Ambition- 58/100
Compassion- 58/100
Charisma- 48/100
Physical Traits
Health- 90/100
Stamina- 49/105
Strength- 1/100
Dexterity- 1/100
Constitution- 1/100
Mental Traits
Mental Health – 77/100
Intelligence – 1/100
Wisdom – 1/100
Aptitude – 6/100
Mental Fortitude- 5/100
As he’d noticed in the morning, his stats had gone up slightly from the training he’d undergone the day before. Looking at the stats now, he could also see the small progress bars under each one, indicating if he was gaining experience towards the next level in them. Already, he noticed his physical traits, that is strength, dexterity, and constitution, were all being worked on. Which made sense, considering the morning he’d had. Additionally, it seemed his aptitude was gaining experience as well, likely also from his morning training.
The others, seemed rather unchanged, but he was certain intelligence and wisdom would gain more experience throughout the school day. After all, that was kind of the point of school, right? Other than, oh he didn’t know, perhaps effecting the self esteem of teenagers. He glared at that stat…it had been so close to climbing into the 60s, which was going to put it closer to what he guessed would be his next big bonus at 75. And now…after the day he’d been having, it was almost back down below 50. He had a feeling Self Esteem was going to be a stat would be really hard to maintain.
Letting out a sigh over that fact, he pulled up his Special Traits, curious to see how his tennis skills had fared during the practice match. He’d been so focused on the match, he’d been ignoring messages as they floated across his screen. Which…had backfired considering one of them surely would have told him when his buff was running out. One second, he’d been making returns easily, the next, he missed like three balls in a row, realizing only a moment later that it had to have been the limit of the buff.

Special Traits
Tennis
Forehand (Semi-Western) 6
Top Spin (tennis feature) 4
Basic Serve 1
Apparently, he’d gained a level in both Forehand and Top Spin. He was eager to get his Forehand skill to an actual level 10, noting there had been a huge difference, in his mind, between the effectiveness of the level 10 skill, and being sub level 10. In fact, he figured the benchmark was 10s for these tennis skills, meaning he would notice significant jumps in the skill at those benchmarks. That was just a guess, of course, but he figured it was correct. Hopefully, he would be able to confirm his theory during practice today. After all, his stamina should refresh by then, and if he got to level 5 just in a single day, there was no reason he couldn’t climb to 10 today.
Having analyzed himself though, he took a deep breath, and decided to check on what actually had been on his mind. Probably the most helpful portion of his power, if he was begin honest with himself, at this moment. A skill that was irreplaceable…and probably something that could be abused in the wrong hands.
Relation Monitor (Nonexistent, Poor, Neutral, Good, Excellent)
Matthew Meadows- Excellent
??? (Syn)- Nonexistent
Ashley Johnson- Neutral
Sophia Hart- Good
Peter Young- Good
Looking at the quick list of individuals on his monitor, Dan felt his heart speed up as two things caught his eye. First, his relationship with Sophia was Good. That, was a good thing. Second, his relationship with Peter had changed from Neutral to Good. Whatever he was doing, he was doing it right. Still, the monitor didn’t give him all that much information. And he still wasn’t sure what all would affect his relationships with people. And on top of that, what having better relationship levels actually meant and attributed. In games such things usually effected interactions, with high or really low ratings unlocking special interactions. If he got his relationship with Sophia to Excellent, would he be able to ask her out? Or was good…good enough? Dan sighed. There was still a lot left to learn. That begin said…
Sophia Hart
Age- 16
Relation- Classmate
Occupation- Student/Tennis Player

“Duh.” Dan said quietly aloud, before realizing he was speaking. The student in front of him turned backwards, offering him a confused look, before shaking their head and turning back towards the teacher. Dan noticed the teacher’s eyes narrow, but he kept on with his lecture. Dan had a feeling he was going to be getting called upon shortly for his lapse in judgement, better be quick with what he was doing. He quickly opened up Sophia’s information.

…
Just like with Peter, she had a long list of traits. Dan was starting to feel rather self-conscious about his lack of spiffy traits. Damned Prep school kids.
-1 Self Esteem (50). Damnit.
Before he could accidently drop his points anymore, he selected her Tennis Traits. Now that he had a few, he could at least see somewhat how they compared.
Tennis
Forehand (Semi-Western) - Medium
Top Spin (tennis feature) - Medium
Basic Serve – High

And just like with Peter, she had a long list of ???s for her traits. Say what people would about the sport, but Dan was seriously impressed with how many different skills there were within the sport. With his abilities only at Rank 1, the information provided to him wasn’t all that helpful. After all, a three tiered system didn’t help him much. His guess was low ranged from 0-33, Medium was 34-66, and High was 67 and above. Which meant she had at least a 34 in her Forehand and Top spin traits, and at least a 67 in Basic Serving. In other words…she’d done a lot of training over time, but just how much, was still impossible to tell. Until his ability ranked up, it was going to be difficult for Dan to actually utilize the Relationship monitor to compare himself to his peers.
All in all though, he’d gotten out of it what he wanted. Not only had he gotten to see a glimpse of what the skills and their appropriate levels would be like in action, he also now knew some of her hobbies, judging by her list of skills. Meaning he now had additional things to speak with her about, in an effort to raise his relationship with her even higher. Just like in a dating simulation game, he was going to use this knowledge to his advantage, to try and win Sophia over.
+1 Ambition (59) -1 Compassion (57)
Dan shook his head at that progress. Was it really lacking compassion, to use this information to his advantage? Honestly he wasn’t sure. Hell, there wasn’t a moral code related to having such skills in the real world. After all, powers like what he had just didn’t exist. They were things that belonged in video games, anime, and novels. And yet, here he was. He didn’t ask to get hit by a freaking truck. That had hurt, a lot. And so it was only right he use these powers…right?
Atta’ boy Danny. Syn’s voice whispered, faintly in his mind. Embrace what you’ve been given. A second later, another prompt flashed across his vision, just as he saw the teacher’s eyes lock on him, the instructor smiling evilly. There was an equation on the board in front of him, with a ? at the end of it. He knew what was coming next. So only had a split second to read what flashed across his vision. And…in doing so, his mind broke with excitement. So much so, that even though he completely flubbed his answer to the question, his self esteem didn’t take a drop. After all, what he’d just read, was much more exciting.
Parameters for ascension met: Upgrade to Rank 2 will unlock after next long rest.

Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
