《The Dungeon Hive》Part 41- The Solution

The Speaker was in the Kar Forest when she sensed the coming arrival of the messenger. The Speaker was not surprised. Since the Creator gave birth to another crystal, things had been hectic in the tunnels. The Speaker was taking, in her view, a well-deserved break.
The Speaker was in her human form, sitting on the ground and leaning against a big oak tree. Ignoring the coming messenger, she looked up at the tree with a smile on her face. Seeing the sunshine coming through the leaves always gave her the feeling of peace, and peace and quiet are things in short supply for her nowadays.
A few moments later, her break was over. The scent told her who was coming but the Speaker did not get up. Instead she sighed and tried her best to relax. There would be times for anxiety later. The Speaker looked at the direction where the scent was coming from and a short while later, the scent she caught arrived.
The harpy was gliding in the air slowly lowering herself to the ground. Just before she reached the ground, she began flapping her wings. The Speaker silently sighed and enjoyed the wind as it flowed past her.
“Speaker, please come back to the cave.” The harpy said the moment she landed. ”There’s…something only you can help with.”
The Speaker smiled at the young and responsible harpy known as Moro. “Please tell me it’s the dogs.”
The wince that came to the young harpy’s face told her everything she needed to know. The Speaker got up and began walking. Moro walked with her at first but the Speaker would have none of that. “Don’t worry, go ahead and fly. I know you flyers prefer to fly out here than in the tunnels. I can get back to the tunnels myself.”
The young harpy gave the Speaker a guilty smile but didn’t stay to argue. The Speaker watched the harpy flew off towards the Keg Mountains and knew that young Moro was probably flying towards the…nest the harpies had setup somewhere on Middle Keg. It’s an open secret that most of the creatures created by the Creator had set up homes outside the tunnels. When it first started, many of them wondered how the Creator would react but since the Creator had not said anything about the issue, the Speaker believed the Creator don’t really have a problem with the various creatures setting up their own homes.

Especially since all of them were located near the tunnel. Though the Speaker had never visited any of them, she knew the general location of most. The harpy nest was on Middle Keg; the Crowmen had their home in the Kar Forest; and the Ratlings had one in the forest as well though theirs was an underground warren. The Werewolves basically just roamed the Kar Forest and had several outposts in the forest, but the Angels had a site high up on Big Keg. It seemed that the Creator had given the Angels high resistance to the cold and they had used the ability to good advantage by building their home high up on the mountains. If rumours were to be believed, the site was actually at the very top of Big Keg!
The Speaker was once again amazed by the foresight of the Creator. The harpies may have more natural weapons like teeth and claws, but what the Angels lacked was compensated by unnaturally high resistance to the wind and the cold. They even had an unnaturally fast self-healing ability! Creator was truly a being beyond comprehension. That unfortunately make what she’s about to face that much more difficult.
The Speaker reached the entrance of the tunnels. There was a small clearing around the entrance and while it was usually free of creatures, today there was a bunch of them milling around. Several of the creatures stood up when they saw her and the Speaker greeted them with a polite nod. She walked past the group into the tunnel.
The first floor only had a few Steamed Wolves stationed on it at random intervals though most of them in the two rooms before the Boss Room. The wolves ignored the Speaker and she walked on without incident. The second floor was dark, filled with ceiling traps, bats and spiders. With her Enhanced Sight that allowed her to see in the dark, the Speaker had no problem and no fear as she passed through the creatures. She went down to the third floor and felt it.
The ground was shaking and it was bad. She saw some small pebbles dropping from the ceilings and the Speaker quickened her steps. With all the shaking, the creatures had abandoned the third floor save one. The Speaker couldn’t help but smile when she passed through the room of the Porkasus.

The stupid-looking flying pig had taken up residence in one of the rooms of the third floor and was flying around the room, oblivious to the shaky. The pig landed and gave her a friendly oink as the Speaker walked past. The Speaker bended down and patted the pig on the head. The Porkasus’ skin almost glowed with pinkness and its wings were white as snow. More importantly, it also looked like it was constantly having fun just flying around aimlessly. The Porkasus may be just a pig but it was the cutest pig anyone had ever seen and a constant source of fun for the other creatures of the Creator.
The Speaker walked on. As she got closer to the last room, the shaking got worse. Steeling herself, she walked into the room and saw the cause of the shaking. The two Creators who were both floating on the stone platform.
The Speaker went forward, knelt and bowed her head to the ground. In her human form, the bowing came more naturally and she waited. The shaking slowly subsided as the Creators took notice of her.
*Wolfgirl, you are here.*
Not for the first time, the Speaker wondered if she should ask the Creator to call her by her title, the Speaker, and not for the first time she dismissed the suggestion. The Creator could call her whatever it wanted.
“Great Creators, the ground was shaking. Your creatures wonder what they have done to anger their great Creators?” A silence reigned in the room before the Creator answered.
*Again, tell the creatures they had done nothing to anger us. We are well.*
The Speaker sensed the words were coming from the new Creator. The words were fierier and the Speaker sensed a wave of heat from the words. The Speaker raised her head and looked at the two Creators. The second Creator looked mismatched against the main one. It was much smaller, was red in colour, and do not have the 5 floating lights around it. Yet the Speaker could sense the potential power from it and knew that with time, the second Creator would be a power that rivalled anything in this world.
“This creature is pleased the Creators are not angry but the ground was shaking again. Please Creators, how may your creatures assist you? Is there anything we could do to help?”
The silence this time was longer and the Speaker could strangely sense that the two Creators were speaking to each other, probably on a plane far beyond the sense of lesser beings like her. Then one of the Creators spoke; this time it was the main Creator.
*Tell the creatures there is no fault on them. This is our problem. Our…proximity to each other is giving us some issues.* The Speaker began blinking furiously at this news and the Creator continued. *Again, this is nothing to worry about. We are well.*
The Speaker began to think quickly. The main Creator said the problem was due to their proximity to each other and the Speaker could believe that. The Creator was so powerful it could create new creatures whenever it wanted, so having two of them together…however, shouldn’t the solution be simple?
“If that’s the case, Great Ones, may this humble creature suggest one of the Creators moved down to the fifth floor? If you are further away from each other, maybe the shaking would stop.”
Once again the Speaker felt the two Creators speaking to each other. The silence this time was long but productive. When the Creator spoke, it agreed to move down to the fifth floor. The Speaker released the breath she didn’t know she had been holding. She only hoped the distance between the two Creators would be enough. If not…the Speaker would rather not think about that.

Cornucopia of Hope
The graduating class of Hope's Peak Academy has been kidnapped sometime after their graduation ceremony. They wake up in a beautiful, plush mansion with no idea where they could be other than the name Our Mansion of Plenty. The physical barriers of steel plates and locked doors might not be enough to cage them, if it weren't for the malicious mechanical fairy calling itself The Fey and ruling their new lives with an iron--albeit tiny--fist. While being kidnapped is bad enough, the fact that this fairy brat is telling them to kill each other is definitely worse. Apparently, murdering one of your fellow victims is the only way to get out of this luxurious mansion. But nobody would do that...right? Cornucopia of Hope is a non-canon killing game completely alienated from the the canon universe of the Danganronpa games. The things borrowed from the games are as followed: Hope's Peak Academy, and the structure of 16ish hyper-skilled teenagers trapped in an enclosed space and being subjected to a motive, a murder, an investigation, a trial, and an execution of the presumed killer. There are no spoilers, tie ins, or previous knowledge required of the series to read this story!
