---Syranas POV----
As Syrana pulled her hand back with a joyful smirk on her face as she hated Avrin for hurting the forest. And even more so for bringing the Sylphs bad luck. She was about to throw the menacing rock towards him. She had his head in her sights. But then stopped and blinked as she gazed at him, her body freezing not by an ability but by being unintentionally mesmerized.
At that moment, before she stopped, Avrin had moved his hand, caressing it through his own hair as he lifted his head up, the moonlight glistening off the water as well as his toned body.
Syrana had never realised it earlier due to her hate, but she now understood Avrin was incredibly handsome, if not insanely attractive. It was as if the gods had combined an Angel and Elf as well as Demon into one, all 3 being the most attractive races to a degree.
She gulped as her mouth didn't make sound, her arm lowering as she admired his abs as well as what seemed to be perfectly toned pectoral muscles. His body seemed perfectly shaped and there wasn't a single negative quality.
She had wondered about her own love life as she pervertedly admired Avrin from the tree. “I've never really had a love life. I’ve been to busy with my own personal training as well as protecting the forest….”
She somewhat face palmed as her cheeks brightened up a deep cherry red as she gazed at Avrin again, who was currently using some sort of ribbon to tie back his hair. “W...Why is it him I feel this way towards?...He has brought nothing but bad luck for me…”
Her lips parted as her mouth slipped open slightly, as if she were about to drool. The reason being Avrin getting closer to shore revealing more of his lower body. Syrana was hungry for more but also deeply disgusted about feeling attracted to someone she detested.
------Avrins POV--------
He sighed as he raised his head, trying to wash his hair as he struggled a bit “It would be a lot easier if I had shampoo...Argh, I’d get a haircut but I’m sure long hair suits this body more. I look like a girl” He irritatingly spoke to himself as he continued to wash his body with a makeshift scrub he had formed several times during his training, as a sort of recycle method.
Avrin then shivered. “I feel like I'm being watched..That whore better not be doing anything..Never mind, I'm done” He spoke to himself as he began to make his way to shore. He blinked as he felt something closing in on him. Before he had revealed his entire lower half, a figure dropped a few meters away on the shore. He nearly instantly gazed at it and then made a ‘huh?’ like gesture.
The figure was none other than Syrana who called out while pointing her finger at him. “Avrin, it seems even though you are despicable and a black cloud constantly hangs around you, the only quality you seem to have in my eyes is your a...attractive body…”
Avrin was quiet as he tried to figure out just what was going on. He then snapped out of it as he realised Syrana was eyeing him up and down with a sort of predator look. He had been holding his anger for a long time and he felt it was necessary to release a little frustration. He called out while still keeping his manner.

“Hah!.. I knew you were bad Syrana, but I never knew you were also a pervert.” Avrin began to laugh as he backed away into the shore a bit. “Do me a favor and keep away from me. Also, stop staring at me, I feel like I’ll need to wash myself again..”
Syrana snapped out of her perverted gaze and heard Avrin's words as a vein popped on her forehead. “You despicable… I am NOT a pervert! Y..You are the only perverted one here…!! “ Syrana who was still clutching the rock from before at that moment threw it towards Avrin who seemed to notice it. Regardless it was still a throw from an expert fighter and was quite fast. As if its speed was faster than an arrow.
Avrin emitted a nebula mist in front of him that seemed to seep from his body like an aura. The rock hit against it and before it even passed through it seemed to disintegrate. This technique was called Shadow Aura and this was only one of the many uses it had.
“Syrana, I can't imagine what you were doing with that rock...And if I put the fact that you were perving on me earlier I can only put two and two together and say that you were intending to throw it at me while I was occupied…” Avrin glared at her as he raised his arm, augmenting it to a halfway point.
Syrana who took a step back wasted no time getting in a battle position, but not withdrawing her bow. Wanting to prove to Avrin that she could also counter what he threw at her. “Avrin, let me show you the difference between us. I won't need your corrupt magic to stop whatever attack you throw at me…”
Avrin seemed to glare at her. The fact that his attractive body was still revealed no longer bothered Syrana as she felt the danger he currently posed was more so than before.
Avrin used the nebula mist to form an exact replica of the rock she had thrown at him. But Avrin kept walking deeper into the water as if gaining more distance. Syrana blinked “Planning on running away are you?.. Hah, I knew you couldn't do it..”
As she began to lower her guard Avrin chuckled and like a baseball player who had half his body submerged in water he threw the rock towards her with his half augmented hand as the pressure emitted a mini sonic boom that caused the water near Avrin to split as if screaming as the rock was crumbling bit by bit under the pressure while heading towards Syrana.
The water splitting in two as it emitted a screeching sound as if a banshee was being tortured. Syrana was frozen with fright at the ferocity of his attack, she remembered when she was casually able to nearly kill Avrin when he had formed into a demon like monster, but with only a hand that half resembled it, he was able to release such a disastrous attack with a rock. How strong had he gotten? How did he get this powerful to begin with? And just how much potential did he have?
Syrana, with fright, covered her hands as she took up a sort of cowering pose. But as the rock reached her, unable to take the pressure any longer, it disintegrated and only the pressure of the air that lingered blew Syrana back into a bunch of bushes.
Avrin gave a smirk as the water still shook, slowly calming down “That will teach you to perv on someone.. So much for a Sigil wielder..” Avrin began to make his way to another portion of the shore.

As he got closer he felt a large killing intent approach him from afar. Syrana, with near lightning speed, pounced out into the air towards him as he blinked and gazed up. She seemed quite angry in his eyes. Syrana pounced on Avrin as she grabbed him by his shoulders, trying to wrestle him under water as if wanting to drown him.
Avrin tried to push her away as if she were some sort of parasite. “G..Get away from me you crazy bitch!!” Syrana only roared her reply as she continued to wrestle in the water with him, her clothes getting wet. But she cared not “I'm not crazy you bastard!!! You almost killed me!!”
All of a sudden another figure approached the shore line and called out to them. “Teacher!! Avrin!! What are you both doing!!!!?”
Avrin and Syrana suddenly stopped, but the position they stopped in didn't do the sight any justice. With Syrana’s hands on his shoulders and Avrin’s hands on her waist just barely above the water. Syrana was the first to speak. “A..Ayame this isn't what it..looks like..”
Ayame spoke “T..Teacher, I t..thought you hated him...Y..You had these sorts of feelings for someone like him?..” Avrin felt like he was being looked down on. “Ayame...She’s right. Besides, who would want to be with a crazy wild women like her…” He grinned as he let go of her while turning his back.
“Wild what??!!” Syrana pounced on his back as she pulled his hair. Avrin glared as he was pushing her off but it seemed to hurt more. He would skewer her had it not been for the fact that he had use for her. As well as her relation to Shimaru. They both stopped as Ayame spoke.
“T..Teacher…” Ayame glared and pointed her finger. “If you are revealing your feelings for Avrin than you lied to me. Therefore I lied to you to!! I also have feelings for him and I don't plan to lose to you...E..Even if..y..you’re stronger..But I won’t..g...give up” Tears began to well up in her eyes as she ran off into the bushes.
Syrana called out to her as she got off Avrin and got closer to shore, her clothing dripping wet as it stuck to her body more so. “Ayame wait!!” She then shot daggers at Avrin who seemed to be laughing. “You bastard!! See what you did?!” Avrin, still laughing, spoke “Hahahaha, wow I never imagined she would actually have feelings for me.
There is a saying that if a woman treats you bad it means she likes you, but I would never be one to believe that. But two times in one night? What an interesting night.” He grinned at Syrana who seemed to be blushing with anger as well as embarrassment.
“S..Say what you want, but I only find you attractive because of your body, n..nothing more.” Avrin grinned again. “Oh that’s fine with me. Like me if you want, but don't perv on me again..And do me a favor, try not to sneak into my bed at night” He gave a wink as he had finally been able to piss her off. It had made him joyful to the point of him breaking his personality to an extent.
Syrana only huffed and stomped away in the direction Ayame went off in. Avrin finally got out of the water as he began to dry himself with a towel he prepared earlier. “Women of this world are indeed interesting. Although if someone like her likes me for my appearance, this may be troublesome. If I ever enter a place such as Gaia Academy I’ll need to work on a way to change it. I wonder if its even possible with magic, let alone my ability”
Avrin pondered this even after he finished redressing and made his way back to the tent. He had intended to kick them both out but felt he shouldn't make things worse after tonights commotion. He could already sleep happily.
As he approached the camp area he saw Ayame in Syrana’s arms, hugging her somewhat tearily. Syrana was currently wearing a second attire that was more revealing, like shorts and a sort of tank top with the cleavage area open. Her wet clothing was drying near the campfire. Avrin whistled a tune as he made his way into the tent with a smile that made Syrana gaze away with anger. She knew he had gotten the last laugh.
Ayame paid no mind as she tried to believe her teacher’s words, but it seems like the cat was out of the bag, and she had told Avrin how she felt. As Avrin entered his section of the pod tent, he grabbed the zipper to the rooms entrance and closed it for even more privacy. He emitted his aura and coated the material around the room with it, making it thicker as well as more protective.
Avrin then began to form the manual that Shimaru gave him, as the jokeful nature of the night had ended. He was truly eager to know what techniques the manual had. It seemed forming it took nearly no time at all, as 5 minutes had passed and he was currently reading it while admiring the positions as well as stances in the manual.
“Dragons Sweep: An ability that manifests internal mana with body strength in a leg to create a pull in the air bringing opponents closer as well as crushing their bodies with the strength of the attack. If they are uninjured by that, it can be followed up by a Claw of the Dragon, an attack that is commenced after the Dragons Sweep.
The Dragons Sweep, in general, after being used, spins your body to use the Claw of the Dragon. You need to take into account the strength of the opponents resistance to your attack, as it may take longer or shorter. Therefore, the Claw of the Dragon needs to be timed, but the result is deadly.
It uses the force of the Dragons Sweep to become even deadlier than it would be if used without channeling your internal mana and body strength in a hand with all fingers extended like a claw thrust into the opponents body transmitting the force into them. This combination can result in a one blow kill.”
Avrin was amazed in a sense. These attacks sounded like abilities from a cartoon, but after reading the finer description that stated that training as well as methods of the Pulsing Dragon needed to use these techniques as well as the perfect angle of the sweep and spin as well as the timing. It sounded more technical.
“This sounds like quite a lot of fun but it’s also incredible. I wonder what sort of result I’ll be able to create, if any at all, with dark matter. Dark matter also has the ability to manipulate gravity and magnetism, but I know I'm still far from that. I can't fathom how dangerous it would be if I added that kick to the Dragons Sweep”
Avrin was fantasising about the possibilities of imbuing his power with techniques that required mana. He knew that alone made this world even more so enjoyable. But practice makes perfect. He was eager to train these, but he would need to master the basic stances first.
“It seems the manual does well to link attacks that work better with each other such as Dragons Sweep and Claw of the Dragon, but they also have a level of ability marked by the power rank needed to use these abilities to their fullest.” Avrin had suddenly remembered something. “That’s right, I have yet to know what I rank as. If I remember correctly, there is something called a spirit stone that measures ability...I truly want one..”
Avrin had a lot to do when he had taken the time to think about it. There was also so much to see. He stood up after he had been reading for a good 20 minutes and exited his room. He made his way out as he turned to see Ayame in her section practicing her meditation. She seemed to block everything out. He had no desire to annoy her as he respected that she was using the Pulsing Dragon.
He made his way outside and saw Syrana getting dressed as she was putting her large boots on. He blinked and grinned as he folded his arms. He wanted to tease her a bit more as it was too tempting to resist. “But you know Syrana, you look quite beautiful yourself…” Syrana blinked as she had not noticed Avrin until he spoke. As she stopped and looked up at him a bit confused before her face flushed deeply “Y...You shut up! Your words are like poison...And stop staring at me!”
Avrin chuckled quietly as he went off to the large sack he had forgot to take inside. He then went to it and took it and approached the fire near Syrana, but opposite her side, and sat down near it. As if keeping warm. “Unfortunately I have a“ He coughed before continuing “Favor to ask you….” Syrana stopped again as she was now fixing her top.
She was often used to being around warriors on the elven side when they put equipment on, as they never really admire each other in moments of equipment, as when they did put their equipment on, it meant serious training or battle.
Syrana tilted her head and grinned as she shut her eyes, fixing her top. “I’ve little desire to help you, but I'm curious to know what it is. Maybe I’ll consider it..” Avrin let out a playful sigh and spoke “I’m sure you know that there is something used to measure ability, I think they’re called spirit stones...I'm currently in need of one. Do you know where I can get one from?”
Syrana was a little dumbstruck, but chuckled “That’s right, you haven't had the chance to get one. But then again, unless you go to a capital city or a special place, you won't be able to get your own. But I have one.” She finished putting her clothing on and held her right hand out as mana began to emit from her hand and formed a prismatic diamond like object that seemed to be a dark brass color.
Avrin let out an awe like sound “So that’s what it looks like” He stood up and approached it curiously. “Although its a little small….I expected yours would be a bit more...Uhh, appealing?” He spoke, not intentionally mocking her. “Idiot…” Syrana spoke as the stone turned back into mana and went into her body.
“All inactive spirit stones are that size. If mine was active it would be much better...But I don't plan to show you...Besides, this is all I'm telling you. I've nothing to gain by helping you, nor do I want to. You're lucky Myra even allowed this to happen.”
Avrin tilted his head, a little doubtful about it, as he wanted to see it some more. “Uhh I’m sorry, I’m sorry“ He then smiled and thought. “Well then a trade is in order… For letting me examine the spirit stone you possess, name something you would like in return?”
Syrana who had been tending to the previously mashed paste from before that seemed to have been formed into a cookie like shape, raised her head with interest as she then grinned evilly and turned to look at Avrin. “Ohhh?...” She spoke almost seductively.. “Something I want in return from you..Heh...Hehehe...Heh..”
Avrin began to sweat a bit. He knew he should have gave her a set item instead of offering her a choice. With a women like her, who despises him as well as finds his body alone attractive, who knows what sort of disheartening thing she may ask of him.
“Very well… There is something I've been wanting from you, and ever since what happened in that lake, my interest is even more peaked….What I want from you, Avrin, is…”

The Arcane Gunslinger
A lazy celestial being's mistake leads to Sergeant William Remington, a decorated member of the Coalition Marines, to be placed into a new body. His old life aboard the Valkyrie, an interstellar destroyer has also been replaced as he finds his new body in an unknown world. Where he learns of magic, skills, the system, helhorses, and slinging lead with ancient revolvers. Initially, he is skeptical of his new norm but the desire to survive leads him to try to earn a living while he figures out what just happened to his life. He's a fighter but far from the elite, a grunt with some experience. But what better way than to fall back to what he's familiar with, weapons and going after criminals and rebels. With the added challenges of monsters. This is my first Litrpg writing. It's a wild west fantasy setting with the MC taking a role as a gun-slinging bounty hunter in a world of magic and monsters. Hope you enjoy it. UPDATES AT 3PM EST ON MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS! Warning. The story has a slow start because I'm trying to keep my MC realistic. It takes him some time to adjust to his new surroundings, start to make some friends, and really get into the swing of it. I kind of think it's dumb when an isekai's MC manages to blink twice and suddenly adapts to their new world without any sort of struggle or learning period. So not doing that but don't worry Will may be confused and a bit unfocused at first but he'll grow into his own. Also using it to practice my digital artwork... which is far from par but improving. Keep an eye on author notes for maps and depictions of monsters and characters.
