Ms. Samantha's Combat Rule #8

-Never fight fair against someone who is confident in his melee skills. Odds are, he is much better than you at it.

This was the thought that went to Theo's mind as he allowed himself to fall from the 70th floor.

Just because he was confident that he could win against the Tenjou group doesnt meant that he shouldnt fight by his own terms.

This was a 5 vs 1 battle against 3 melee specialists, 1 mage and 1 archer. Their numbers advantage alone was more than enough reason not to fight them head on.

And since he knew of their capabilities, he'd rather fight while expending as little energy as he can.

He had a bad feeling that the old samurai dude was going to go back on his word and enter the fray at somepoint.

And so he play his opening gambit which he liked to call the 'Mongolian Retreat'.

By jumping down the deep end, the Tenjou group thought that he was running away. Naturally, they decided to give chase.

"GET BACK HERE COCK SUCKER!" roared the twintailed spearwielding knight as she took the bait and went after Theo.

How predictable.

It was always the hot headed ones that were easy to manipulate.

As the 2 of them fell, Ms. Knight's body temperature suddenly shot up. A sign that magic was being activate.

She accelerated like a missile and closed the distance between them in less than a second.

Unfortunately for her, Theo was prepared.

Fun fact: Just because your body has accelerated, doesnt mean that your mind can keep up.

Theo both rounds of his double barrel supershotgun at Ms. Knight.

One of the bunker buster shell blew her entire left arm off while the other missed completely.

Even with Theo's cybernetic enhancements that assisted his accuracy, it was very hard to aim a target that moved as fast as Ms. Knight did.

The moment Ms. Knight entered melee range, Theo used his left arm to backfist her into a nearby floor.

He used the grappling guns on his back and safely land on another floor.

In that one short exchange, Theo fell from the 70th floor to the 38th.

Ms. Knight was on the 45th.

Before Theo could assess the situation, an arrow landed approximately 3 meters beside him.

"SHIT!" cursed Theo as he desperately dodge rolled out of the way.

Not a milisecond later, the one eyed samurai girl appeared in place of the arrow and swung her sword at Theo's previous position.

The ice queen archer's ability was called the 'Portal Arrow'. She enchants 2 arrows, one 'from' and one 'to' arrow. Whoever held the 'from' arrow will be teleported to the 'to' arrow.

The enchantment was one time use and she needed to reapply it every time she used it.

Nevertheless, it was a phenominal ability that granted the Tenjou group phenominal battlefield control.

Before Theo could recover from his dodgeroll, he immediately performed another one.

And just in time, for not a moment later, a barely visible force sliced through where he was. The ground and the wall that the force eventually came in contact with looked like it was cut by a sword.

Ms. Samurai remained where she was with her sword sheathed.

With one swift motion, she drew her sword and unleashed a slash that travelled way beyond her reach before sheathing the blade once again. Rinse and repeat.

This was the famed 'Kamaitachi' used by the Yagyu school of swordsmanship.

Fortunately for Theo, Ms. Samurai's power was nowhere near the old man's. His armor could probably take it.

Naturally, he has no intention of taking a hit just to test it out.

Theo immediately began his counter attack the moment he was able to get his footing together.

He faced Ms. Samurai while slowly retreating. Every time she unleashed the Kamaitachi, he would dodge it with minimal movement and fire a round at her while slowly retreating.

Like a boxer, he dodged like a butterfly and sting like an ARX 160.

Though Ms. Samurai's chi based defense was able to negate having a bullet punch through her flesh, she was still feeling quite a lot of pain.

Eventually, she was forced to abandon her attack and dive for cover.

Before Theo could capitalize, another one of Ms. Archer's landed behind him and Makoto suddenly appeared.

The stereotypical harem anime protagonist drew 2 different european longswords from his back and performed an X slash.

To Makoto's surprise, Theo recieved the 2 blades with his left arm. Even more surprising was that Theo's arm was still in one piece.

One does not simply slice through adamantium steel.

Theo responded by shooting Makoto on both legs.

As Makoto recoiled in pain, Theo grabbed him by the head and slammed it repeatedly into the concrete barrier. The force was so great that the barrier shattered after the 2nd time Makoto's head was slammed into it.

"MAKOTO!" screamed Ms. Samurai as she unleashed her Kamaitachi from her cover.

Naturally, Theo used Makoto as a shield.

It was quite funny to watch Ms. Samurai's reaction as her attack tore through her lover's flesh.

Speaking of Makoto, it seemed that the harem anime protagonist had a mana based regeneration instad of the martial arts' chi based damage negation.

The Kamaitachi did not kill him, but the open wounds should slow him down a couple of seconds.

Another of Ms. Archer's arrow landed in front of Theo and Ms. Twintailed Knight surging forth with a powerful spear thrust that smashed into Theo's left hand, forcing him to release Makoto.

Theo used his left arm to block a violent baseball swing from Ms. Knight. This blasted him off of his feet and was sent flying 10 meter back.

Theo noticed that Ms. Knight's left arm was very much attached to her body.

This was probably Ms. Sweet and caring (and brainded) childhood friend mage's doing.

She was a specialist in healing magic and was capable of regrowing severed limbs in seconds.

She was nowhere near Vivi's level, but she was definitely up there with the best of the white mages.

With so many of his enemies in one floor, Theo decided to perform a tactical retreat.

He jumped off the floor and used one of his grapling guns to get to the higher floors.

Unfotunately, Ms. Archer, who was now on the very 1st floor, chopped the grappling gun's cord with a single well placed shot.

"Damn that ability of yours! It's so annoying!"

Theo used another grappling gun and continued his ascension.

Ms. Archer tried to snipe Theo once again, but he was able to shoot down all of her arrows.

He got off at the 40th floor and stopped to ascess his situation.

Without Ms. Archer to teleport the rest of the Tenjou group to Theo's location, they were forced to take the stairs or the elevator to get to him.

Using the telescopic function on his cybernetic eye, Theo checked on Ms. Archer. She was enchanting her arrows with her annoying ability.

He wasnt sure how long her enchanting would take, but he was certain that she was the greatest headache in the group once she started moving again.

For now, he decided to take out the one person that was isolated from the rest of the group: The White Mage.

Once again, Theo used his grapling gun to quickly climb the floors.

While doing so, he fired his gum drones to the higher floors to scout on ahead. At the same time, he used himself as bait to make Ms. Archer fire at him.

The less time she dedicated onto enchanting her arrows, the better.

Eventually, he was able to get to the 45th floor where he assume Ms. Mage was at. She was teleported here by Ms. Archer to heal Ms. Knight a while ago.

But as expected, she was nowhere in this floor.

Theo resumed his ascension while firing his gum done, shooting down Ms. Archer's arrows and keepin track of the Tenjou group that was hot on his tail.

Eventually, one of his gum drones was able to spot Ms. Mage at the 61th floor.

For a girl with such large breasts, she sure can run.

Theo's pace quickened as he gave chase.

However, the arrows that were hounding him for a while was nowhere to be seen.

"Shit! Ms. Archer is coming! No time to waste!"

Theo rushed to the 61st floor and spotted Ms. Mage entering the elevator.

By the time Theo reached the elevator door, she was already at the 63rd floor.

Forced the door open and used his grapling gun to quickly catch up with it.

Once he was underneath the elevator, he used his HF Blade and sliced a hole open.

Ms. Mage screamed in horror as Theo's menacing figure peeked through the gap.

"Here's Johnny!"

As he pulled himself through the hole, the girl whacked him desperately with her staff.

It was quite pathetic and cute at the same time.

Theo responded to her adorable attempts by bashing the butt of his ARX 160 into her face.

She instantly crumbled to the floor in agony. Clearly she was not used to pain.

Theo gently stepped on her head to keep her in place while he waited for the elevator to reach the 70th floor.

Once there, he excited the floor while dragging the kicking and screaming Ms. Mage.

Much to his surprise, the old samurai was just outside the elevator door. He was still eating and drinking while observing the battle unfold.

"Oh? Hello Boss. How fares the battle?" asked the amused old man.

"As well as you can expect." replied Theo as he dragged Ms. Mage and forced her to sit on the concrete barrier.

Ms. Mage was desperately begging for Old Samurai to help her.

Naturally, he ignored her.

"What are you planning to do with the young lady?" asked Old Samurai.

"Something interesting. Watch and be amazed old man."

"That I will."

Theo then jumped off the 70th floor with Ms. Mage in tow.

He positioned himself behind the screaming girl as they fell.

As he hoped, Ms. Archer fired an arrow at Ms. Mage and teleported Makoto to catch her.

Makoto was shocked that the moment he hugged Ms. Mage in order to protect her from the inevitable impact, he was staring down the barrel of Theo's super shotgun.

Theo open fired but Makoto was able to separate himself from Ms. Mage before any of the bullets was to land on him.

Unfortunately for Makoto, he was too far from Ms. Mage.

"Wrong move man." said Theo as he used his grappling gun to slow his fall.

Approximately 2 seconds later, a loud painful thud and a nasty splat was heard on the ground floor.

Makoto was very much alive. Sure he had a couple of broken bones and was bleeding in some places, but it was nothing his regeneration could fix in 5 seconds.

Ms. Mage, on the other hand, was very much dead.

Theo gently landed on the ground floor and calmly watched Makoto in his grief.

"WHY DID YOU KILL HER?! WHY?!" roared Makoto as he held Ms. Mage's hand.

"I'm not sure if you realized, but we've been fighting here." replied Theo

"BUT DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO KILL HER?!"

"You would have done the same."

"WE'RE NOT LIKE YOU! WE DONT KILL PEOPLE!"

"If you brought your lovers into a battlefield and was not prepared to lose them, then you are a greater fool than I thought."

Makoto's face was twisted in rage. He let lose a beastial howl and lunged at Theo with a fury.

"Heh. Check and Mate."

Makoto swung his twin blades with the fury of the gods, but Theo was someone that can be beaten by anger.

An opponet that has lost himself to rage was an easy target for Theo.

Eached time Theo bobbed and weaved to avoid Makoto's strikes, he would plant a bullet into the poor bloke.

Makoto went berserk and kept coming for Theo despite the damage recieved, but the result was the same.

His strikes may be strong enough to cleave a man and the concrete pillar behind him in one strike, but such power was worthless if it cant connect with the intended target.

While Theo was giving Makoto a leathal dose of lead, he quickly dodged to the side to avoid Ms. Knight's violent downward strike.

As the two rushed towards Theo, he unleashed his flamethrowers at them.

Ms. Knight stopped, dropped and rolled in a desperate attempt to stop the flames.

Ms. Samurai finally caught up and did her best to help Ms. Knight.

Makoto powered on with reckless abandon.

Theo continued to spray Makoto with fire and bullets while constantly moving back.

Quite suddenly, ER46 contacted Theo via coms.

"My lord, we have an important news to report." said ER46.

"I'm busy here! Make it short and quick!" replied Theo

"Lady Juno's water just broke."

"Say what?!"

The news so shocking that Theo stopped moving for a second.

That one second was enough for Makoto to close the distance and hit Theo with a strike that threw him all the way into a nearby room.

He smashed through an entire room before slamming into a refrigerator on the next room.

Fortunately, Makoto got him on his left side. Most of the impact was absorbed by his left arm.

Nevertheless, he had a lot of broken bones and his limbs were bent the wrong way.

The Ankh hidden in his belt began flooding his bloodstream with the omnigel.

Normally, he would be screaming in pain right about now, but pain was the very last thing in his mind right now.

From the limited knowledge Theo had about pregnancy, water broke => labor pains => birth.

This meant 1 thing.

He no longer had time to waste.

As he watched his limbs snap painfully back into place, the remainder of the Tenjou group came rushing in with Ms. Knight at the front.

Theo drew his super shotgun and fired.

Having first hand experience of the power of the super shotgun, Ms. Knight dodged to the side with all of her might.

All according to plan.

Theo knew Ms. Knight would dodge.

His target was whoever was behind her that was not able to react in time.

Ms. Archer was the unlucky recipient of 2 bunker buster rounds. Everything from the waist up was blown to smithereens.

"AYA!" howled Makoto in agony.

It seemed that Ms. Archer's name was Aya. Good to know.

Enrage by Ms. Archer's death, Ms. Knight lunged forward.

Theo used his flamethrower to create a smokescreen and moved his head slightly to avoid the spear.

He stabbed Ms. Knight in the eyes with the fingers in his left hand before ripping her entire face off.

He shoved his ARX 160 into her brain and unloaded 10 rounds into it.

At this point, the omnigel has healed all of his wounds.

He stood up and walked forward while he reloaded all of his guns.

In front of him was Makoto with streaks of tears flowing down his face and Ms. Samurai who was shaking in fear.

"The battlefield is no place for the weak." said Theo

Before he could execute the 2 remaining Tenjou members, the sound of something heavy smashing into concrete was heard from the center hall of the first floor.

The Old Man rushed into the room and placed himself between Theo and Ms. Samurai.

"Grandfather? ..... Why are you here now?! Why didnt you come earlier?! If you did-!" said Ms. Samurai before the Old Man bitch slapped her into Makoto's arms.

"This was your test if you deserve the Jubei name, and you have failed. Get your worthless manwhore and leave." replied the Old Man with clear murderous intent in his voice.

Overwhelmed by the pressure, Ms. Samurai took the heart broken Makoto and left.

"I thought you werent going to interfere in our fight?" asked Theo while hidding the fact that he was desperately trying to think of a plan to avoid the incoming battle.

"I may not care for the lives of the others, but she is my grandchild. I hope you understand." replied the Old Man.

"I understand. Since our battle is over, I will now take my leave."

As Theo was about to make a quick exit, the Old Man drew his nodachi and pointed it at Theo.

"Makoto may be less than worthless, but you have proven to be a fine specimen. Allow me to further test you if you are worthy of the Yagyu."

"Er... I'm not interested in joining your family or anything, you know?"

"Ha! You think I care what you want? I say you have potential and I will test you wether you like it or not!"

Theo groaned internally as the hopeless battle began.
