Background: The Golden Son appeared out of nowhere, and within a few short years became the most respected and feared pirate that ever lived. He is notoriously eccentric, and while his conquests have netted him a large fortune over his career, he appears to choose his jobs based more on what strikes his interest than what will pay the most.
The Golden Son has never turned down a duel, and has never lost one. His ship, the Solar Fox, is widely regarded to be the fastest ship on Solam. Very little is known about the man, and this appears to be an intentional move on the Golden Son's part. Even the biography written about his life, A Conversation with the Pirate King, which focused largely on his adventures, provided exceedingly few details about his background.
It is a widespread misconception that the Golden Son's legendary revolver is known as the Golden Gun. It is in fact called Pride. It is clearly heavily enchanted, but its maker and origin are unknown. It appears that he has had the weapon for most, if not all of his career.
While his romantic conquests are many, it is unknown if the Golden Son has ever held down a committed relationship during his time as a pirate. Many women have claimed to be his mistress, wife, or even to have borne his children, but none of these claims have been substantiated.
