《Different World along with One Piece System》Chapter 23 - Leah's return

Leah arrived at the entrance to the sect, but she was stopped by an elder.
“Disciple Jing, where are you going?” The elder asked her.
“Elder, this disciple wants to take a couple of days for leave.” She told him.
The elder thought about it for a moment, and smiled. “Sure disciple Jing, but how about I go along with you. We can’t have you wandering around and getting into trouble, if something happens to you, the headmaster will have my head!”
Leah’s expression changed for a split second, but quickly went back to normal. She didn’t want this elder coming with her, and she couldn’t lead him to Yan. Leah decided she would take him away from the sect and kill him before she went into town.
As they walked out of the sect, the elder suddenly remembered something. “Disciple Jing, I think it is best you take your leave in a few days. There is a special guest coming, and all the disciples are not allowed to leave.”
Leah heard a little about this from those three young males. She didn’t know who the other headmaster was, but the top disciple from this sect and the other sect are getting married. Not only that, but after they are married the two sects will merge into one sect.
“This matter cannot wait, I must leave!” She said.
The elder furrowed his brows, how dare she talk back to him. However he didn’t dare say anything back to her like he would to the other disciples. She was stronger than him, and he would have no way to defend himself.
Gritting his teeth, he nodded his head. The headmaster hasn’t seen her yet, so he wouldn’t know that she is missing. Maybe this matter she is speaking of will only take a day's time, then they can return.
…….
Yan was seated at the table eating a meal. He didn’t have anything to do at the moment considering he could only wait for Leah to come back with information regarding the other headmaster.
Dex and Vixen were both out at the moment gathering more information. He needed to know more about the headmaster that was coming here.
Yan sighed as he put his fork down on the table and leaned back. The entrance to the inn opened up and Leah walked in with a smile on her face. Even her cheeks were rosy red, causing her charm to increase tenfold.
She walked over to Yan and sat across from him. Wearing her Baby-5 dress instead of the sects robe, it gave off a different feeling.
“What did you find out?” Yan didn’t waste any time and asked her.
“There is a headmaster called Te Lin coming to the sect tomorrow with his disciple Hau Hu. Hau Hu and a core disciple from the sect are getting married, causing both of the sects to merge into one.” She paused for a moment before continuing, “Yan, I think we should wait until Te Lin leaves before we attack the sect. Unlike the headmaster, Te Lin is already a Master Sage at the middle stage.”

She found out about Te Lin from the elder who she ‘played’ with before she came back here. For his life he was willing to give up any information regarding Te Lin.
Yan noticed her concern for him, but still shook his head. He wasn’t able to beat a Master Sage, but so what? The only reason he failed was because he didn’t have enough energy to continue fighting. If he had more energy, then even a Master Sage would fall before him!
“I cannot! You know what happens when we wait? Time is wasted, time that cannot be recovered. No matter if it was Te Lin or an Immortal, I will fight against them!” Yan told her proudly.
He wasn’t going to back away now. This was the perfect place to make a name for himself, how could he let this chance go by?
Luffy did what others thought was impossible, so why couldn’t he? Yan didn’t have time to think about it. Skip thinking! In the world of One Piece, the only ones qualified to come up with plans are those who are scared.
Hearing Yan, Leah could only sigh. “Yan… it has been a little bit since you’ve started cultivating. Did you know it would take at least a month or so for a genius to enter the Entry realm? Taking longer for those who have an average speed. However for you who has no talent, I fear taking a year would not even be enough.” Leah was only speaking honestly.
Yan didn’t refute her, he also knew his talent sucks when it comes to cultivation. Watching Leah produce a black box, his curiosity was piqued!
“Yan, this is an Internal Qi pill, however it is different from other types of Internal Qi pills. It won’t increase your talent, nor is it some type of heaven defying pill. The price for this pill easily reaches ten trillion, but it is worthless to me. It can let a cultivator train what they would in one year, in one day. If it wasn’t for the fact that you could only use this pill once, then it could be considered heaven defying.” Leah told him as she passed the black box to Yan. “On BlueMoon continent, only twenty of these pills appear every five years. My grandfather gave this to me when I was younger, but I never needed it. Now, I am giving it to you. You must be warned, there are slight side effects from taking this pill.”
Yan raised his eyebrow when she said that.
“If you aren’t able to endure the sudden increase in qi, your meridians could burst open making you unable to cultivate forever. However if you do endure it, due to you increasing your training speed by one year, you’ll be unable to absorb anymore qi for the next year.”
“So a double edged sword.” Yan said as he gripped the black box.

Leah nodded her head. This pill for increasing your training speed had two different types of effects. Trade one whole year of cultivation for increasing your speed by one year, or your meridians would completely burst open. For a cultivator, this was a huge gamble. If you couldn’t cultivate for a year, then you wouldn’t be able to increase your strength.
Yan stood up with the black box in hand. “Thanks.” He told her as he went upstairs to his room.
Leah thought of something, but shook her head. It was too late, she could only leave it up to the heavens.
Upstairs Yan sat cross legged with ‘Buddha's Resurrection’ in front of him. Leah said it could increase what he could in one year into one day. Yan believed that he would easily be able to break into the Entry realm with this pill, but he also wanted to see if it would help him with learning ‘Buddha's Resurrection’.
‘Buddha’s Resurrection’ is a special type of martial skill. It isn’t the type that’s a strong move, nor is it the type that increases your body. It simply blooms a flower inside of you, and as it grows it will give you immunity to one type of element.
Yan read through the first chapter of the book, and waited for a while before he finally closed his eyes. He wanted to completely understand what he just read to make sure that he wouldn’t forget it. There could be no mistakes.
As his eyes were closed, he took a deep breath as he opened the black box in front of him. Yan couldn’t see what color the pill was, and he didn’t care. One can’t live correctly if they have regrets, so Yan would live his life to the fullest without regretting anything.
Putting the pill in his mouth, it quickly dissolved. As it slid down his throat, he felt his body warming up.
Yan didn’t feel any different, but he couldn’t move his body. It was stuck in a meditating state, and no matter what he tried, he was unable to move. He guessed this was something the pill caused, so he stopped trying to move and relaxed.
His mind was empty, he couldn’t even sense what was going on in his surroundings. Yan didn’t feel the Qi in the air either, it was like his mind was isolated from the world.
If Yan could see what was going on outside, he would be surprised. As seconds went by, you could visibly see Yan’s hair growing longer. After a while, his height increased a little bit.
This pill did not only allow him to train what he could do in one year into one day, it also stimulated his body into thinking that a year was passing by.
All cultivators have what they call a dantain, that is just right below their belly button. Usually one has Qi gather and it would form a ball inside them. This ball would be different colors, depending on what type of element they were allied with. If they had two, then the ball would be split in half with two different colors.
Inside Yan, a ball of Qi wasn’t forming. Where the Qi was suppose to gather to form a ball of light, it didn’t. There was the image of a purple fruit with a red glow. It was strange as it looked like a pineapple.
If Yan could see this, he could tell that this was a Devil Fruit. Except this Devil Fruit wasn’t one in the exchange system, it was the one he created. It was absorbing the Qi that entered Yan’s body, making it larger in size and more defined.
As it grew larger, a screech was heard by Yan. He thought he was isolated, but it turns out that he wasn’t. Some kind of beast was here, but he couldn’t find it.
The Pineapple changed its shape from a Devil Fruit into the face of a Phoenix Head. With Purple colored feathers, light red eyes and a golden beak, it was floating in Yan’s Dantian.
Purple energy flowed from it into Yan’s Meridians filling it up. Yan’s blood boiled as it ran through his body at an insanely fast speed.
Half a day was already gone by, but to Yan he couldn’t tell the time. In the empty space in his mind a golden figure appeared. Yan didn’t know anything about Chinese history, the only thing he knew was some Xinxia or Wuxia novels. However Yan hardly even read those!
This figure, anyone who knew the basics of China could tell what it was. It was Buddha!
……
Yan could finally move his body again, but when he did he heard a few crackling sounds. Those things about you having black yuck over your body was a lie. Yan didn’t have anything on his body.
He could feel the strands of hair on his naked back. Yan walked into the bathroom, there was a mirror inside the bathroom. He wanted to see if he became any more handsome. There was also the idea that once you cultivated your skin would become smoother and one would become more handsome.
“Eh, still the same.” Yan told himself as he looked at himself in the mirror. Nothing changed besides his hair growing longer. If he had to say anything was different, it would be the beauty mark under his left eye.
Been busy with Uni/work, but I'll release more chapters today.
