《Earth to Rae》Important Update
Advertisement
First of all, I'm sorry for no word for two weeks. I took down the novel so I could better focus on the editing and revisions I was doing, but I didn't think it would take this long.
An explanation of why I wanted to start this process.
1. Small grammar and punction errors riddled all the chapters. Although they were small, and probably not noticeable to the average reader, there were many of them.
2. Many missed opportunities for development, for characters and worldbuilding. I also mean Rae's skills too, and that leads me to my 3rd point.
3. No sense of discovery for Rae's powers in the beginning except for Chapter 3 - Sixth Sense. One of my favorite things to read about in RPG novels is when the MC adapts and experiments with their powers in the beginning.
4. Probably the biggest reason, and that is skills/power levels. I wrote the skills and stats without forethought and would have been a huge detriment and roadblock when writing future chapters. It's not like cultivation novels where there's a general title for how powerful someone is, e.g, Stage 5 Gold Core. For LitRPG there's a quantifiable number of how powerful someone is (Although skills do matter, even the skills have a number attached to them, e.g, levels). I just need some time think about it.
At first, I contemplated a rewrite, but after much thought, I decided not to. I really like the current story, so instead, I decided to do an editing and revisions overhaul. For the new version, I will be trying to fix all of these and adding new things as well. I've already completed the edits/revisions up to Chapter 7.
New things I will (I've already done) add/change:
1. Rae starts out with Shadow Magic instead of Dark Magic. Dark Magic will not be going away though.

2. Resistances will not be listed out. Instead, they will only be shown if they have a change in a category. This will be so that it won't be like "Oh, so there are only so and so elements," and put myself in a creative box.
3. I've written a (a few paragraphs of old stuff, but mostly new) new chapter. It's Chapter 4, it comes after Chapter 3 - Sixth Sense, hence, all the other chapters will have their number bumped up. There might be more new written chapters, who knows?
4. I've added many new lines and changed a few to sound better throughout Prologue - Chapter 7. Ranging from tiny lines only expanding on Rae and other characters to foreshadowing larger things. Although, Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 have the least changes. Mostly just a heavy polish. Starting at Chapter 3 is where the changes take place. Prologue only has a heavy reduction. Reduced about 500 words. A lot, in the beginning, did not need to be said.
5. Changing Selena to Half Human/Elf. Important. I was actually planning on making her a Half-Elf in the beginning but scrapped it for some reason. I forget why though.
6. Because Selena is a Half-Elf, The Humble Foxes, and Dark Cloaks initial relationship impression will change. This is kind of minor since there were only mentioned and seen in two chapters, but it's important in the long run.
7. Some Changes to his Rae's Appraisal Skill to make it less OP.
8. May or may not overhaul everyone's stats, I'm still thinking on this one. If there are changes to someone's stats, one will definitely be Yva's.
There will probably be a lot more changes, as I've still 14 chapters left.
After I'm done and have written past Chapter 20, I will make a new page, as I feel there are enough changes (and more to come) to warrant it and keep this one for posterity's sake. Then, I'll mass release the first 20 chapters in one day (or two), and we'll go on from there.

I know a lot of you were waiting for Chapter 21, like, a lot. So much so, that when I dropped the two edited Prologue and Chapter 1 that I received my first 0.5 and multiple 1/2 ratings T_T. A lot of you probably feel that the original versions were fine and only want the newest chapter, but I want to put the best out here even though its a hobby. Just think of it this way, better to do this at Chapter 20 than 100 or 200 chapters down the line lol.
Oh yeah, if you've any issues that you want to bring up about the novel, now's the time to do it! If I feel they're appropriate, I'll definitely incorporate them. I've already done so with a few ideas in the new version.
I *think* that's all I wanted to say...
Anyways, sorry again for the disappearance, and I hope you'll wait a few more weeks for Chapter 21.

World Story: Biographies of Extraordinary People
Important note: I’d like to thank Dr. Buller for their advice on dialogue by their critical review. And I’m on a one-month break to post the first revised chapters on Scribble Hub. Please stay tuned! Even in faraway worlds, every folk had a story, and monsters came in numerous shapes and sizes. However, heroes never existed in this otherworld. Even the most idealistic understood this deep within. But as they abandoned their humanity at times, they quickly regained it. It was not that they became human again. They always were. So what happened when the monster devoid of humanity appeared? Well, the “heroes” sought to slay it at all costs either way, lest it would be the end of their stories. A portal/isekai fantasy that I wanted to deconstruct some elements within. Expect a whole ton of references and dialogue because I’ll deliberately write it more like a light novel. The last thing to consider is that Japanese names in my novel will come with kanji/hiragana characters within parentheses. The same goes for any other derived from non-Latin writing systems. It’s because none of the names I write will be accidental or random. They’ll all have meaning. New chapters Monday to Thursday at 11:00 PM (GMT+8), though sometimes I can’t. Credit for the cover art goes to HWPerfidy. She’s a freelance artist on this site, and I’d love anyone who shows her support.

Serenity of the Crow
Fena can’t die. To most, this might be considered a blessing. To others, a curse. Fena doesn’t really care what other people call it: for her, it’s reality. She’s content to keep her head down while working for the Mercenary Guild, but a new contract arrives that threatens to drag her back to a past she wants nothing to do with. Haunted by her own thoughts and a crow that never seems to shut up, Fena is caught between confronting her past and preventing it from ever happening again. Indigo is alone. Her adopted mother is gone, and the witch that never gets her pronouns right is currently the most popular researcher at the Royal Academy. Worse still, she suddenly finds herself with shoes to fill that are so enormous they’re more like a swimming pool, while that same witch flaunts a research project that could get them all killed. With the expectations of her entire sect weighing on her like a lead weight, will Indigo sink or swim? Can she stop the White Witch’s project before it’s too late? Or will the twisted politics of the Royal Academy prove too much? This is my first published story, so hopefully it goes well! I welcome constructive criticism, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and theories about where the story is headed! WARNINGS:This story contains references to depression, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm, sexual abuse and manipulation. I WILL mark trigger warnings on the chapters that contain such content, but read at your own risk. Additionally there will be plenty of violence and gore but I promise to put it to good use. This series is also published on Scribblehub under the same name, Cover art by me Verification has been submitted by support ticket.

Slave 53: The Phoenix
Azgarth is a violent Warlord from a planet where everyone feared him, a man that never lost a battle whether it be from his enemies surrendering or dying. After entering a wormhole, this once infamous man had his memory completely wiped. He was enslaved under the name 53. The great comet arrived one day and gave 53 an extremely rare animal aspect, the Phoenix. Having a rare animal aspect puts people on the fast track to power in this world. Will 53 show the same brutality as his former self? Author: So there will probably be a lot of changes when I start hashing out the whole classes and what not. I'm not planning on this to have statuses or anything like that, but when people 'lvl up' is probably going to be something like ascending 1, 2, 3, etc. With each ascension they are many times stronger, for example, someone who hasn't ascend at all would be at 0, but someone with a 1 would be about 5x stronger than someone who is 0 and so on. It would take a long time to reach each one. With the red colored marks which represents fire, I have a couple ideas with what I want to do, in a way a battle royale, as this continent they are on isn't very large, but all four elements are on it (or more, I might add light, dark, and some others) but all the humans have red, while a different alien race has blue (water), brown (earth), and grey (Air). The color of the mark they have influences how they feel about each other, a example of that would be if a red saw a brown, then they would naturally feel a disgust about each other, and if they killed someone from a different color they would gain way more life essence which is needed to ascend than they would killing someone from their same color. The last thing, I'm not too sure about the main character yet, as I like the whole idea of a memory wipe, I almost think it'd be more entertaining to have the guy slowly regain all his memory, then just becoming his normal self again. If that's the case I'll have to change the title of book. The original idea was this guy would keep the name 53, and his prior self named Azgarth is sharing his body, as in he can talk to him and give him advice on things since he doesn't want him to die since he is sorta like a split personality sharing the same body. Looking at it now, idk if I want this guy to be named 53 forever. Warning: A lot of dark content in the book, especially in the flashbacks.

Awakening
This story was previously known as "The Awakening".~*~"One... two... three... one... two... three... a million... is that number right?" A figure less voice echoed."Hello? Who's there?" Caliope asked, focusing on that voice."One... two... who? A million... a billion... no, it's more... a legion..."Silence. She had seen too many horror movies and heard too many stories about that single word to overpass its meaning. The voice went quiet, yet she was still unable to see where it came from. She rubbed her eyes and all she could see around her was a thick path in a jungle-like scene. She didn't remember how she got there, but she knew it was for something important. Her eyes focused on the far end of the path and all she could see were more trees. She turned to the opposite side and found just the same."One... two... billions... but always back at one..." the voice resumed it's counting."Where are you? Who are you?"~*~-Her name is Caliope, and when she was a young girl, she never believed in happy endings. For her, there was nothing more than what you see in front of you. All she needed was her best friend Vanessa. Her background is very simple; a foster child with foster parents that were everything but warm and caring. Regardless of that, she became a smart and responsible young woman, ready for whatever came her way. At least that is what she thought. Her new job interview changed her life. It changed everything she ever believed in, and what she thought it was real. Her new boss is an amazing woman who has a son, something different from what he is made out to be.As she discovers the hidden truth about her boss and her son, she has to prepare herself for a whole new world that will unfold to her.~*~Intro collaboration with my loyal reader @GabrielleCardenOriginal Picture from the cover made by Marcus J.
