《Across the Realms [Dropped]》Chapter 26: Astrallis vs Enyo

“You’re not the only descendant of a god here.”
A golden Qi enclosed Astrallis’ body in a blink of an eye, his eyes reflecting the same colour as the Qi.
Enyo felt prodigious pressure encapsulate her Soul-Being, she immediately took control of her soul-replicant and inspected her soul-space.
She was bewildered to see a fracture occur in her soul-space, and a golden stairway cascaded down from the fissure.
An incandescent white figure, with long flailing golden hair, marched down the stairway, a regal air prevalent in its movements.
Its penetrative golden eyes stared at Enyo’s spiritual-replicant.
This figure was naturally Astrallis in his Astral Qi manifestation.
“How did you manage to enter my soul-space?” Enyo asked in incredulity.
“Among the current generations, I doubt there is anyone who could match my soul-prowess. Although, I do have to admit there is little one can do in regards to the soul at our low realm of cultivation.” Astrallis informed Enyo.
“Why are you so confident? Even I, a descendant of the Blood God and War Immortal, do not say I am unparalleled in the cultivation of the human body.” Enyo asked curiously.
Astrallis eyes locked with Enyo’s, “Because I am the sole descendant of the Astral God, an inheritor of his meridians and blood. With the Astral Meridians, I can use his Astral Qi, the Qi which reigns supreme within the spiritual world.”
“The Astral God, known as the Vagabond?” Enyo’s eyes flashed with excitement.
“That’s right. Currently, I do not have any soul-attack techniques, so I’ll use my rudimentary control of Astral Qi to force pressure onto your Soul-Being. If you can withstand it, we’ll go all out in reality.”
“Prepare.”
A golden Qi began to surround Enyo, she started to feel an expansive pressure on her Soul-Being as well as around her soul-space.
With the brightening of Astrallis’ eyes, the pressure increased once again, causing Enyo’s soul replicant to dim intermittently.
“War Immortal's Mantle.” With a shout, a golden-armour formed on Enyo’s spiritual body.
The pressure upon her increased once again, a palpable torrent of Astral Qi descended, forcing the now-armoured Enyo to crouch.
This situation repeated itself for another few minutes before Astrallis withdrew his Astral Qi.
“It’s as expected, I can’t beat you without any soul-techniques. Suppression alone is not enough to inundate your soul.” Astrallis said dismissively, amusement in his eyes.
“Honestly, I’m rather afraid to face you once you do learn some offensive soul-techniques.” Enyo flashed a tired smile.

“Who is this boy? He is even able to practice the Sanguinary Felicity Body-Art, a female only body-art, at the same time he managed to gain access to the body-art,” the talkative Elder Bai gossiped around her friends.
“The body-art has obviously had some drastic changes to his physical body, including his appearance, he has adopted the seductive features of our Blood Felicity Religion; although, I must say, his features are more than just bewitching,” a fae woman responded.
“We’ve never had a problem with males before, they simply couldn’t cultivate our supreme art, now look at the situation. All the younger girls within the Spectator’s Dome as well as in the trial are bewitched by this obsidian winged seraphim,” Elder Bai continued.
“It seems their battle of the souls is over.”
•••
During the battle of the souls, the girls in the cavern never removed their eyes from the duo. Although to the pair the struggle may have seemed to have waged on for minutes, in reality only a few seconds had passed.
“I think that display was enough for me to learn your name,” Enyo said, an expectation in her eyes.
The seraphic Astrallis gave a low chuckle, “Indeed, you are more than a worthy opponent. Draw your weapon.”
An ivory sheath appeared in Astrallis’ hand, the sheath had luminescent Sanskrit engraved on it, his hand clutched the hilt gracefully and proceeded to draw the blade from its scabbard.
An emerald Qi began to cascade in droplets off his obsidian wings, the Qi gradually began to encapsulate his body, turning his eyes colour of the same shade.
His wings began to beat the air, elegantly lifting himself up till he was near the roof of the cavern. At that moment the meter long blade in his hands came to life, a lion’s roar echoed out from the nodachi in Astrallis’ hand seemingly setting it aflame with emerald fire.
An aura of a monarch that seemed to overshadow the heavens began to emanate from the seraph in the sky, in response to Astrallis’ imperial aura the cavern started to tremble causing fissures to form within the cavern.
A large hole formed in the roof of the cavern, “Children, go fight outside. You’ll cause damage to your sisters on the ground,” a dignified voice echoed throughout the secret realm.
Astrallis soared into the sky, his six-metre wingspan bared for all to see.

Using her Sky-Realm capabilities, Enyo gracefully glided after the imposing seraph. Her carnate battle-intent of the War Immortal ever-rising, her impressive manner no less than Astrallis.
One entity of flaming emerald, another body a paroxysm of vitality.
Astrallis and Enyo their eyes locked, a sign of an oncoming soul-stirring battle.
“My name is Astrallis Ether.”
With those words the emerald Qi around him began to soar into the sky, his wings beating as he charged towards Enyo.
“Blood God Spear Materialise.”
A nine-meter long carmine spear formed in Enyo’s hand which she struck out with against the oncoming nodachi. A pale-gold Qi followed behind the spear strike.
The two weapons struck each other causing shockwaves to proliferate around the point of contact.
Astrallis immediately darted to the left flank of Enyo and struck Enyo’s War Immortal armour before she could counteract.
Her body flew back with tremendous speed leaving spacial tears in her flight path, he immediately took after her.
“Rolling Blossoms in Autumn’s Bloom.” With a shout, Astrallis began to continuously spin around his wings and nodachi slashing Enyo’s armour.
Enyo reciprocated with her own spear art, “War Immortal's Pivot.”
She spun around on her left foot, sending her spear out it struck precisely at the weak point of the spiralling Astrallis, causing him to halt his assault.
She followed up with multiple strikes of her spear, jarring Astrallis arms as he parried.
They backed a considerable distance away from each other, both having the same idea they activated their Sanguinary Felicity Tree. Overbearing blood vitality radiated from their bodies, their physical strength each rose to around ten thousand kilograms of force.
Strikes that would eviscerate even World-Wandering Realm cultivators flashed throughout the sky.
•••
In the sky, Grandmother Anemone and the others observed the fight, “Astra’er has managed to perform the first layer of the Felicity Blade Art to an adequate degree, even incorporating his wings.”
“While little Enyo has managed to repeatedly use the unbreakable defensive technique of that battle freak.”
An odd look soon passed over the Religion-Master’s face, “I haven’t explained the effects of the Sanguinary Felicity Body-Art to Astra’er, he’s probably annoyed at me.”
•••
“This old woman, she hasn’t even told me how to use this body-art. My usage of physical strength is wholly inferior to spear-girl in front of me,” Astrallis grumbled while continuing his attacks, “I’ve also felt my personality change, and continue to do so since I began practising this art.”
Astrallis stopped his attacks and floated in the air staring at Enyo.
“Enyo Felicity, what is the name of your Qi?” Astrallis asked.
“This pale-golden Qi,” said Enyo, waving her qi enclosed hand about,
“It’s War Immortal Qi.”
“I practice the Way Of Spear, Way of Blood and the Way of Battle. One spear sweep to sunder the heavens, one body to hold the sky, and one mind to face all. All of these are perfect for me, someone who aspires to be like the War Immortal,” Enyo said passionately.
“It is indeed a fitting combination.” Astrallis flashed a smile. “What is your emerald Qi, I haven’t found anything special about it apart from its colour?” Enyo asked curiosity evident on her face.
“It’s because I haven’t used any of its properties to attack,” a playful smile on his face, “I practice the Way of Blade, Way of Astral and the Way of Buddha. I have…”
“Wait!” Enyo shouted with a shocked expression, “You practice the Way of Buddha? How? You look, and emanate an aura, so unlike a Buddha.”
•••
In the sky, Astrallis’ family roared with laughter.
“Even though these children look like teenagers, you can’t stop their eight-year-old hearts from speaking.” Jasmine chuckled.
“If you look at Astrallis he looks like a perfect archetype of what a male Blood Felicity Religion member would look like.” Amelia chuckled, gently biting her lip.
“Zen, I think we need to prepare for multiple sisters-in-laws in the future,” Xen said to her twin sister.
“For some reason, I don’t think you’ll have to worry. I’ve seen Astrallis make a face at a picture of a man with multiple women around him when he was reading the Universe Encyclopedia.” Grandmother Anemone informed the family.
“Oh, this is going to cause headaches for me one day, there are going to be multiple young mistresses running to my doorstep asking for his hand-in-marriage, but all of them will be denied,” Grandmother Anemone whined.
“He’s my son, I get to choose what happens to him!” Jasmine stared daggers at her mother.
“And he’s my only grandson!”
The three sisters looked at each other, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

The Core And The Wardens of Eternity
What is the Core, they asked me... It's the light that pushes the darkness away, a bastion of justice, a safe keeper of life. It grooms love and tolerance, embraces science, fights ignorance, sentences it to die a slow and tragic death. The Core... it's something that can't be destroyed for destroying it is to terminate the time and space itself. When the stuck-in-a-dark-age world of Zanria goes offline, the Core sends one of its experienced agents to find out what is going on and to try to reestablish a mysteriously severed connection. However, all his training and experience might come way short as the world sinks in war and chaos with different races and clans fighting for the Star of Bardan, the ward rumored to possess enough supernatural power to create and destroy entire worlds. *** I just changed the name of the series, from 'the Nexus' to 'the Core'. Somehow it just sounds more right to me. This is the first story, and it has a medieval fantasy setting. But, eventually, this is going to turn into Isekai series with elements of LitRPG. So, my future books might include worlds with advanced technologies that might be more in SciFi, including Steampunk, genre. The first book might start slow, but after a few chapters, it should all be properly set up, and by then you should get the feel of how it will all flow. Also, I plan to introduce different story threats that should spread out and criss-cross in the future. Hopefully, I will not complicate it too much, and that it will all read good. I am planning to continue to add chapters to the main storyline here, but I'm also starting a new story threat in the Core series called The Recordings of Raan. There is also a side story The Memoires of Eisen that's exclusive on Patreon for those who would like to support me.
