《One Piece No Go No Ken》Dance of Death 1

The fucker was cursing his bad luck for picking such a nasty opponent. He received hit after hit and his face was soon covered with cuts. He was blue all over due to his inability to sustain his protective stance. I was not hitting harder than anything he'd ever had to face. In fact, in their own crew, he had to withstand scarier offensive power while training with either Brent or the freakish brute known as Desmond.
But...he had never seen someone with such an unnaturally large amount of stamina. My recovery speed was not making things fair for him. In the beginning, he was counting on me to strike a few blows here and there and then become tired.
(Pov switch) (Third person pov)
But now he realized something; something which made him understand if the woman who was watching from the sidelines did not come to his rescue, he might bite the dust today. No! He would definitely die as the logical outcome. This merciless leprechaun in front of him was not a person, he was a monster!
Not even one drop of sweat had dripped from him ever since the first clash. This was not a fight anymore, but a sentence of death!
He was burning slowly and methodically, exhausting his body until the kid wrestled him to his tomb. He was too young to die. He enjoyed life too much to sign his death warrant in such a sarcastic manner. What he had thought to be an easy prey, one he could capture and bring back, was a predator baring sharper fangs than his own. This was irony at its best. The lion getting played by the ratel.
Really no quantity of steroids or amount of doping could help him overcome this hurdle known as brutality. This kid was literally savage and was born to fight. He had yet to figure out what the metallic luster and steam coming from his arms originated from, but he could care less at this point. He had to make a quick dash or beg that perky butt witch for assistance. However, he knew she hated his guts...

She had a sadistic disposition and more than likely would leave him to his own devices, no matter which kind of fate was in store for him.
The number of people that actually died because of her would yet increase once more if it continued. He had to figure something out, or the only thing that would happen would be him getting eaten by beasts as a funeral, once the brat had put the finishing touch to the fight.
He had one last card he had kept hidden to his opponent. However, once it failed, he was as good as-as dead. Since he was a bit faster than his foe, the chances were not that slim... He could only pray that his reaction time and defenses were not as good as his virulent punches and kicks.
(Raoh pov)
"Blitzkrieg!!" Lewis shouted as some white powder appeared out of nowhere between us. He blew some of it towards me and inhaled the rest into his nostrils like a vacuum cleaner. His eyes which were red became white as he was left with no pupils. His appearance was pitiful to the extreme and he began to laugh foolishly.
He was overcome with an eerie series of spasms coursing through his neck and shoulders, but he suppressed the sensations somehow as he looked in my direction once more. He smiled and licked his lips as a small streak of blood made its way to his mouth. The "stuff" was so strong that it apparently made the madman bleed.
From the looks of things his situation was dire, and if he did not die at my hands today he would probably kick the bucket if he was forced to use that thing again. I avoided that powder quickly so I didn't have time to figure out what it was. But the instant it came out, I realized it was not anything I wanted to get near to.

"This fool...He's had to use this now. He's cornered like a rat now. Even if he wins, he won't make it back to the base. Good riddance." Lena murmured on the sidelines but it didn't escape my ears.
"Hum..." I was shocked to find out she didn't plan to help him but rather decided let him die. They probably had some sort of grudge or something I thought.
No matter what it was, it did not concern me either way. I needed this guy dead, so it was the perfect scenario for me.
The system scanning had reached 97% by now and I could stop playing around with the simpleton. I just needed to figure out the respawn place before I disposed of the blonde man. This would be the first time I'd use Hokuto on a pirate around my level. I was curious to see if it would be an instant kill like with the bandits from before.
I started gathering energy around my body as my sense became enhanced, more energy was gathering around me.
"Ugh!...Kid, you pushed me. Get ready to witness ultimate speed." The crazed guy whimpered in an inaudible manner, as he fought the adrenaline rush that was coursing his veins.
"You're very strong but it does not mean shit if you can't touch me. I won't hold back. Blame yourself for being too precocious if you die from this." He let out a final reminder before he seized his dagger and gave pursue. After a few steps, his form vanished.
I smiled and closed my eyes preparing for the oncoming onslaught.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.
