Even when getting surrounded by thousands of the guardian's minions, Chrono and Aramis didn't falter. There's no way they would give up and die. Thorin didn't have any major injuries, but its stamina had suffered the most due to the earlier battle against Oroviath.

The battle against Oroviath took a lot of time, it was almost morning and Aramis’s bonus would disappear soon and since the beginning of the battle he has been drinking health potions like water leaving him with 5 health potions.

When fighting against Oroviath, he needed to defend against the minions while assembling the musket, he needed to tank some damage just to finish assembling the musket. He also needed to tank the attack damage from the guardian's minions when he aimed the musket at the guardian.

With 'Soul Eater' Chrono didn't have a health issue because he could replenish his health when he killed a minion, Chrono’s sword skill made it easy for Chrono to slay Oroviath's minions. But since Chrono was low level, his stamina was lacking, he could only survive for 1 or 2 hours more at most.

Despite all of that, Chrono, Aramis and Thorin kept on fighting together without giving up hope. The loyal Thorin stayed at his master’s side even though it could get out of this situation alone. Besides, unlike Chrono and Aramis, Thorin won’t respawn and come back to life if it got killed.

The sun began to rise in the east. Aramis’s bonus started to disappear while Chrono and Thorin’s stamina dropped below 15%. Unfortunately, Chrono didn't have any stamina potions since that potion needed intermediate level alchemy to be made. Even in despair, the three of them kept on fighting until they heard a commotion from the west side of the battlefield.

"(What was that? Rescue party coming? But it's too late, we may already be dead when they finally reach us.)"

The distance between the rescue party and Chrono was almost 50 kilometers. Even by running non-stop without any obstacles they needed at least 1 hour and 23 minutes assuming they could run in 100 meters every 10 seconds. But currently the rescue party needed to face the guardian's minions along the way so it would take 3 times as long to reach Chrono’s party. That was plenty of time for Chrono’s party to be wiped out in the current situation.

"Chrono, a rescue party has come."

"I know, but it's no use."

"Don't worry, they can come on time."

"I saw Jurek, but he's more the slow but strong type of fighter it will take ages for him to get here."

"I saw Sitka among the rescue party, they can surely come on time."

"Unless her dance and song can buff Jurek’s party’s speed by 500% they won’t get here on time."

"There's no way an overpowered buff like that exists."

"So what she's going to do? Dance and sing her way through here?"

"Yeah"

"What!?"

Chrono was puzzled by Aramis’s answers, but his party started to take a defensive approach trying to survive on that sliver of hope.

"1 hour! We may survive for another hour by fighting defensively."

"Plenty of time."

"I hope your confidence isn't baseless"

"It's not."

"They can't wait anymore. Sitka you go on ahead."

"Okay"

Sitka closed her eyes while humming a song. It was one of the secret songs that can't be sung aloud.

'Dragon Song'

Then she started to dance the secret dance as she humming the song.

'Dragon Dance'

After a minute, she opened her eyes again while smiling. Her eyes had changed as if they were the eyes of a dragon.

'Dragon Trance'

Sitka charged at Oroviath's minions and hit them as if hitting a fly. Sitka killed the minions along the way with one hit while she was moving at a speed at least 3 times faster than Thorin. With her current speed, she could get to Chrono’s party in less than 30 minutes.

Sitka continued with her speed assault heading to Chrono’s party, her speed and destructive power were amazing, despite that she moved as if she was dancing gracefully. Her graceful dance and her scent delayed the guardian's minions’ actions against her by 0.5 seconds. Enough time for Sitka to slay them gracefully.

"It's been a long time since we saw Sitka fight. I still wish she was our leader."

"Yeah, she doesn't like to show her skill much. But when she does fight always does it gracefully unlike a certain someone."

"I still don't know why Sitka refused to become an Emperor Challenger back then. If she had actually become the challenger, she might have succeeded unlike......whoops"

Jurek hit all three of his henchman before he spoke.

"Ehem!! There's a reason for that, Buff me fast, I want to get the spotlight too."

In less than 20 minutes, Sitka arrived at where Chrono’s party was located. Looking at Sitka’s extraordinary fighting prowess, Chrono was speechless.

"(What’s with her fighting prowess? She’s almost, no she's on Seth’s level!)"

"It's been awhile since I saw the 'Devil's Princess' fighting."

"Wow.....Is she one of those challengers of the emperor’s seat?"

"No, Sitka never became a challenger."

"Why? Because the leader had already become the challenger?"

"No, there's a certain reason she can’t become the challenger. Many people think Jurek is the strongest person in the clan because he is the leader and he was one of the Emperor’s seat challengers but in reality Sitka is the strongest person in the clan."

"I see....wait aren't you a new recruit? How do you know things only the veteran members know?"

"It's a long story."

"Make it short and tell me later when we get out of this situation."

"Sure."

While in 'Dragon Trance' Sitka could also use normal dances and songs to debuff the surrounding enemies and also buff herself and Chrono’s party. Her dance inflicted all kinds of status ailments on the minions while her song restored Chrono’s party stamina and give them increased health and mana regen.

'War Song'

Your party felt pumped hearing a song. Stamina refresh to 100%

'Forest Song'

Your party body feels relaxed hearing a song. Refresh 50% health per second for 1 hour

'Ocean Song'

Your party mind felt at ease hearing a song. Refresh 50% mana per second 1 hour

"(What the.......The buff completely broken, basically I can't die for an hour unless there's a monster that can kill me in one hit? And I can spam skills without worrying about the mana for one hour? And she can buff us while debuffing and slaying the monsters around us!!)"

'Dance of calamity'

Surrounding enemy feared the calamity watching the dance. Fear inflicted to all enemy watching the dance.

'Mad joker dance'

Surrounding enemy confuse with the annoying dance they saw. Confused inflicted to all enemy watching the dance.

'The great peace dance'

Surrounding enemy felt they shouldn't fight and seek peace instead after watching the dance. All enemy watching the dance dropped their defense by 50%

While Sitka was dancing, some minions tried to approach her to attack. But since the dance moves involved swinging hands and legs, any monster that got near her died from getting hit by the dance moves. The dance moves themselves were harmless but Sitka was currently in the 'Dragon Trance' and her mere movements can give tremendous damage matching a dragon.

BOOM!!!

In the far distance, Jurek was approaching Chrono’s party slowly. Jurek also killed every minion he hit in one hit but unlike Sitka he was moving 10 times slower making it hard for him to dodge the minions’ attacks. Instead, the minions’ attacks didn't do any damage to him. Making him look like an invincible giant on a rampage.

ROAAARRHH!!!

Jurek roared, taunting all the surrounding minions. His dignity didn't let any of the guardian's minions attack anyone else besides him. Following him were 3 high ranking clan members. The first one was Grandin from the cat race. Grandin’s job was debuffing the surrounding monsters to make it easier for Jurek to slay them.

The second one was Grodel, a half vampire and half elf. As a monster, Jurek can't be healed by normal healers. But Grodel’s class was 'Dark Healer', a class normal users try to avoid since the class can’t heal any normal race users. But Grodel can excellently heal any user that has chaotic status.

And finally the third one was Grail from the draconian race. Like Grodel, his class, 'Dark Enchanter' can’t buff any normal users but he can buff any chaotic player excellently. The buffs and healing from Grail and Grodel got more powerful if the one they buff or heal has more infamy points.

The three henchmen made it look like Jurek was invincible while Jurek excellently did his job taunting every minion around to attack him. It was rare to see chaotic users have good teamwork like Jurek and his party in Emperor Saga.

It is said that this combination almost won the Emperor’s seat back then, but a better solo user beating them made Jurek and his henchmen lose their confidence and quit the game.

After 1 hour, the area was finally cleared. Chrono and Aramis prostrated themselves in front of Jurek and his high ranking members to seek forgiveness.

"I'm sorry, I should have realized Aramis’s brain does not work."

"I'm sorry, I should have known Chrono is too damn careless."

""PFTH!!!""

Both Aramis and Chrono looked at each other scornfully. They were back to sworn enemies after an hour of fighting together betting their lives. Ignoring both Chrono and Aramis’s statement, Jurek yawned.

"HWarrgggh......Enough, I saw everything, You guys didn't log out and sleep properly after the second lair. Instead, both of you were trying to complete the quest faster by going straight to serving the banquet to the guardian. If you guys had actually served the banquet tomorrow night, that stupid mistake might not have happened."

"........Sorry"

"Log out for now and rest properly, we will judge you later at the clan hideout."

""Okay...""

While Chrono and Aramis were getting scolded by Jurek, the three henchmen hugged each other with tears in their eyes.

"Finally we can sleep!!"

"My wife will surely slap me."

"Ah yes, you just got married 3 days ago right?"

"Since we were busy watching those two bastards not once we......."

"..........Don't worry, you are busy I can help back up your statement."

"......................It will worsen the situation......."

The life of a gamer is a hard one.

Once Daniel woke up, he took a shower straight away and prepared his breakfast after that. Today was the day he started his part time job. With Daniel’s current appearance, there's no way he will make a good first impression on his employer.

Yesterday, he logged out from the game at 5 AM which meant he had slept less than 2 hours before waking up again at 7 AM.

"(I can't be late on the first day.)"

Daniel hurriedly got ready and rushed to the door before his foot stumbled on something. It was a cheap plastic plate Daniel used to feed his cat. It was an old stray cat Daniel picked up after he saw the cat lying in an alley injured by fighting with a bunch of stray dogs.

"(It's been a month already since that cat disappeared, I should throw this away.)"

Daniel continued on his way to the part time job. Because he didn't want to be late, he took a taxi to the location. He arrived at the central hospital 7:30 AM.

"(Good, I'm not late.)"

Daniel’s part time job was at the central hospital. He was accepted easily because the central hospital needed a hand in a particular department. Daniel’s job was three hours a day starting at 7:45 AM ending at 11:00 AM.
