'Fuck! I can't run! Even if the second one is aiming at me, the first one hasn't finished yet!' Lone yelled in his mind as he and Saturn continued to battle against the Darkness Breath being aimed at the people in the forest.
Never before had Lone wished so badly that his unique skills didn't have restrictions. They had always seemed fair and reasonable until now. "Mental Destruction won't kill him, and because of Darkness, it won't stop his skill... There's no point using the one I'm saving... My rank is too low to affect him with the Lord of Possibility... What am I supposed to do?! I don't have the energy to block another attack! My MP is almost at rock bottom as it is!'
Lone was desperate. He needed help, no, he needed a miracle. What he got instead, was the next best thing.
"You've surprised me a lot, Lone." A calm and peaceful voice come from behind him. Craning his neck around as he continued to recreate his Bone Armour Shields as quickly as his strained mana points would allow, Lone saw a familiar and rugged face.
Ele'hunda grinned at him. He raised his only remaining hand which was now pulsing with violent red energy, and he grabbed Lone by his collar. "You've done well. I'll see you on the other side, one day." With that, he flung Lone towards the forest with his full strength.
After he had done that, he jumped up into the air and landed in front of Saturn. Now that he was in the way of the Darkness Breath, in less than a split-second, he cocked his only arm back and launched a single punch.
The air seemed to crack and the ground was weeping in the wake of the power being emitted by Ele'hunda's fist. The two forces, Ele'hunda's punch, and the new Darkness Breath on top of the old one, collided.
Ele'hunda stamped his feet into the ground so that he wouldn't get flung away. He grit his teeth as he felt his fist being ripped apart. Shockwaves of red energy rolled around him. His hand grew in size until it was reminiscent of a Titan's.
"You... will... not... kill... him!" Ele'hunda roared as he drew even more power out of himself and channelled it into his fist. Something about his aura snapped. It contorted and changed, almost as if to fit a new mould.
Ythmagobla's eyes shook. "A new Divinity?" Even as his soul was collapsing and his breaths were being pushed back, Ythmagobla felt happy. "Indeed. If it's you, I do not mind dying together. Let us leave this dying world in the hands of the next generation, shall we?"
Ele'hunda just grinned in response. He slowly stepped forward, inch by inch, step by step, until finally, he was right in front of Ythmagobla's mouth. Imbuing his voice with power, the elven-king said, "Today marks the day that my world tree goes down in history. I will be immortalised as the mighty slayer of the Ancient Darkness Dragon. Not a bad way to die, eh?"

Booming laughter filled the destroyed and broken field. 'I suppose not. I am regretful that I will not live to see Altros saved or destroyed, but this is fine. Very well, let us return to the Primals together.'
A massive explosion with Ele'hunda's fist and Ythmagobla's mouth at the centre issued the end of the battle.
Elestia struggled to maintain the world tree's barrier, which she had tripled in density to obscure the fight from the army and citizens hidden within. The force of the explosion threatened to shatter the barrier in its entirety. She was forced to draw upon most of her newly reserved power to reinforce it even further to prevent it from collapsing in on itself.
Lone worked with Lipsilk to divert the loose power that went towards them and their group. They were both littered with injuries, but they were successful in keeping their group safe from harm beyond a few minor wounds.
In six different corners of the world, an Ancient being in each one looked to the sky suddenly and halted whatever they were previously doing.
In the tallest spire of The Cathedral of The Primals in the capital of The Holy Land, an old woman dressed lavishly furrowed her brow as she peered out of the stained window in her chamber. Wrinkles covered her face and she spoke no words as she sensed Ythmagobla's demise.
Deep below the ground in the equal parts magic and machine city, Leytograndia, in a small bookshop, a furry little creature that looked like a bipedal rat, smiled as he gazed through the roof of his store. "He failed, huh? Good riddance. His plan was horseshit anyway." His assistant gave him a funny look, but he just adjusted his glasses and gave her a small smile.
An enormous roar resounded within the monster lands of the northern side of Altros. The vibrations made from this roar reached all the way out into the ocean and threatened to capsize Gilbert, Grimsley and Shana's boat. "Te fook was 'at?!" Grimsley shouted in agitation.
Gilbert frowned. "I have no idea, but whatever it was, it didn't sound happy." Shana nodded rapidly in agreeance with her master.
Two men with light blue skin who looked strikingly similar to Fep, stopped rolling their dice and left the casino they were entertaining themselves with. Once outside, they gazed to the stars and they both shed a single tear.
The left one said, "He failed, Brother."
"So he did, Brother," the right one replied.
Deep beneath the Fallen Sea - otherwise known as the southern ocean - a monster with eighty-two eyes and fourty-nine tentacles arose from its incredibly long slumber.
The ruins as old as time itself that housed this beast crumbled as it moved. Each one of its many eyes was fixated on a single point: the sky.
In a place known only as The Ancient Lands, every blade of grass, every tree, every rock, every bird, every animal; they all sang a song of sadness and despair while pointing straight up. It was as if the very land itself was weeping with sorrow at the passing of one of its former comrades.

The Headmaster of The Academy sat in his office as he rolled a crystal ball around in his palm. "So it finally happened... A new Divinity was born and died at the exact same time... It shouldn't be too long before we're reunited, my old friend."
Every single person at the Divine-rank, much like the Headmaster, felt Ele'hunda shine brighter than any star before he faded out of existence. Many of them were sad, some happy, but regardless, almost every single one of them launched an investigation immediately to find out the origin of this new Divinity that came and left faster than any other had done so in the past.
Returning to the world tree, Lone held back his tears. This was the first time he'd ever had someone that he respected, someone that he cared about, die right in front of him. To protect him no less, but he couldn't afford to get emotional. Not yet.
He grabbed Saturn briskly and began to walk off. Lipsilk was furious. "You have nothing to say, Lone?! He just sacrificed himself for you! How dare you not at least offer a few words of prayer!"
Lone turned to face the angered Fairy and was met with perhaps the saddest and most distraught face he had ever seen in his short life. 'Ah... Of course he's like this... I guess even people that are millions of years old are still vulnerable.'
Sighing lightly and trying to put on a warm smile, Lone replied, "I know how you feel, but now isn't the time. We still need to prepare for the Talso Empire as well as-"
Lipsilk cut off his words. "No! We must- we must get Ele'hunda..." Something inside of the Fairy's head clicked. "You've healed the world tree and even me... Maybe... If his soul's still intact... Can't you resurrect him, Lone?!"
'Ah, shit. Damn it. I didn't know he was so unstable. Just how close was Lipsilk to Ele'hunda? It's not like I can't understand, but...' Lone sighed. "I can't. I'm a soul oracle, not a god. Maybe if I was a shoddy creation mage like that Vampire I'd be able to make him a mindless puppet, but I'm not and I never would."
Once again, Lipsilk's expression was clouded with rage. "Useless! He saved your life!" The tiny man then pointed at everyone here, Hazel's group included. "He saved all of our lives! You lot are from another world!" Lipsilk fell to his knees and began weeping. "Surely... Surely one of you can do... something..."
Lone felt a stinging pain in his chest. 'Would I act like this if a Wanderer died?' He shook his head and tried to dismiss that disturbing thought. 'Lipsilk still has some power. There will be time to grieve later.'
Lone chose to activate the skill he had gained from his recent racial change, Ascending Might. Everyone present except for Eolande felt a pressure weighing down on them. This went doubly so for Lipsilk who Lone was focusing on.
"We need to stay vigilant. If I'm right, Clicker's going to show up soon. I don't know what he'll do, but he's involved in this mess somehow. Lipsilk, I can't imagine what you're feeling right now, but please, keep it inside until this is all over, okay? We need you still. I need you still." Lone's voice was amazingly charming. His stats on top of his skill made his words seem almost like gospel.
While he was incredibly old and powerful, Lipsilk wasn't a special race of the fae. He was an ordinary Fairy, and hence, nowhere near the zenith of his species. This was why Eolande was mostly unaffected by the Ascending Might since as an Elder Tylwyth Teg, she was considered to be at the peak of her species by the system.
Lipsilk wiped his face and smiled bitterly. "You're right. I'm sorry I showed you something so unsightly." He floated up and clenched his fists. "I don't know who this 'Clicker' is, but can I assume he's powerful?"
Lone nodded grimly. "The last time we met, he was able to seal one of my unique skills and ignore another one. He's not an opponent we can afford to underestimate."
Hazel was just about to say something before a low cackle filled everyone's ears. "Kekekeke... As I... predicted... you bested... the Dragon... A new... Divinity was... even born... It died... but still... this is... worth some pondering."
Everyone looked towards the source of this broken and distorted voice only to see a strange looking old man standing forty or so feet away from them. A robe covered his hunching figure. What drew every's attention was the bright miniature sun that was acting as the head for his walking cane.
Lone glanced at Saturn who immediately flew off further into the forest after picking up on his signal.
Scott looked confused. "Is that Clicker, Mr McCullen?"
'Mr McCullen? That brings back memories. I don't recognise this kid. Was he from a different class? Or maybe he's from this world?' Lone thought to himself as he replied, "No. I don't know who this person is."
"Kekekeke... You can call... me Tapper... Fox. Out of... all of the... participants... you may be the... most interesting... though the... Sloth is also... a worthy... contender..." Tapper said cryptically.
Lone's eyes sharpened and sweat starting to drip down his palms. 'This guy is just like Clicker... He knows about the gods, Doesn't he?'

The Swarm
Anthony had been looking forward to playing the hottest new virtual reality game. When he put the VR helmet on he was met with a prompt asking him if he wanted to take a test to become a swarm knight. Thinking that this was one of the classes in the game he accepted. Instead of finding himself in the game, Anthony found that he was transported to a different planet. A planet where he would learn the greater truth of the universe. Everything was based on magic in the universe. Except that magic was based on nanorobots, called the swarm, that had been created through highly advanced technology. Genetics determined the access level and the amount of control that someone could wield over the swarm, and therefore their status in this society. Long ago Earth had been cutoff from the swarm. Now that it had been rediscovered, Earth would be reintegrated into the swarm. Unfortunately when that happened all the current technology on Earth would fail and be replaced with the ability to use magic. In effect, it would be the system apocalypse. As someone able to control the swarm, Anthony found himself in the unique position to influence how Earth was reintegrated into the swarm. Perhaps he could change things enough to save most of the people on Earth. But first he would have to learn how to control the swarm and become one of the leaders in the society he found himself in. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it somewhere between PG-13 and R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, and nudity.
